Hmm, here is another way.
Instead of basing your app on power how about job vacancies.
So lets say like some small shop has a shop keeper needed, they can pay you a small fee and you post there details on your app about their vacancy. Now any user who downloads your app and opens it with internet connection enabled, he would see the details of job vacancies, and because its android the location can be mapped into google maps. Think about it, you will have billions of customers looking to hire someone, and this app will allow for the common none-skilled person to be able to applay for a job with other people in the same category and the small company or shop has a wider variety to choose from off potential employees, so they choose the best.

I live in Kenya, would be happy to work with you to create this app and use it in my country also.

PLUS: Once the company gets a vacany filled they inform you and you take them off, hence increasing efficiency, pottential employees won't go there anymore and waste their time instead look for another vacant job location.

But seriously, this is pissing me off, devices like samsung galaxy music get OS's upgrades while there processing power and RAM is shit compared to Tecno N3. Why don't Tecno release the source code for Tecno N3 so that if they are too lazy to update atleast let us make our own.

OT: Lolipop is shit, sucks, only new thing from 4.4.2 is rainbow colors everywhere, looks like a rainbow vomited on my phone. Not to mention performance, lags like shit. And the development category for apps for it are just plain bullshit, it's now almost ten times harder to create hello world app for lolipop than Kitkat.

Lolipop is Google's version of Microsoft's Windows 8. Shittiest OS, with no benefits over pre-decessor.

How comes when I download the file it comes as an exe? By the way no internet on phone so using pc, and pc is ubuntu, not windows.

No offence but is this ROM really KitKat or just some themes added to stock rom and a little change of build.prop info? Thinking of buying Tecno M3 if this ROM is really Kitkat

Yo, is that your forum app reading data from the internet or just some pics and texts alreaday included in the apk? please share your source code, I would like to know how I can read a website and phrase par of it into an android app so user can get direct access to that info via button click.

Eclipse is no longer updated/supported. So the earlier you switch to Android Studio the better for you. I feel the same since I haven't used any other IDE for android development apart from Eclipse. Now I have started using Android Studio. One thing I notice is that it make life easy because it can generate many code snippets for a particular feature for you. By the time I finish one or two projects I will become a lot familiar with it.

I will also suggest you look into Material Design. Now it is backward compatible to android 4.

Even gingerbread?

So I just recently started programming for android 5.0 and wow, it's so different from programming for 4.4.x or under. There are now two new projects created on creating first project, I don't even know what that second auto generated one is for. There is more change. Using eclipse by the way. Now almost starting to see Android going down hill unless they change their new programming tructure or stop forcing people to go for the anrdoi studio because most of us already depend on eclipse and don't ind it necessary to change. COMMENTS!!

You should create a whatsapp group for strictly android programming, it would be easier to get answers and assists in android devolepment and save data bundles used to load this webpage.

Hmm, can't see the so called application, anyways, about the inter activity communication tutariol you did, I tried running mine with min and max sdk set to 10 and compiler of android 2.3.3 and whenever I click the button to go to the next activity it crashes, I think that method doesn't work gingerbread or lower. please assist.

nothing is better than nokia earphones. Cheapest if sold, free if came with a phone, And they go to 1+ years of usage.

Why not create android programming group in whatsapp for people who want to start android programming and are probably stuck in some small basic code. It would be alot helpful to get help from someone on the go.

also it has a new ART means it's gon b faster on the average.
d storage access is now restricted..

ART came from android Kitkat, admin and guest stuff was there even in gingerbread, just that admin was super user mod after rooting. Last thing about storage isn't even a benefit.

Android should stop this bogus releases, some of them all that changes is the user interface, for example from android 4.2 to 4.3 not untill 4.4.2 is something new introduced. New Android 5.0 just has a cooler interface, nothing else. Performance might even be worse than kitkat.
