Everyman must strive to have a clean conscience towards God. Beware of young women that strategically sponsored into your life by the devil to derail you. Flee from such. However you must first repent from this that you gave done. Break the relationship and separate yourself from her....God bless you. |
Don’t Miss God’s Will in Your Marriage by Zac Poonen God alone can lead you to the person best suited to be your life-partner. In fact He is eager to do so if you will listen to Him. The Bible teaches that God has a plan for the lives of each of His children (Eph. 2:10). If that is true, then you cannot but believe that God has already planned whether you should be married or not. If He has planned marriage, then He must undoubtedly have planned the person you are to marry too. But God does not force anyone to obey Him. So it is easily possible for a person either to reject or neglect God's plan, and enter instead into a marriage outside the will of God. Next to the salvation of your soul, the most important decision that you have to make in life is that of choosing your life-partner. You cannot afford to make a mistake here - for this is one decision in life which once made can never be reversed. If you have chosen the wrong vocation, you may yet be able to correct your error; similarly you may correct many other decisions in life. But if you have married outside the will of God, you can never correct your error; you can only try and make the best of a wrong choice. It is a tragedy to miss God's will in marriage. Many who married in haste without awaiting God's time or seeking His will are now repenting at leisure! Surely their example is a warning to young people to tread cautiously in this realm. It is far better to remain single than to be married outside of God's will. Even though God may in mercy bless those who miss His perfect will in marriage and who later repent, yet true happiness and blessedness can result only from being in the center of God's perfect will. For the glory of God and for our greatest good, it is essential that we find the person God has chosen for us and that we be married to him/her. When God wanted to provide Adam with a partner, He did not make ten women and ask Adam to choose the one he liked best. God made only one and gave her to Adam. Adam had no choice in the matter. The same God has planned only one person for each of His obedient children. There may be difficulties in understanding all the implications of such teaching - even as there are difficulties in understanding the doctrine of the total sovereignty of God when placed alongside the doctrine of man's free will - but it is nevertheless the teaching of Scripture. If we accept His plan, we shall find that the person God has chosen is indeed the best - prepared by Him in every way to be our complement, even as Eve was for Adam. Abraham's servant recognized this fact when looking for a bride for Isaac. He did not therefore pray, "Lord, lead me to some good girls here from among whom I can select a suitable match for Isaac". Instead, he prayed, "Lord, lead me to the girl whom you have already selected and appointed to be Isaac's wife" (Gen.24: 14,44). When God answered his prayer, he could truly say, "The Lord led me" (Gen. 24:27). That was not just a pious phrase glibly used as some use it these days. It was one hundred per cent true. Would that in all Christian marriages there were that same certainty of having been led together by the Lord - and by the Lord alone. God may lead you to the person He has chosen for you, either directly or indirectly, through your parents and friends. In the Bible, we find only one clear instance of God's guidance in marriage - the case of Isaac and Rebekah, that we have just referred to. That marriage was not arranged simply by the parents - for Abraham did not even see Rebekah, and his servant also knew nothing about her. Neither was it arranged by the boy and girl themselves - for Isaac and Rebekah had never met each other before. It was arranged by God. This teaches us that the important thing is not the method God uses to bring two of His children together, but this, that it is He Who has led them to each other. Whether we are led to a person through our parents, or through our friends, or by ourselves, the important thing is to be sure that the person is indeed the one God has chosen for us. |

Our Salvation is a Work of God by Zac Poonen Salvation as described in the New Testament has three tenses - past, present and future. If we are born again, we have already been saved from the PENALTY of sin. We are now to be saved from the POWER of sin. And one day, when our Lord returns in glory, we will be saved from the very PRESENCE of sin. And each one of these aspects of salvation is the work of God. God's word tells us very clearly: "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast" (Eph.2:8,9). Jonah was delivered from the fish's belly only when he finally acknowledged that "salvation can come only from the Lord" (Jonah 2:9). The next verse states, "THEN the Lord commanded the fish to vomit Jonah out on dry land". God waited until Jonah acknowledged that he could not save himself. And He waits on high until we too acknowledge that we cannot save ourselves from any sin or any difficult situation. Then He commands deliverance for us as He did for Jonah. When we find ourselves in a "tight" situation, like Jonah was in, instead of complaining and murmuring, if we would only learn to give thanks to the Lord and to confess that salvation comes from the Lord alone, we will find deliverance coming sooner. Salvation is not a self-improvement program. That can only change us on the outside. The work of God changes us on the inside. God works in such a way that man can never glory in anything. If we are to experience a thorough salvation from sin, then we must be saved from glorying in anything that the Lord has done for us - including the victory He has given us over sin. The smaller we are (in our own eyes), the easier it is for us to get "an abundant entrance into God's kingdom" (through the needle's eye) (2 Pet.1:11). And one proof that we are really small in our own eyes will be that we never despise another human being - whatever his religion or his denomination, or his lack of light (on the truths that we have understood) may be. Even when we look at the worst of human beings, we will say to ourselves: "There go I but for the grace of God". Jesus always referred to Himself as "the son of man" - or in other words "an ordinary man". This is what we must recognise ourselves to be too, at all times. If we have been saved from the penalty of sin, it is God's mercy alone that gave us that salvation. If we are now being saved from the power of sin, that too is the result of God's mercy and grace given to us freely. So what do we have to glory in? Nothing. Consider an illustration: If others were to admire a beautiful painting that you had painted, you could be tempted to be proud of your accomplishment. But when they admire what someone else has painted, how could you even be tempted to be proud? We could use this illustration to the work of salvation that God accomplishes in our lives. If it is we who have improved ourselves or sanctified ourselves, then we could be proud of it. But if it is God Who has done this work in us, then how can we ever be proud of it? What is the quality of our "sanctification"? Is it merely a work of moral improvement? If so, we have experienced nothing Divine or supernatural in our lives, but only done what any man with a little determination can do. But if it is a genuine work of God that has taken place in our lives, then we have been given eternal life (God's nature) – and that is a free gift from God (Rom.6:23). (God's nature cannot be manufactured by us in any case). And if what we have become is the result of God's free gift, then all boasting is ruled out. So if you are proud of your victory over sin, then you must have manufactured it yourself!! In that case, your victory is useless and certainly not the genuine thing. And the sooner you throw it away, the better. Seek instead to partake of the Divine nature. Paul said that he did not want to be found having a righteousness that was of his own making, but only with the righteousness that came from God (produced by God) through faith in Christ (Phil.3:9). In Romans, we see the development of the gospel message chapter by chapter. Here is a brief outline of the first few chapters: • Chapters 1 to 3 - The guilt of man made plain. • Chapter 4 - Justification (being declared righteous by God) by faith. • Chapter 5 - We have freedom of access to God now through Christ's blood. • Chapter 6 - Our old man was crucified with Christ, so that we need not sin any more. • Chapter 7 - We are free from the Law and from a legalistic attitude towards the Christian life. • Chapter 8 - We can now live in the Spirit and put our lusts to death daily. The result of such a salvation is that "we are more than conquerors in Christ" (Rom.8:37). The danger at the end of all this however, is that we can imagine that this work of salvation is OUR OWN accomplishment. And so we have three wonderful chapters that follow Romans 8, that explain that salvation is a work of God, from start to finish. Although these chapters (Romans 9 to 11) refer to God's dealings with Israel under the old covenant primarily, the Holy Spirit seeks to apply these truths to our lives today. |

WHEN THE GOD OF MAN IS VEILED AND THE MAN OF GOD IS UNVEILED--- I just feel that this should be addressed. I am bothered about the caption that I see on posters nowadays being used to create awareness of crusade. Caption like 'Pastor so and so Storms a place'. But I wonder why a man can storm a place. If we are to remain humble and live before the very face of God, these are the things we shld detest with all passion. Anything that obscures the Lord but project a man. If a man is projected as the one that can storm a place so please what will the Holy Ghost do, relegated to the background?. May be the Men of God that they use this caption for are not even aware of it. Maybe it's just the members that project them like this and keep the Holy Ghost veiled. Even though God uses men to bring His purpose to bare in the lives of men, let's also know that it's a ministry that we have received by Mercy. In as much as each of us believer may have different men of God that we love with passion, we must be very careful about how we present them. Only Christ-centred revival must be promoted if the church must fully occupy her place in this end time.....PLS LET'S PROMOTE GOD-CENTRED REVIVAL AND NOT A MAN-CENTRED ONE. |
Four Important Distinctions We Need to Know Zac Poonen 1. Temptation and Sin: There is a difference between being tempted and sinning. The Bible says, "Each one is tempted when he is enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin…" (Jas.1:14, 15). Sin is not born in our heart until the lust in our flesh has been allowed to conceive. When a lust flashes a suggestion into our mind, we are tempted. If our mind agrees with that temptation, then a conception takes place and sin is born. To be tempted doesn't make us evil. Even Jesus Himself was tempted. But He never sinned even once in any way, and so He was totally pure. The Scripture says that Jesus was "made like His brethren in all things" and "tempted in ALL THINGS as we are" (Heb. 2:17; 4:15). He was tempted exactly like us, yet He never sinned. That may not sound very wonderful to some of us, because we may feel that Jesus, being God, could naturally overcome sin easily. But remember, He had "emptied Himself" of the prerogatives of equality with God when He came to earth (Phil. 2:6,7). Although He was God, yet while He lived on earth as a man, He had access only to the same power of the Holy Spirit that He offers us today. That's why we are told to run the race "fixing our eyes on Jesus". In our "striving against sin" today, we can look at His example and be encouraged (Heb. 12:2-4). That's because He overcame each temptation that we face, as a Man too. Thus He has become a Forerunner and an Example for us to follow (Heb. 6:20). This is "the secret of godliness......- Christ came in the flesh ....... and was declared righteous in the spirit…" (1 Tim. 3:16). Although He had our flesh, He kept His spirit pure throughout His life. This is what gives us hope that we too can overcome as He overcame. For He has "inaugurated a new and living way through the flesh for us”, in which we can follow Him (Heb. 10:20). 2. The Old Man and The New Man: The old man has been crucified, put off and buried. There is a new man now within us, who says, "Behold I have come to do Thy will, O God" (Heb. 10:7). It's possible for a disciple of Jesus to sin. But there is a difference between a disciple sinning and an unbeliever sinning, just as there is a difference between a cat falling into dirty water and a pig choosing to jump into the dirty water! The cat hates the dirty water, but may fall into it accidentally. The pig, however, loves it. It's all a question of nature. The disciple of Jesus has a new nature that loves purity and hates sin. The old man wants to sin. The new man never wants to sin. But if the new man is not strong enough, he may not be able to keep the door of his heart shut against the lusts of the flesh. That's not because he wants those lusts. No. But because he is not strong enough to resist them. This may be, because he has not fed himself sufficiently on the Word of God, or because he has not strengthened himself through prayer. So, there's a difference between committing sin and falling into sin. It's important to know this difference; for we can then avoid a lot of unnecessary feelings of condemnation in our heart. The Bible says that "the one who practises sin (that is, one who keeps on committing sin deliberately) is of the devil…" (1 Jn. 3: . On the other hand, he writes to believers saying, "If anyone sins (that is, if one falls into sin accidentally), we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the propitiation for our sins…" (1 Jn. 2:1, 2).3. Conscious and Unconscious Sin: There is also a difference between falling into sin and having sin. To have sin is to have unconscious sin in our personality - sin that we ourselves are unaware of, even though others who are more mature than us may be able to notice it in us. But such unconscious sin need never make us feel guilty. For God's Word says, "sin is not imputed when there is no law" (Rom. 5:13). (This also means that God does not impute sin to us when there is no awareness of sin in our conscious mind). We shall have unconscious sin in us, until our dying day - to a lesser and lesser degree, however, if we walk in the light. The Bible says, "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves…" (1 Jn. 1: . One who says that he has no sin is actually claiming that he has already become perfect like Christ. But God's Word says that we shall "be like Him" only when He returns - not before that (1 Jn. 3:2). Those who claim to be totally sanctified and perfect already are, therefore, only deceiving themselves. Unconscious sin, however, needs to be cleansed; and "the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all (unconscious) sin" too, as long as we walk in the light of God (1 Jn. 1:7). So we can stand boldly now, in the presence of an infinitely Holy God, without any fear. Such is the power of the blood of Christ to justify us. Hallelujah!4. Mercy and Grace: We are told to come boldly "to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Heb. 4:16). Mercy and grace are not the same. Mercy refers to the forgiveness of our sins. That relates to our past. But we also need grace - for our time of need, in the future. Our time of need is when we are tempted, when we are about to fall - just like Peter, when he was about to sink in the Sea of Galilee (Matt. 14:30). That's when we should cry out for grace; and just as Jesus stretched out His hand immediately to hold Peter, we'll find that we get grace too so that we stand and don't fall. There are wonderful promises in God's Word that assure us that God will keep us from falling. Just look at some of these: First of all, God promises that He will never allow us to be tempted by any temptation that is too strong for us to overcome: "…God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Cor. 10:13). God's Word also says: "He is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless" (Jude 24). With these and many other wonderful promises given us in God's Word, there is no need for us to sin any more. Our life can henceforth be lived to do the will of God alone (as it says in 1 Peter 4:2). ------------------------------ For more information write to: wftw@cfcindia.com |
Pls spare time to read this. We are in a generation that people no longer have strong conviction I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ the word of God. There are a lot of misunderstanding when it comes †̥ the manifestation of the Holy spirit. It baffles me that only few genuine men of God are speaking about all these counterfeits. While it is possible that somebody 'falls under the anointing', I never read it I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ the bible where people become unconscious as a result of the anointing. God does not override a man's will and make him fall uncontrollably rolling on the ground. @ times some ladies fall, and ushers will be the ones helping them †̥ cover their unclothedness, could this be God?.How will God allow U̶̲̥̅̊ to 'fall under the anointing' only for ur skirt †̥ roll up I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ ur unconscious state, and some will say they are falling under d anointing. I am born again christian and baptised in the Holy ghost with d evidence of speaking I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ tongues. There were times I have been on pupit †̥ minister and there were manifestations but I don't celebrate it like many pastors will do. because if truely U̶̲̥̅̊ 'fall under anointing', one primary evidence i̶̲̥̅̊ƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇ that U̶̲̥̅̊ will begin to have a fervent love for God and hatred for sin. But unfortunately, many of those that claim †̥ fall only rise up †̥ continue I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ their sins, so what i̶̲̥̅̊ƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇ the essence of ur falling?. Not Every manifestation or falling is from God. A man of God that I respect so much was preaching one day and I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ the middle of the message where it was becoming serious, somebody stood up and started ' dancing in d spirit',and immediate this man of God knew it was d devil, and he commanded him silently I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ d name of Jesus, and he sat down. It was a distraction that d devil brought I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ d heat of d message but thank God for discernment by the man of God. If it's I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ our days, we wld have agreed that it was a manifestation of the Holy spirit. No where I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ d bible will U̶̲̥̅̊ see Jesus making people †̥ roll or fall as a result of d anointing. On the day of pentecost, when the Holy Ghost came,it was the pple around that thought that d disciples were drunk, but d bible never said they were drunk. They wr still conscious, not rolling on d ground and not confused, if they were,Peter wouldn't have preached that message that won 3 thousand souls. Pls don't be deceived, In this last days we need d spirit of discernment †̥o test all spirits. I will give four guidelines that may help U̶̲̥̅̊ not †̥ deceived by what pastors of nowadays are preaching, so if they say anything, just subject it to this: (1) Did Jesus do it? (2)Did Jesus preach it? (3)Did any of the apostles do it? (4)Did any of the apostles teach I? I think with this,we may be saved from being deceived I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ this last days, God bless you. |
[quote author=mad nigerian]The problem with the church in Nigeria is that we are so concerned about miracles and riches that we have become less concerned about being like Christ. The reason why the young man was not raised from the dead is because those Chosen members wanted a miracle that would make them look powerful....a miracle that would not glorify God, but Chosen church. They wanted to use God to glorify their church , and attract members to said church. God is our King and Father. He is not an instrument to be used in our hands for cheap parlor trick style Christianity. He is God and he is not man. I am a born again Christian. I believe in Miracles. BUT I also believe that miracles are for the purpose of glorifying God.....not glorifying man, or making us feel better about being Christians, or helping our faith. No, miracles are for the achievement of God's purpose.....which is not what we men want. Time for the Nigerian church to stop focusing on 'goodies' God bless u dear |

When the glory has departed, the church has to look for other things as a substitute for the real thing...there are no dead churches anywhere but there are dead pulpits handled by 'dead' men.The quality of life that christians live is dependent on kinds of messages they hear...Things are getting worse in christendom like the days of Eli and God is waiting for the 'Samuels' to grow in order to declare God's counsel to the people.God is looking for men who preach 'Christ and him crucify',whose focus is not for fame, money, human accolades but to see the glory of God in the land of the living..I believe the sickness of d church is not unto death like the case of Lazarus,it may be stinking but God wil respond,He will bring revival to us again... |
wordthots: In recent times this is one question that has really bothered me. Each time I look at the pauline prayers (eph.1:16-21, col.1:9-12, eph.3:14-18), they seem so deep and insightful. |
Better by far |
No one wil regard himself as a man of satan....but it is very good for each of us to develop personal relationship with Jesus, who is our fore runner & highpriest..However,dnt pick any preacher as ur favorite just because he is pullin crowd or because he has a jet or because he dresses well, let it be that he is the one whose life & ministry has affected u most towards becoming like Jesus, and all that God wants u to become in life. |
