Stick with your phone, in this economic hardship. |
Saturday evening my friend was crying and begging me to follow her home that we'll come back the next day being Sunday, wetin happen, wetin happen Only thing she kept saying was "dem wan kill my mama for me!!!" Out of fear, I took extra clothes and some money and off we went, entered bus from French village, badagry to Apapa to go and save someone's mother from what? I didn't know and didn't know until I got there that my services were needed to chase some family members that were disturbing my friend's mother from the house( Biko how did it concern me?). We got there and I met 2 grown kids, I'll call them that- a boy of 16 and a girl of 24 being harbored by my friend's mum but had just beaten her up because they came back from wherever and didn't meet food( it's not your father's house, you're not even treated like househelps because they were well dressed and the woman in question is your mother's cousin) just because your parents are in the village and as per culture, she doesn't want you people to starve. Bear in mind that their father and mother's siblings want nothing to do with them. Because it was night, nothing was done until the next afternoon as morning was church, after church my friend told them to pack and leave the house but the girl said no and insulted us and I almost cried because I wasn't allowed to do anything to her. Screaming and cursing, she said no and went to sit at the veranda. She called her mum who told her not to leave there for any reason, it was on loud speaker so we all heard it. It was at this point that I told my friend that the police had to be involved or we go back to school and we did. Got there, told them what was wrong but they were stalling, then I remembered a soldier friend around that area and called him up. He met us with 6 of his friends and I was so happy to show off(it's my style). We got there and my friend told them to carry both the kids and her own mother, why? Because her mother will learn to stop being Mother Teresa and I agreed. After some hours, they all wrote an undertaking which bursted my head that the kids will not go near the house and the mother won't harbor anyone without permission from her only child (I just died with laughter), I signed as witness and we came back to school. But trust me I didn't just do without taking a full length movie-like video with Gold, my Itel phone, in fact she had a filled day as her battery refused to die because even she was enjoying the scenario. Got back in French village, badagry and I heard results were out, I ran to see my fate only for me to discover it was a hoax. I swore for them and even me for believing that they won't have taken pictures and put on various group chats. Sorry to say but family members aren't allowed in my house. It has happened before, if I wanna help people, I'll go to an orphanage. |
Ab025:Ahn Ahn, Quelle méchanceté ?! How many people would have been able to read it na? |
What about it's other specs? |
I've seen other Itel phones with at least 1gb Ram but isn't 512mb ram not too small at this time, and for a fine phone too. |
Lol... wickedness |
Used a Huawei phone by visafone |
Is Itel the only phone, aren't there others? |
It's not like I don't like the language, trust me French is sweet if taught right and by the right people in the university. But seriously, as a 300level student in French village Badagry, it ain't funny at all. Some of these lecturers have got no chill, teaching like it's my father's tongue (that one sef I've not finish learning) and expecting the best and chastising the ones who don't do so good. From someone who has been taught the language in both university and here, here is better but sometimes "c'est la même chose"- it's the same thing. Friday class was funny, don't know why it took me this long to write it down, maybe because I don't like writing, I prefer talking. Went to a class of over 500 students more or less because the lecturer said he can't teach twice, as if I care. Got there to see full hall, please why are you people still around, hardly no space, but found a seat and class starts. I shan't lie, I've never looked so lost in a class before and I was glad I wasn't the only one, it was at that moment I knew we were done for. The speech proficiency of this lecturer was amazing I won't lie, but I was lost. It didn't help that fat fat grammar was coming out of his mouth, I almost died. Looked around and I saw students sleeping and others chewing Biro. So I won't look so lost, I began to scribble nonsense on my book and trust me even a forensic detecting machine won't know what I wrote because it was rubbish. But all hope wasn't really lost because I always record every lecture on my phone and that day I decided to use Gold(my ITEL phone, name comes from her colour), she's good as a recording device. And at the end of the lecture, I played back and trust me, I actually got what the man was saying even though there was a lot of play and stop but I got it. Technology wins. |
stalyf:Well, fun if you have money and boring if you don't. |
Alphasunday:Yes, you will. Just make sure you hold money and about the name, my phone is an extension of myself. So that's why I personalize it. |
What about battery capacity? |
Youngzedd:Good talk |
Thanks for the tips |
What makes the it1507 a priceless jewel? |
Depends on the price, I know ITEL phones are low end phones. |
Nice |
Op, what makes you think I'll like an Itel phone from my guy? |
Good for your mum. Itel phones are cool. |
French Village Badagry, ... here I am at the club (soirée- party done every two weeks to relieve stress;at least that's what we're told, I sha feel it's an opportunity for girls to wear clothes and guys to 'rock') in school and seeing my girls have fun while I sit down and be the cautious mother, making sure they don't get into trouble. How did I get here My friend woke me up from sleep at 12:25am to tell me to dress up and stop sleeping like a pregnant cow,,, at 12:25am biko what else am I supposed to do? But I heard suya and drink, I ran downstairs straight but forgot 'Gold', well Gold is the name I give my Itel phone because it's gold in colour; I'm corny I know and I wasn't even creative. I sha went back up because I know it'll be useful to snap some embarrassing pictures and take videos, the back flash is mad.I'm sha here, with nothing to do but take pictures and watch them with the eyes of a hawk. And I think they know. My friend should dance finish, lemme go and sleep biko. |
This is beautiful, tell him not to stop. Hope to see more or please give his Instagram Id or any site where he posts his works. |
If a phone has that feature, especially Itel and gionee; then it's an improvement. |
Only thing about the Windows phone is it's OS interface and it's still troublesome. Just stick to your Itel, at least you understand that one. |
So as a Nigerian girl, is it only an Itel phone that can thrill me? |
What's so special about the phone, looks nice but is that all? |
It's nobody's fault na. Did he think she'll have his time with a phone in her hand? |
Since the inception of mobile phones in Nigeria, we have seen several phone types from different phone manufacturers like Nokia, Samsung, BlackBerry, iPhone etc. I remember when the Nokia 3310 came out with the strongest battery I have seen, this made people form some kind of trust with the brand. Fast forward some years later and you see the BlackBerry with its iconic BB messenger, the iPhone with its camera quality, Samsung with its sleekness, and so on. But then while we all have enjoyed these phones at one time or the other, why do we still hide from the new phone makes like Itel, Infinix, Tecno and others, what makes these ones so bad that we call call them 'Chinco' though they're made in China.Funny is that these phones have good specs at pocket friendly prices, but some people are just plain greedy sometimes as they ask for huge specs and expect the phones to be cheap -better soup na money kill am. Though some of us are still afraid of patronising certain phone brands because their past, for example, I'm still afraid of using a particular brand because when it's first sets of phones came out, my mother got a phone and it wasn't until the phone began malfunctioning a month later that my mother checked the warranty card so she could return it and lo and behold it was one day guaranty, I laughed so hard that day but it wasn't funny, so since that day she(even I) never went near that brand even though now they have one of the best specs for a pocket friendly phone, the deed had been done. But question is why do we still like to patronize the high end phones than the low range phones even when our pockets can't afford it? |
