Trouble in paradise! Seems YBNL Nation Boss Olamide and his label mate Adekunle Gold are about to part ways.
Just recently we noticed that Adekunle Gold has deleted all Olamide’s pictures on his page on Instagram.
Adekunle Gold’s contract with YBNL expired in December 2016, and there seems to be talks of him Renewing but we don’t think he did renewed his contract but only signed Management deal with Olamide’s Led YBNL.
We noticed all YBNL Nation signed acts have posted Olamide ’s new song “ Love No Go Die” artwork on their page since yesterday and still there on their various pages.
Adekunle Gold eventually posted the Artwork on his Instagram page and after a few hours he deleted it off his page.
What could have happened? definitely there’s beef on the way.

Nigerian music icon, Tiwa Savage, has stated that she is delighted to sell the Nigerian and African brand to the global entertainment community, adding that she would not change the brand but work harder to present it better to the world.
Speaking Wednesday on the Morning Show of Arise Television, a sister broadcast station of THISDAY Newspapers, Savage who described herself as a modern-day Fela girl, argued that the late African beat icon's girls were misunderstood.
She stated that even when she sent her works to the United Kingdom (UK) and the rhythm could not be understood, she refused to change her style, adding that Nigerians and Africans were indeed learning to appreciate their own.
She said:
"If you don't try, you won't succeed. It is not time for me to relax and say that I am at the same level with Rihanna. I need to do my thing. I need the support of Nigerians and the whole continent.
When I go to the UK to perform, they appreciate us more than American artistes. We are learning to appreciate our own. It is so cool to be a Nigerian and African. The 'pidgin' english (an English-based pidgin and creole language spoken as a lingua franca across Nigeria) is there but we are trying to present it better to the world."
According to her, before she moved back to Nigeria in 2009, the music in Nigerian clubs was 70 percent American and only 30 percent Africans.
"But when I came back, it changed with the presence of D'banj, Tuface, Don Jazzy and the rest of Nigerian artistes. We did not care whether the rest of the world was listening or not," she added.
"I am delighted to sell the Nigerian brand; I don't need to change some of the songs. When I sent the rhythm to the UK and they did not understand, I don't need to change anything," she said.
The mother of one said her music was like Jollof rice.
"I am in love with Jollof rice. When I prepare it, I can dish it out anyhow and eat. But when you have a guest, you dish it out in a very special way. That is what we do in music," Savage explained.
On her plans for next year, the music icon pledged to work harder for Africans and the rest of the world, adding that she would increase her last year's efforts by 100 per cent to encourage African women.
She said she wanted to encourage African women to understand that getting married or having kids should not put an end to their career.
According to her:
"When you get married or have kids- it doesn't mean that your career has ended. Your career has just started. I worked under Don Jazzy who is extremely talented. If you look at his catalog, no two songs are the same. I cannot take all the credit. When I was pregnant, he was very understanding and very helpful. These guys were very understanding about women issues."
Speaking on Fela's girls, she argued that they were misunderstood, adding that people acknowledged the late Afro Beats' king as a godfather and forgot the women that added glamour to his music.
According to her, what Fela's girls did on stage was mere entertainment, which did not mean that they were loose off stage.
"These girls were misunderstood. What they did on stage was just entertainment. What they do on stage doesn't mean that they are loose off stage. People say Fela is godfather but people forget the women that added glamour to Fela's show," she said.
Savage explained further:
"When I performed initially in Nigeria, they screamed that it was too much; that it was too sexy. We are still fighting the same battle the Fela girls fought. There is no way a movie and entertainment will not have sexual scenes. The only thing we can do as Africans is to provide guidelines. You cannot stop an artiste from being sexual in entertainment."

So the premise of Big Brother is provide an avenue to attain overnight fame and celebrity. There’s nothing wrong with that.

The allure of N25m and a brand new automobile is obviously enough for the housemates to subject themselves to 78 days of being locked in a virtual cage, providing entertainment for millions of viewers.
At its core, Big Brother itself is an unintelligent form of entertainment that requires no form of intellectual exertion.
Unlike, say The Amazing Race or our own Ultimate Search, other reality television shows of its kind, all it wants from its contestants is to be docile and say ‘Yes Big Brother’ each time the disembodied voice floats from within the walls; and as a bonus, nudity – and sex – is very welcome.

Now, one is not a prude. But the needless nudity of Big Brother is crass, unwholesome and distracting.
If one wants to partake in the benefits and satisfaction that can be gotten from porn, there are a few websites that can help fulfill one’s desires. Plus such pornographic material would be well shot and directed with a capable cast.
Not be assailed by the cheap and amateur imitation that is the current iteration of Big Brother Nigeria. Even without its infamous Shower Hour, the show reeks of a seedy stripper joint with unwilling strippers and Hot patrons.

But when such shenanigans become the entire thrust of the programme, it begs the question of what really the show is all about.

The Nigerian government may have succeeded in redefining the word ‘healthy’.
According to Oxford Dictionary, ‘healthy’ means: ‘In a good physical or mental condition; in good health.’
But the Nigerian government is either confused about its meaning or has decided to redefine it.
The Presidency has used the word ‘HEALTHY’ to describe the present state of President Muhammadu Buhari , who left Nigeria on Thursday, January 19, 2017 for a 10-day MEDICAL vacation in London.
Nothing wrong with healthy people going on medical vacation. But why extend such vacation till doctors certify you healthy? *Scratches head*
Also, acting president Yemi Osinbajo , Senate president Bukola Saraki , Speaker Yakubu Dogara and presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina have all said the president is ‘healthy’.
Osinbajo spoke with him on phone; Saraki and Dogara visited the president at Abuja House in London, while Adesina has been getting comments from the ‘people around him’.
Information Minister, Lai Mohammed said Buhari wasn’t even sick. ‘He’s hale and hearty,’ he lied … said.
Do they know the meaning of these words or are they deliberately messing with our heads?
Buhari was expected back at work on February 6 but requested for a leave extension to pay more attention to his HEALTH as advised by doctors.
Seriously?
So Osinbajo, Saraki, Dogara, Adesina and Mohammed informed 170 million people their president is fit as fiddle, yet this president is ‘attending to his health’?

As long as single words can be song titles, there will always be a Tekno hit. ‘Pana’, ‘Holiday’, ‘Dance’, ‘Wash’, ‘Duro’, ‘Anything’, Where’, and now ‘Diana’.
If the paragraph above looks familiar, it is because you have read it before in slightly different form. Those were the words I used in a review of ‘Pana’, Tekno’s previous single. Like Tekno, I am not against using and reusing a formula. But I admit that he’s better at it.
But what exactly is the Tekno Formula? Easy. Mix these: single-word title, funny/silly love lines, goofy dance, propulsive drum-based beat, simple singalong chorus, killer hook—all wrapped in a mild Igbo accent. Better not try at home. It could be explosive.
The new song ‘Diana’ once again has the self-proclaimed Alhaji Tekno as male protagonist and a female lead, this time named Diana. As always, the girl has nothing but a name; Tekno hardly gives his women anything but a name. Unlike some of his colleagues he names his women: Nneka, Chioma, Folake, Aisha etc. Unlike them he doesn’t furnish his women with too much by way of physical dimensions.
His method raises a question about Nigerian pop. What is better? The reduction of a woman to her parts— backside and breasts, mostly —or her total absence except for generic, interchangeable names?

Tricky one perhaps, but we can agree that both are means of objectification. Nigerian music is a long way from featuring women who had both name and a presence somewhat outside of lust in songs (and videos) like ‘Lade’ or ‘I No Dey Shame’ by Djinee, or dedicated to strong female characters like the unnamed woman in Fela ’s ‘Lady’.
These thoughts don’t bother artistes like Tekno. It is not his business; he just wants you to have a good time. And if his risible lyrics don’t get you, his beats certainly will. Tekno is a stand-up comedian with melodic gift and great production. Let’s call him a sing-up comedian.
In his songs, Tekno hardly gives his women anything but a name
His humour is a great gift, but it may also prove to be a restricting gift. How so? Well because some of the best humour is local and structured for particular cultures, and thus may not translate to other cultures readily. So that if Tekno is a two-trick pony, in terms of humour and melody, persons outside of West Africa may receive only half his tricks. Clearly, this is the fate of any pop artist who finds himself outside of his own culture, but it seems to me that humour, which is a great asset, can prove a handicap outside of its own milieu.
A love song is a love song anywhere—a lot of us were mouthing lyrics to Celine Dion and Boys II Men long before we knew what they were about. A dance song is a dance song everywhere and we were all attempting to dance and sing lyrics to the songs of Awilo Longomba . A funny song is not a funny song everywhere. With Tekno’s ‘Diana’, you need some linguistic familiarity to be able to appreciate these lines:
‘Make dem fire catapult o
Makey dem takey me court o…
I must to run your race oo, eh
Dance to your drum and bass oo, eh
My love is up to date o’
It would be unnecessary to have this discussion about the global potential of Tekno’s music, but this is 2016 — a year in which there’s quite the push for Nigerian pop music to acquire some sort of global mainstream presence. Tekno’s appeal is wedged to Nigeria, and unless something changes, he’s likely not going to be at the front of the breakthrough.
Already Davido and Wizkid have been chosen as the Nigerian representatives for this push into the US market, which because of its dominance stands as the global pop marketplace.

Davido has always courted the US; he was born there in any case. Wizkid is perhaps the true homegrown Nigerian avatar, and because his own appeal is essentially his chameleonic gift of spinning melodies, he doesn’t have Tekno’s baggage. With Wizkid, what Nigerians appreciate is exactly what people from elsewhere have and will come to appreciate. With Tekno, the foreign audience will receive half of the Great Tekno Package.

Tekno, however, has production protection from both his team and from his time as producer. So he might always be able to make the listener dance. He does pull it off on ‘Diana’, which is produced by two of the producers with whom he has pop chemistry: Selebobo and Krizbeats . The latter worked on the all-conquering ‘Pana’. ‘Diana’ isn’t quite as grand as that tune, but this, too, will become a tune on the lips of most pop lovers.
Songs for girls and about girls remain potent. And this one recalls another song about girls: 2006’s ‘Tattoo Girls’ by Faze . Like that song, ‘Diana’ mentions girls of several nationalities at the end. Tanzanian, Ghanaian, Ugandan, South African, Cameroonian, Kenyan, European and so on. But Tekno is more after their country/continent’s market than the women. He wants to be able to say these things while performing in those foreign places.
It may be some consolation that so far Tekno doesn’t exactly need the foreign market, not now at least. He has toured Europe. He has hits across Africa, and has won a MAMA award. He has his whole country dancing. The man may know his formula won’t work forever and maybe not as widely as he’d like — but Alhaji Tekno can worry about all of that later. He still has time.

A breakup is not the end of the end of the world, no matter how grim it initially. For some rare, lucky people, they fall in love with only one person ever.
By some unlikely conspiracy of nature, they stay through the years with that one person and their relationship withstands all the tests of time, till death does them part.For many, however, it is most likely that before they finally find ‘the one,’ they would have been through a number of relationships that were not really what they thought they were getting into.
What results from these instances are heartbreak, sadness, and other negative emotions that many people would rather not go through.
However, experience, they say, is the best teacher, and people get to learn not only from their pleasant memories, but also from the unpleasant ones.

1. Never let people decide what is good for you and what is not.

No one deserves such sadness, really.
The truth, though, is that when such thing occurs, one might be moved into thinking that that is the end of the world, but it is not.
The heart mends after a while. It might feel so unbearable at first, but with the right moves, you’ll be fine in the end.
3. You will learn that it is better to let go than to keep forcing an affair with someone who is clearly not right for you.
Many get to learn this the hard way
4. You will learn that most people don’t deserve a second chance. There was a reason it didn’t work the first time, right?
5. You can’t change someone’s mind if they don’t want a relationship.
The main thing is for you to learn from these mistakes as you let yourself feel the warmth of love once again.
Once bitten twice shy. You should not be falling into the same mistake twice, right?

MY ARGUMENT WHY MMM IS A SCAM AND WILL SOON CRASH

Prior to this post, I have had chat with many Nigerians who are into this asking them questions relating to this MMM of a thing. The answers are just random; the answers are just my brother make your cool cash and leave the scheme. At least, it fetches you money without investment or stress.

The fact still remains that, many Nigerians know nothing about this scam scheme; what they know or understand is just that put your money and get 30% of interest in addition to your initial deposit. As a student in a field that relates to business, I believe you must carry out feasibility study on any business or investment before pooling your resources into such business or investment. With your feasibility study, many questions will be answered like;

To be able to make it big and move into the mainstream music you need to possess at least one or two of these qualities which are; Talent, money, swag, good voice, song writing skill, large fanbaze and God’s favour.
These seven qualities are my holy grail for any artiste that wants to be successful and are also what can make or mar you as an artiste. So this leads me to asking this very controversial question which might not go down well with a lot of people who are his fans. The question goes, “Is Davido an average artiste who wouldn’t have made it big if it weren’t for the money he had to throw around in order to solidify his name on our hearts and minds?”

Let’s take a look at his career from inception when he released his debut single “Back When” featuring Naeto C. So many people didn’t like the song at first when it was released but because he was able to force it on us by paying a huge sum of money to TV stations and radio stations to air it almost every minute, the song got stuck in our head and before we knew what was happening we all unconsciously began to sing the song and then people began to fall in love with it. That is the power of one of the 7 qualities I listed at the beginning of my article, which is the power of MONEY.
Let’s look at it in a different angle. The Academic Staff Union of Universities has directed its members nationwide to commence a one-month additional warning effect strike  to commence from Wednesday, November 23 to protest the non-implementation of its 2009 agreement with the Federal Government.

According to ASUU, the strike action will be “total and comprehensive”, adding that while it lasted, there would be no teaching, examinations and attendance of meetings in any of its branches.

The union said it would be going on strike over part payment of salaries, non-payment of subventions and the inability of the Federal Government to provide funds for the revitalisation of public varsities, among other reasons.

The union also accused government of allegedly turning the establishment of universities into constituency projects to score a political point.

The National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, while unfolding the plans for the protest, at a press conference after its emergency National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, on Monday, said several efforts to get the government to respect the terms of their agreement had been unsuccessful.

Ogunyemi said, “Our members across the nation are worried that six months after the meeting with the minister of education and a series of letters to amplify the need to respect the spirit and letters of the 2009 agreement and the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding, there has been no tangible results of the issues raised.

“This failure puts ASUU leadership in a severe difficulty responding to enquiries from members of the union about the state of affairs in our engagement with the Federal Government. Following a nationwide consultation with our members, the NEC of ASUU rose from its meeting on Sunday, November 20 with a resolution to ;embark on a one- week warning strike starting from Wednesday November 23 2016.

“The nationwide strike action is total and comprehensive. While it lasts, there shall be no teaching, no examination and no attendance of statutory meeting of any kind in any of our branches.”

He also said the licensing of more universities by the National Universities Commission will not solve the challenge of quality education.

It’s not news that Nigerian pop star, Wizkid is best buddy with American singer, Chris Brown.
They’ve shared the same stage several times and even gone on tour together.
Wizkid, who is currently in South Africa where he’s billed to perform tonight at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards, was spotted rocking the Black Pyramid design.
For those who don’t know, Black Pyramid is the clothing line collection launched by Chris Brown in 2012.
The apparel collection is a collaboration between Chris Brown and Pink+Dolphin founders Neima Khaila and Cena Barhaghi.
Breezy obviously loves Wizkid rocking the outfit in South Africa and he didn’t hesitate the photo on his official instagram page.
