The first question he should have asked is how oil exploitation has addressed poverty in the Niger Delta region. The world (even the middle east) has moved on from depending on proceeds from crude sales as the major economic driver and It's time we did same. |
benzene00:Sorry oo, Warren Buffet |
Wow, what an influence. I saw the interview and never thought it would have such immediate impact on the value of the company consistenly ranked as the biggest brand in the world. Please and please DON'T go to Access bank, DON'T fall for their car perk (trap). Moreover, at 25, you should be looking outside the banking industry to start your career, the money might be good but growth is limited (unless ofcourse you are in treasury) My 2 kobo |
Please, where are these modern facilities? |
The truth is out there... ![]() |
This is one case too many within the same vicinity in just a short period, S.O.N should investigate the sources of the gas used in both incidents ASAP before things get out of hand |
All i can deduce from the article is what we accuse the South Africans and Ghanaians of - it's a form of Xenophobia. Just because displaced Kanuris are relocating to your vicinity you tag them boko haram sponsors and start a SM campaign against them? Your evidence is that they are introverted and reserved, yet you also claim they live flamboyant lifestyles at the same time. So except the Army got substantial evidence of their participation in terror acts before the arrests were made, i would say the arrests were unlawful, as the suspicions of the residents are unfounded. Don't we all know numerous "introverted and reserved" non-indigenes living amongst us? Why do we assume that all migrants would be poor? |
The way these guys are quick to quote the constitution when it favors them ehn, they have forgotten the constitution is made for the people and not the other way round. If the overwhelming population are against a proclamation therein, then it should be ammended to reflect the will of the people and the times. |
The Governors are saying one thing ( ban on open grazing), MACBAN is saying another thing (ban on underage and night grazing) all from the same meeting. Who is deceiving who? |

Beht who is this Onuachu na? |
Lol..the author of this article is either been deliberately misleading or just not bright. He claims to be comparing the value of currencies whereas he is actually comparing the cost of living. While you are at it, make sure to compare the minimum wage per hour in Nigeria (188Naira/0 4$) to that of the US(3625Naira/7.25$) and the Uk (3930-5232Naira/6.55-8.72£) using your exch rates and also inquire on what percentage of our 18+ population earn up to the 30k minimum wage monthly. My problem with Nigerians is that once some of us are comfortable we tend to forget that the majority amongst us can barely afford the very basic needs of life Since we are comparing "economic indices" why did he not compare the inflation rate here >12% and <2% in those places? This would prolly be the greatest achievement this government would make If they can actually pull this off. The NLNG model works just perfectly for ventures of corrupt-ridden, bureaucratic strongholds like the NNPC and i wonder why it has taken this long for NNPC to realise that the model needs to replicated across all their expectedly revenue generating/profit making ventures. Adopting the LNG model of 49%:NNPC and 51%:two or more privates (preferably MNCs) would see the refineries turn to a profit making entity within the shortest time. It's a win-win really |
