Ajimobi lied, washing of dead bodies abroad (Uk to specific) is done by professionals. Anybody cannot just go into the health service and get a job of washing dead body not even in the 60's. |
I think we use the word design wrongly. When you use the word design, it means that even the schematic diagram was drawn without copying it from somewhere (even if you copied it from somewhere you must have added something new). I think lecturers should advise student to use the word construct instead of design. Also, were the student able to get the video of the Arial view covered by the drone because that is what drone is meant to do and not just flying. The guy that is condeming other Universities technology, if you see some technological project from some Polytechnics and Universities of technology you beg to withdraw your comment. Only few project by Engineering students are designed and this is mainly abroad because it ll be a research work comprises of lot of department not in Nigeria where research work is in ICU unit and about to visit the cementary |
Kindly post details on how we can help on this platform. No amount is too small. We need to help her. OP plz do the needful Thanks |
Stellamariss:. Guy, don't worry. If you are running your ND now then go for DE after you've completed it. However, if you are running your HND be proud of it, don't just cram to pass. Study and understand the course so that if an opportunity comes your way you will "KILL IT". |
simplebb:BEngTech: Bachelor of Engineering Technology is a field of study that focuses on the applications of engineering and modern technology in areas such as product improvement, manufacturing, construction, and engineering operational functions. |
What the OP is saying is actually the truth. He is not comparing both certificates, but trying to educate those looking forward to obtain the HND certificate in future. Lot of people on here are saying certificate does not determine your success (not in Nigeria), yes they are right, but do you know that if one certificate (BSc) opens a door for you to a big company that pays well, becoming successful will be faster than when you are denied employment because you are having one certificate(HND) that employers feel is "rubbish". My experience: I applied for an Engineering job (well, the advert only specified first degree holders to apply, and since HND is "equivalent" to a degree in Nigeria, I applied). I passed the first stage, and at the second stage we were meant to face another interview panel. The interview process was going on well until the last guy (who happens to be the head of the panel) spotted my qualification and the following ensues. Interviewer: You are a HND holder Me: Yes Interviewer: This position is for BEng/BSc holder, are you aware of that? Me: Well, the advert stated that only first degree holders should apply, and according to the law HND is "equivalent" to BSc( first degree), hence the reason I applied as the advert never stated BSc/BEng/BTech or a University degree. Interviewer:Looked at the advert and smiled; you are brilliant. If I may ask, why did you go to a Polytechnic, why not a University? Me: To be trained as an Engineer/Technologist, which to the best of my knowledge I believe I have acquired what it takes to start a career in the field of Engineering to be precise. The entire panel: smiled (because that was not the answer they were expecting). Interviewer: Well, from your reply and result it shows that you are a brilliant guy, but you shouldn't be here because you should have been told last two weeks(at the first stage of the interview) that this job is for a degree holder, and is with regret that despite the fact that you have impress us (other members of the panel nodding their heads in agreement) we cannot employ you, not that you are not brilliant. Among those we have interviewed today I'll say that you are among the best and if not for your certificate (HND) you would have been scheduled to meet with the MD for a final discussion, but is with regret that your application will not be processed further to the final stage(The guy was straight to the point). This happened in 2008, but do you guys know what? Despite my experience(s) I've never regretted attending or passing through a Polytechnic. I think HND should be scrapped and Polytechnic should be allowed to run National Diploma only or better still , Polytechnics should be allowed to run a straight five years programme and award BEngTech (this is a degree that no institution in Nigeria is awarding right now) and their nomenclature be changed from Polytechnic to University of Applied Technology.. |
Leez:Please tell me what was given to him that he died in active service? How do the young ones remember him and appreciate his effort. I'm not an Ibo man, but i am writing as a Nigerian. I am not saying that the state should declare holiday, but a status or even "loby" so that the stadium in Lagos can be named after him. In some country the no 6 Jersy would have been retained as an honour. The status of these gluttons he is errecting what have they done for the country or for Imo state. That is it |
Leez:Yes it was, but he died playing for the Nation, not for Lagos state. Don't cover or protect these politicians when they go wrong. Lagos remembered him becos it happened in Lagos. The FG and Imo govt hold that poor man a BIG regards |
Seeing Rochas errecting status of pple that has not in any way contributed to the lives of the pple of Imo I weep. Samuel Okwaraji was an Imo indigen, he died playing for Nigeria during a qualifying match against Angola to book a spot for the world cup in Italy. Nigeria failed to remember Samuel who did everything for the country. Not even the National Stadium in Lagos was named after him. It's so painful even the state he was from never think of him , neither do they remmber him. I asked myself, does it worth it to fight for a country like Nigeria or even for any state in Nigeria(Biafra, IPOB) Lagos state tried by remembering Samuel during Fashola's era, he was not a Lagosian but he was honoured and remembered, but the governor of his state has failed in all aspect, failed to remember Samuel, instead he is errecting status of "gluttons". As I write this , I pray that you continue to rest in peace Samuel Okwaraji R.I.P |
Hello OP, I ll answer your question based on engineering, and I hope it helps. There is a difference between B.Tech,B.sc,and BEng. The similarities is that they are all science/Engineering related degrees. The difference is based on their training. Someone with a Bsc in Engineering is known as an Engineering Scientist whose job is mainly to look at the scientific composition of devices used in any engineering project. These guys ll tell you that that the radiation from the phone or mast has little effect on human or what and what are put together to form a diode, resistors, transistor etc. Someone with a B.Tech/BEng.Tech is known as an Engineering Technologist(kindly know that HND holders fall in this category). Their job is mainly application. They get the design and apply all necessary component to build the device. These guys are highly technically inclined as they can trouble shoot any fault within a shot time frame. Someone with a BEng is an Engineer and their job is to design. All they do is look at a problem come out with the design and then passed it to the tech guys (B.Tech) who ll carry out the job using components that have already bean tested by the scientist (Bsc). This is based on the Seydny accord. Plz pardon any error as I'm on transit |
Russia is not normally the easiest country to visit as you need to get hold of a visa whenever you are travelling there, but the authorities have helped football fans out. Fans heading to Russia to see World Cup games will not need to get a visa for the country which will save people a lot of effort and a substantial fee. The US Russian embassy set out the arrangements for travelling without a visa in this statement. ‘In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, entry (exit) of foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in Russia as spectators for sports events within the framework of the FIFA 2018 World Cup (will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saransk, Volgograd), is carried out without issued Russian visas. ‘However, in order to be admitted to Russia foreign citizens/stateless persons must have a valid identity document (“tourist” passport) and a “Personalized card of the spectator” (also known as a “Fan ID”)’ What is a Fan ID? The Fan ID card is needed by any spectator who is attending games at the World Cup in Russia, and anyone who wants to get into the country next summer without a visa. You can only apply for one when you have applied for match tickets and FIFA has approved the application. You can submit the application here – but it is not possible to yet as ticket approvals have not been sent out yet. When and where to apply for tickets It is possible to apply for individual match tickets for all matches at the World Cup at the FIFA website. So, if you need to go to Russia to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria, all you need is to get a ticket for the match and apply for a fan ID.That is all you need to be in Moscow. http://www.russianembassy.org/page/fifa-world-cup-2018-visa-information |
Donald3d:I will like to know what is the average broadband speed in Nigeria? Now if the broadband speed is ok (which I don't think) then their advert is a bait to attract people to patronize them, because you can't stream with 10GB for 10day (let say 5hours minnimum each day) It's a good idea but only if and if only if what they plan to offer is satellite. Even sky tv has a router box and sky tv HD box. Is the box they ll provide serves as a router ? Well further explanation ll help, anyway nairaland is a place to learn ![]() |
Towncrier247:I still find it hard to comprehend why a lady will allow a guy (or vis-a-vis) to carry a coverage while having SEX. You don't trust any one. "If there is one evil scientists have created; is the social media and internet". I'm a guy and I ll say that the guy in question is a foolish guy. He should have asked the woman to send him abroad where he can start a new life instead of disgracing her. After all the woman would have been given him money and gift for his services. Now he has loose finally. The $50k he won't get likewise he has used his had to block is "ATM". The guy is a foolish guy. He can cajole the lady and he 'll be placed on a life salary/pension under Congo pay roll. Foolish guy, that block is "fortune" with his own hands and greed ... I dey vex , I am livid ... |
ify01:From what I can see, while designing the blog you didn't create a page that ll "host" your post, hence taking users to your about page. If you go to your dash board go to where the post is and remove the about us link, then Crete a separate page that ll host all your post. I think that should help, if not e-mail me on lehee2003@gmail.com where I ll be happy to help. Happy Sunday to you all |
The official website of The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, has been hacked. https://www.federalpolyede.edu.ng/

MrBrownJay1:Is not like that bro, the truth is that most employers are using the unemployment situation in the country to 'milk' the youth. It's so painful that there is no labour law in Nigeria so any body can do whatever he or she wants because he/she is an employer. We should know that there are private employers in other countries but they abide with the laws of labour and won't pay 'shit' to pple, but in Nigeria anything goes, the worst part is that fellow Nigerians ll be the one saying that; he owns his job and he can do whatever he wants ...what!!!! The day I know that Nigeria is 'sick' was when a friend with HND, BEng (UK), Msc (UK) , CCNA. applied for a lecturing job in a private Polytechnic he was offered N30k. So, my dear what ll you say about that ... |
ikp120:Whenever topic like this comes up I laugh at the way our so called 'graduate' on this platform respond. It's glaring that some pple just believe and 'consumed' what their parent/friends/lecturers/ told them about other institutions without carrying out proper research. People should realize that Polytechnic, University, College of Education are all higher institutions of learning. The problem is the way and manner we run these programs. If we are to go by the credit load each of theses institutions offer, we will realize that Polytechnic students offer more credit load than University( a recent evaluation by WES equated Nigeria HND to a post graduate qualification because of the credit load plus the one year industrial training. It means with your HND you can apply for a Master degree. I think people should understand that Polytechnic is not a place where they do buying and selling but a place where people are trained to become Engineers and scientist, technologist etc The path of trainig may be different from that of a University, but it hurt me to see people looking down on HND holders as if they have wasted 5yrs of their lives studying for the the qualification. Take Finland for example; in Finland, Polytechnics(University of Applied Sciences) run degree program, the only difference is that they are not allowed to award academic masters, but a degree holder from a Polytechnic in Finland can go for his Masters in any Universities in Finland and abroad.Polytechnic in Finland runs professional masters and not academic, that is the only difference. Instead for our politicians to come Up with good idea on how to revamp the system, all they do us to create arguement over BSC& HND. In the UK, a school cert holder can earn over £21k a year ( that is above what a Bsc earns) in as much he has the experience in the field, but in Nigeria the case is different, even if you have the experience and have HND, they still prefer to higher a fresh university graduate for the post, hence the reason why things aren't working in some sectors. A fresher from any institution still has to understudy even if he/she made a first class. Let us all respect qualifications be it SSCE, NCE, ONE,ND,HND,NEC etc, the reason is because is a qualification worked for . .... I'm Sorry for any error(s) as i'm typing from my phone and also on transit |
BOUNTYDOG:But the woman didn't get to UK today. If trully they wanted to help him as some pple are saying on here they would have find ways (legal) by which she can get her papers. Also, if she is a visitor, transfering the money to an account in Nigeria would have helped them out. But come to think of it , if they transfer £20 - service charge the woman we be paid less than £20. Naija I hail |
Rosskii:My brother inbthe UK when you do things, do it the normal and acceptable way. If they had opened a bank account theyvwouldbhave been able to defend themselves. Do you know in that same UK a friend helped a fellow Nigerian with £2k on the very day his visa ll expire, he gave me £ 2k ( he met him on his way to work and told him that he ll be going back to Naija because he can't renew is visa and that day was the last day) My friend rushed to Barclays get £2k from his account, gave it to his friend and went to work. The guy applied ,got his visa (residency)and after some month my friend asked for the money this guy denied. They went to a police station and the police said since there is no evidence there is nothing they can do. My friend no see £2k collect oooo.(mind you he got the 2k from over the counter and gave to his friend) So if the Dr. had paid into an account she would have been able to defend herself |
blackberlin:My brother UK, is not Nigeria where our judiciary system and investigation is scrap. If they are 'clean' as you have said why didn't they open an account for her so that a day like this they ll be able to defend the pay using are account statement. The law in the land is that any shift/work above ten hours shld be tagged as over time(if is above 10 you must not be mandatory to do it) My brother let us not allow our mentality to think the allegation against the Dr. Is UN fair. Even if , I still see some element of slavery in this case |
blackberlin:Guy, I am ashamed of reading your comment. With due respect, I respect your opinion but to be honest it doesn't hold water. What this doctor did is not help but salvery and this is what some rich pple are doing in Nigeria and pple can't talk becos they ll say you are ungreatful. £20/#400 = #32k a month (less than what she receives in Nigeria) London is the most expensive place to live in the Uk, £20 is nothing because it cant pay your transport. A return ticket on underground is almost £4/day and this woman works Mon-Friday. My brother calculate that plz do. No feeding, house rent , bills etc. Guy plz we should not be encouraging wickedness and termed it to be help. Reading through your comment I weep and weep for the poor in the land. If pple like you think this way the rich ll continue to opress the poor. They can only do such act in Nigeria and pple like you ll appreciate them ,hence the more hardship. A Gp earns over £3k a month , so why cant she pay that woman some reasonable amount of money. My brother this is wickedness absolutely wickedness and we should not support it. If a finger that Fed you is about to kill you, then there is no crime biting the finger to eascape. |
okay Engineering Technician.
