Reps reject move to probe civil service recruitment

Most members of the House of Representatives yesterday rejected a motion seeking to investigate the 2016/2017 Federal Civil Service recruitment exercise.
A motion by Henry Nwawuba (PDP, Imo) alleged that there were massive anomalies in the recruitment exercise.



The lawmaker argued that many of the applicants had their dreams of working for the Federal Government dashed by failure of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to inform them of further processes regarding the exercise.
He said the exercise was alleged to have lacked transparency and was in breach of the federal character principles.
He therefore prayed that the committees on public service matters and federal character be mandated to determine whether the recruitment exercise was done properly.
However, when Speaker Yakubu Dogara put the motion to voice vote, majority of the lawmakers rejected it. Surprised by the voting pattern, Dogara called for another vote, in which the result was the same.

For some time now those commissioner's don't report to their offices, they are presently working on interview results for those civil servants to be promoted. Nothing is happening for now, keep your minds at rest and be focused on what your doing presently.

write a letter of resignation to your npower state office. Your state coordinator (focal person) will sign and stamp the letter and then the state office will scan and email the letter to the head office in abuja and upon receiving the letter they will acknowledge. that's all

the total package and you divide it by 12 months.

Unending drama at FCSC, the truth of d matter is that some few people have collected their appointment letters,because reliably I was told that it will continue like this , till they finish giving out all d appointment letters.D best thing to do at this moment is to always keep your phone charge. So be patience and all d best.

I was at fcsc yesterday, I saw my apl signed July but wasn't given yet.I was told will be given next week monday .

Guys i am just curious, does anyone knows how much is the salary package of FCSC?

Level 8, all Ministries is 48,000-50,000 though some ministries give allowances but the basic salary is the same.

Every state has its own list, if you are on that list you will be called to come and collect your APL probably next week or upper week. If only 3 of you were shortlisted in a particular ministry, only one person will be called just like Erenje said earlier before with the likes of ministry of transport, power n co.

FCSC have started sending messages to all successful applicant,Since yesterday and this will continues up to June 29,2017.So for those who are yet to received they should pls be patient they will received it soon. The details and pictures of some of the commissioners has been removed from the website I.e the commissioner representing ADAMAWA,GOMBE and TARABA, the commissioner representing BAUCHI,BORNO and YOBE, the commissioner representing JIGAWA and KANO, the commissioner representing KADUNA and KATSINA, the commissioner representing KEBBI,SOKOTO and ZAMFARA and the commissioner representing LAGOS and OGUN. I heard that there tenure has expired too. They chairman and all this commissioners were appointed at the same time

The picture and the biography of the chairman Miss Deaconess Ayo has been removed from the website. This means she's no longer the chairman and I also heard that one of the commissioners from the south west is in charge now. Source:vacancy.fedcivilservice.gov.ng

The commissioners are meeting tomorrow morning by 11:00 AM.All you need do is to expect update on the site. APLs are ready and arranged for distribution. Commissioners decision tomorrow will determine when the site will come up with the update and it may be parallel to the meeting. Glue to your internet-enabled gadgets brothers/sisters.

I don't know the total take home pay bt the basic salary level 8 is #50k-#60k. Some ministries give allowances while some don't

yes there are other allowances but the basic salary is between #50,000 - #60,000
