I went to market today and realized that many people aren't bothered about this covid 19, many buyers and sellers without face mask.
No form of social distancing maintained.
This same set of people will start screaming if another lockdown is enforced. They will or have ended up jeopardizing govt efforts for the past 6 weeks. All the market Men and women are wearing mask. You just said "stay at home" Stay at home because herders will attack you. Stay at home because police will be on rampage on Monday. Stay at home on Monday because a new strain of virus might be released. Stay at home because thieves will attack on Monday These are warnings. But just saying "stay at home", what does that even mean It is like saying to Nigerians, "go to bed" Or "enter your kitchen" Stay at home is an incomplete warning and you may have failed at warning the very people you are trying to protect. Whatever madam. |

With the security breach of our security allowing the influx of almajiri to the south , I think we should just accept our fate, 10,000 tests in 1 month is a joke No lockdown has not worked. For one month during the lockdown, cases rose. Lockdown is not the best approach. |

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Youth Task Force on COVID-19 has again advised President Muhammadu Buhari to lockdown Nigeria due to rising cases on coronavirus.
Itsey Sagay, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), in his suggestion, said Nigeria should be locked for two months.
Officials of the Buhari administration have also decried the level of compliance by citizens since the lockdown ease.
On Thursday, the Progressive Students Movement (PSM) joined calls to the federal government to impose a fresh ‘stay at home’ order.
PSM President, Bestman Okereafor, spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Okereafor expressed concern about facilities, equipment and health workers preparedness in states.
“The Federal Government, as a matter of urgency, should declare a state of emergency in states with the high level of confirmed COVID-19 cases basically to reduce the spread of the pandemic.
“The state of emergency should come on these states through strict enforcement of lockdown for at least two weeks.
“This move had become imperative following the increase in inter-state movement especially at night hours notwithstanding the present night curfew imposed by the Federal Government meant to ensure containment of the pandemic,’’ he said.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country has recorded confirmed cases to 3,145; death toll has passed 100. Tori4Town During lockdown, the figures still rose. Lockdown is not the way to go. More people may loose jobs. People are already aware that they can contract the virus and die and, they prefer that to being caged like animals. The lockdown feels worse than dying. Allow people to make their own choice. Lockdown is evil Stop it in the name of Jesus! |
