I told my girlfriend to be productive with her time, she called me few days later, that after searching for a job she was unable to secure any good one. Asked her how about learning a craft? she said she talked to her dad about it instead, he shouted on her to go and meet her boyfriend to give her money to go and learn a skill. Lol, this got me thinking, Is it the responsibility of the parent or the boyfriend/ girlfriend to acquaint their wards with a means of livelihood? |
Do you know if the increment in fee was because of deplorable state of anambra that period? And the only means of sorting the institutions out, was to increase the fee? Weather they like it or not, I will still vote for OBI. |
What's all this? |

No where in the world is safe again. |
Samakus:Uncle, she's is my girlfriend of two years. And I have never dated anyone in my entire life apart from her. My parent are aware of her, so there is no need of me hiding her from them. Jsyk, my girlfriend understands everything and she also supports me a lot too.. She only came to the village for holiday. |
Slynation:She only came for holidays, not as she stays over here with me. Moreover, this is not the first time of her coming to my place. My parents are aware of her. |
Sorry to bother y'all. So let me brief you all a little bit about myself, I'm the first son of a family of five. Also a 300-level student, all my life I have been depressing and saddened by the kind of family I found myself in. First of all, I must commend my dad for pulling me from secondary level to University. The only thing I know my dad does for me is to pay my school fees and he leaves me with no other choice again. Let me clear y'all a lot about him. Second of all, he does nothing, he's one of the Niger Delta amnesty beneficiaries which occurred some years ago. Ever since then, he depend on all that money to train five children. He's a stay-at-home dad, lol! My dad left me with depression and hunger for me to deal with here in school. Now, what got me annoyed to bring this issue here is, that I came back home for some weeks now to sustain myself because I have been going through a lot over there. The little work that I use to do here in the village, was to get small money for myself and the girl that I brought home. This man has been relying on me all this while to be bringing money for feeding and any household stuff. I have been here for two months now, working from Monday to Sunday and coming back late at night without any single savings on me. I cry every night, laying curses on myself and that angel that made me become a first child. I give this man every money, ranging from the one he will use and smoke, eat, soap, etc. All he does is stay in the house from morning to night. I'm tired! School is depressing me, I have many courses that I am having issues with and no money to fix all these courses, and I have just a year to leave this school. Home is also making me choose suicide as the only option left. Whenever I tell him I don't have money, he blows up and starts threatening me about how he's going to withdraw from assisting me academically. I'm tired!! |
I am in deep pain and solely depressed. I'm tired of crying, still don't know what to do right now, that is why I brought these matters to NL. I school at one of the universities in Nigeria and am currently a level 200 student. During year one, I was over consciously doing well with the first and second semesters without any atom of carryover. Two months ago, we wrote our first semester exams, last week we resumed for the second semester for 200l. The issue now is that results were published 21hours ago, and I just checked mine and discovered that my cgpa has dropped drastically to third class, with two carryovers. I don't know what to do and don't know who to talk to. I've cried and cried, and I'm tired!. I worked very hard last semester going to night class to study, attending every class both on weekends. But it turns out the results didn't favour me.... My question now is, can I still achieve first class with the two years left for me to leave the school? Please I want to hear from those that has been in these place before. I'll be at the comment section. Lala please frontpage. |
arantess:My friend will you stop lying? I am from Rumuekpe community and I've never witness or heard about anything like these before. |
This was not the reason for these #endsars protest. Thugs and criminals have hijacked this protest. |
Brandonx:My funds wasn't enough to clear everything. for instance, I accepted admission. I did general clearance. I did departmental clearance. and also have to pay for school fees. stop acting as if you didn't attend Nigeria university. a place where you spend more than what you bargained. this is no pity game sir, I only brought these issue here because my conscience is blaming me. I've also tried my efforts in a way i could pay back, but it seems the company doesn't want to help. I don't have a means of paying that money right now , I am jobless and broke. |
decatalyst:like I said early on, the only means I can repay the money is by working for the company one month without been paid. but since then, they've refused giving me any chance for that. I'm not justfying myself for what I did. I know I'm not supposed to use it but, my condition then didn't give me a second thought. |
Kriss216:I tried to email them as I don't have there number again. |
Good day Landers, this is not the first time that I am bringing up issue here. in other not to bore you, let me go straight to the point. last year I was working with one of the reputable company here in Nigeria as a security guard. though I have worked with these company for more than two years now, without any problem from any angle. usually, when they want to pay us they pay through our banks. late last year December, I decided to resign from work because, I gained admission to study at a federal university. on first of January I had to travel down home for the Xmas which, I came back a week after to town to resume schooling officially. things where going well accurately not until February (4), I received alert on my phone. when I checked who sent it I discovered it was from my former company that I was working with. I received a total of 17,500... I didn't hesitate to take action immediately, I waited to get a call from these organization but they couldn't call. note that: this period I was going through a tough time to pay for clearance and school fees. We only had a week of Grace or you're being dropped from the University. I decided to make use of this money with the little one I got from my parent to atleast clear myself with the clearance, as I was told that it is more important if you clear yourself early. A week has already passed and I got a call from my company demanding that I should refund them there money, that I was paid someone's salary. I told them wholeheartedly that I've used the money for school activities. Their reply was that I either pay the money by cash or I work for one month for free in other to meet up. I accepted the second option as I do have money to pay but, only work for night shifts as I will be going to school in the morning. They agreed to it but told me that they we call me when they make a chance for me in a place that I will work. after a while we went for ASUU strike, not too long coronavirus lockdown came. all these while, I didn't receive any call from this company, but once at time, I'd get a call from one of there staff threating me. Early this month same staff call again to remind me of the money that I am owing them. I told him that he should look for a chance for me to work since school is till on lockdown, he ignorantly said okay! that he will call me on Monday to direct me to my location. week came and gone, and I didn't receive any call from him. I felt maybe he was still making the chance. now just today I received a call from the person (his money was paid to my account). threatening to arrest and sue me to court if I don't return his money to him. I told him the fault is not from me, that I have already told the company that I was ready to work for one month but still they refused giving any chance. He started saying something's I would not like to mention here, along the line I got angry and told him to take me to court that my uncle who's a lawyer is aware of these. infact since he has vomited more than what he can chew, I wouldn't be rendering the free one month again. I then cut the call off! please elders I want an advice from you people on what to do. |

EConomic financial crime commission, (EFcc). Shared a photo of a young man hawking bottled pure water on their verified Twitter account. Tagging it young and legit. Advising Nigeria vote to go into legit business instead, of looking for a way for quick money. Nigerians has so far reacted to the post angrily, on how EFCC is promoting poverty and suffering.
