DeClan01: Please let them sell off these stoves and let everyone in this country rest. Refineries staff go the office and collect salary without contributing any value to the economy. The refineries have not made a profit in over thity years. They have not refined in half that time and it is the only major importer and distributor of petroleum products in the country and the only Monopolist in that sector. So why is the government keeping these leeches? Sell them off. 3 Likes |

Atiku said he was selling NNPC .... to his friends. Here it is just the refinery that will have the majority shares sold, at least for now so that private corporations can run it the same way LNG is run |

basork: GSM wasn't a FG company or institution, the government gave license to GSM operators to operate in Nigerian, there's a difference between the 2. What happened to all the government properties and institutions AtikuLOOTER privatized? What happened to the power sector jona and his looting and stealing gang privatized and sold to their cronies? I was talking about FG companies and institutions that they sold to their cronies. Stop playing bait and switch, it's not by force to comment. |

This would prolly be the greatest achievement this government would make If they can actually pull this off. The NLNG model works just perfectly for ventures of corrupt-ridden, bureaucratic strongholds like the NNPC and i wonder why it has taken this long for NNPC to realise that the model needs to replicated across all their expectedly revenue generating/profit making ventures. Adopting the LNG model of 49%:NNPC and 51%:two or more privates (preferably MNCs) would see the refineries turn to a profit making entity within the shortest time. It's a win-win really |

Why spend billions to rehabilitate the refineries.....then hand it over to private entities? Would the cost of rehab be included in the sale? If the FG isn't capable of maintaining and operating the refineries they should sell them 'as is'. 1 Like |

Everything this government campaigned against is what they are doing From petrol price to refineries to subsidy...all Atiku said this and all they could bring out of it was he wants to give it to his friends and family.. Same thing they are doing now Just to show that cluelessness are in levels..Goodluck was clueless but this right here is a kind of cluelessness that knows no bounds 3 Likes |

Nigerians enjoying the unfortunate change they never bargained. The most clueless, heartless, senseless and corrupt administration Nigeria ever had. As usual, they should handover the refineries to themselves and call it privatization. 1 Like |
