SportsOdion Ighalo And His Assertions On Nigerian Referees/league by boyskola(op): 6:46am On Jun 25, 2023
ODION IGHALO AND HIS ASSERTION ON NIGERIAN REFEREES/LEAGUE

It has come to the open the interview granted few days ago, by the Nigerian international ODION IGHALO who recently plied his trade at al-hilal F.C

Asking to come back and play in the Nigeria Premier league is a great idea of yours and one that has been done by players of legendary status and which is a great booster for our burgeoning league. Great improvement has been seen on the part of the league management and we sure are having players with great talents express themselves.

The TV coverage is improving and we have not heard noise of salary being owed as the noise has decreased in the last 3 seasons. The emergence of teams like REMO STARS,BENDEL INSURANCE, SPORTING LAGOS, DOMA UNITED, VANDREZZER and quite a host of others and also the status of; ENYIMBA, RIVERS UNITED, SHOOTING STARS, KANO PILLARS and the others has made the Nigerian premier league a choice hub for investors, who are pumping money into making the Nigerian premier league a juggernaut amongst football leagues in the world.

The excitement for the fans, their maturity and dedication to watch their darling teams without rancour should also be applauded. prize money being won are a testament to the growth being experienced in the Nigerian premier league and it is something football enthusiast's In the country are proud of.

I personally feel it is a slap on the faces of the NIGERIAN FOOTBALL REFEREES ASSOCIATION for you as a proffesional footballer who has played in the best leagues in the world to say "If there are good referees". Are you saying there are no good Referees In Nigeria? Are you saying the referees in Nigeria are not brilliant or good with what they are trained for? You are a product of the Nigerian grassroots leagues, you grew up here and the better part of your youthful days were spent here before you were opportuned to play outsides the shores of Nigeria; are you just knowing of the incompetence of the NIGERIAN FOOTBALL REFEREES over a decade that you have played under any of them, or your status is the reason you feel there are no good Referees here?

People like you are meant to be ambassadors of NIGERIAN FOOTBALL, and the Referee association is one of the enablers of the league and one who works hand in hand with the league management to make it a success story. Your ego and "Big manly" attitude should not put down the efforts of Men and Women of the whistle, who irrespective of what comes, gives their best to uphold the laws of the game.

Have you as a footballer for once gone through the laws of the game and it's tenets? Have you taken your time to look at a decision of a referee, try to look at what the law says and compare to contrast, and see why the Referees makes a decision he made?

I think you are just trying to prove what you are not sir! You have played the game to the highest level and we respect your efforts for the National team. Let it remain like that as you give the referees their due diligence. You do not in anyway know better than the investors who are pumping money into the league, if you can not support Nigeria football with your platforms, then don't put us on the bad side of investors who are willing to make the league better.

At the moment, Nigeria has nothing less than 23 FIFA referees which is not a feat achieved by child's play. Referees are humans and it is difficult making a decision guided by 17 laws of the game in a split second ; you have had more seconds to make a decision and you have lost open goals and never had the referee body come forward to say you are not a good striker.

The decision for you to come play in the NIGERIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE is one, the Nigerian football fan will greatly want to experience, but not in anyway will it make the football referees give you special recognition or protect you the way they shouldn't because you are the almighty ODION IGHALO.

We have at the moment football players who have had better career than yours, they have won everything there is to win and playing in their local leagues and you have not ever heard them complain about the referees of their country, I just don't know how different your own is because you played a paltry 12 matches at Manchester United and here we were celebrating you for a dream come true, while all you do is look down on Nigeria referees and it’s league body

Young players who also played in Europe and other parts of the world are in the country at the moment; they are making efforts the little way they can, giving back to the society and walking on foot to their local teams and base and only love has been shown to them.

Obafemi Martins still plays football and comes around to Lagos as often and noise has not been heard about his security or of the others. How will yours be different when you are not Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo?
BUKAYO SAKA, VICTOR OSIMHEN, TAIWO AWONIYI and a lot of their set are in the country and they are safe.

AHMED MUSA (Mon) is by far a better National team hero than you are; he came back to the country and played with Kano pillars, and never spoke ill of the referees body. RASHIDI YEKINI, came back to play for Gateway United and there was no issue. Why will yours be different?

This legends who have better records with the National team came back to play and have never complained about security. ex-internationals walk through sporting centres in Lagos and all other parts of the country and nothing happens them.
Don't sell us cheap to the outside world. Appreciate the efforts of everyone who is having a hand in the development of football in Nigeria and if you don't, please go somewhere else where you feel you can be safe.

ODION IGHALO please amend your ways if you have not been good to your fans or community, please don't make excuses. The Saudi Arabia league you are coming from does not have the talents the Nigeria Premier league has, and they don't even use referees of their country until recently. Never have you said anything about their officiating or the fact that none of the citizen were worthy of being appointed referees.

I am a football referee from Ogun state and I will defend my association as I will for footballers as an ex-footballer myself. We deserve respect!

FamilyGiving Accolades To Women by boyskola(op): 11:03am On May 29, 2023
GIVING ACCOLADES TO WOMEN!

I didn't grow up knowing what a mother is; I lost mine at a very tender age.

Getting to stay with families and siblings, I have seen a pregnant woman first hand and has witnessed first hand how it feels when a woman gives birth the local way.

Lately I look at pregnant women and I can't but marvel at how wonderful God is; a tiny stomach becoming protuded and bringing forth another human through that tiny hole of the vagina which expands to bring forth a child.

I was reading a write up from a friend today about a woman's monthly flow, and I look deep within me; are there other ways men feel the same pain women feel but we don't talk about it?

I have been opportuned to witness a woman's pregnancy process from the night of the ecstasy to the moment of birth. The truth is, I can't withstand pain from another person In any form.

I have wonderful women who gave birth to an amazing damsel, and at the point of birth, I broke down shedding tears like a matchetted tree. Awaye was and will continue to be the go to person when it comes to times like that.

The pains, the shrills, the shouts, the expectations, the joy, the happiness; all are what this women feel and yet they hardly remember immediately the child comes forth. This women: cook our foods, get jealous over us, obey our commands, look out for us, pray for us, take care of the home fronts, run errands and take care of things we men hardly take note of!

Yes; I do not have a biological mother, but I have seen wonderful women doing well for themselves, making headways where there seems to be none, and always standing up for what is right. In a world dominated by men; women are worthy cause to be celebrated and given the accolades they deserve.

Does this means the men should be neglected? definitely not, we feel the pangs as much as the women do, we just don't talk much about it and ours aren't physical. We get stressed mentally, psychologically; and yet we don't show it

The almighty has created us differently and has given us our unique duties. As much as one tries, you can never be like the other! Let's give it to our women; they deserve all the accolades

Nairaland GeneralWhat Is Nigeria Really Adding To Us As It's Citizens by boyskola(op): 9:45pm On Jun 28, 2022
First of all, let's forget about Election or new political office holder coming to make things better. Nigeria has been the way it is since the days of our father's and the bitter truth is; no one I REPEAT no one can or will make it better if we still continue with this Constitution and attitude towards governance that the present elected leaders are putting in, then there is our mentality as citizens too

I got to Abeokuta in the year 2003, and I started relating with friends since 2006 when I started playing football. And one thing I can tell you is, we are all still here 16 years after with no significant improvement or progress in our lives. don't quote me wrong, those who wants Education are educated, those who are into entrepreneurship are doing well and living a moderate lifestyle

Let me not forget those who couldn't withstand all it takes and have taken on Yahoo as a lifestyle, and then there are those who got enough of Yahoo and decided going against it. Not because they made enough money but for reason best known to them

And then, there are the simple lifestyle personality who are contented and just want to have the best of life. There are those who have also had the opportunity to travel out of the country to saner climes to pursue a greener pasture.

But when I look keenly, I realise we are not really what we are capable of as what we just do is make money for sustenance. It's difficult saving enough for you to even do something tangible with your life as there's always a governmental policy to bastardize your efforts and turn you into a novice in your profession. You begin to ask yourself if you are doing enough or there's something you are not doing right.

I tell you, surviving in Nigeria is not by Talent, not by Education, not by hard work, not by being just, not by being sincere;. Then how do you survive? what survival efforts can you put into making it the way you want?

I have seen amazing footballers who are even much more better than those we see on television rot away in the slums of Nigeria without any hope of ever making it again. I have seen amazing atheletes in other sports just go back to learning a vocation as their talent is being wasted by the system. I will definitely cast my vote for a candidate I believe in, but I am never going to have the assertion that He/she will make things better (They are all the same).

I have seen very brilliant chaps become obsolete jumping from one hustle to the other when there was nothing meaningful to do with their lives

I have amazing chaps who are trying really hard to make things better form themselves but the atmosphere and the terrain is simply not comfortable

I am honestly tired

What is NIGERIA adding to us as it's citizen?

PoliticsProtests Does Not Work In Nigeria by boyskola(op): 9:56pm On Jun 11, 2021
So, One of my elder brother called me tonight and asked how tomorrow is going to be. He was trying to know if I had a job to deliver and I answered in the negative.

He wanted to confirm if I won't be out because of the protest that's scheduled for tomorrow. Honestly I forgot about the protest as I was already thinking on how to get to OSIELE to play football tomorrow morning. I was also trying to run away from community meeting as those babas will knock on my door tomorrow and I don't want to attend the meeting. I know I am a Comrade, and I am a proud one any day. I will continue to defend the Interest of those I represent as much as I can.

But if you are expecting me to lead a Nationwide protest or go with you, then I am sorry I can't!

It is glaring for us all to see, that PROTESTS DOESN'T WORK IN NIGERIA. I was part of the 2012 protest where we were moving round Abeokuta protesting the increase in PMS fee; so many people lost their lives and few months after, the petrol price was still increased to what they want. So why bothering ourselves?

Okay, Compared to what we protested against in 2012; How much are you now buying petrol?
Those who died during the course of the protests and agitations, what is their gain?

Let's come down to the latest protest which was the ENDSARS PROTEST; Up till now, have you heard of the conviction of any of the hoodlums who hijacked the protest?
Okay, Compared to what we protested against in 2012; How much are you now buying petrol?
Those who died during the course of the protests and agitations, what is their gain?

We all need to sit down and think deeply; it is not by how many people do we have on the Street, it is how many people truly want the change they so clamour for!
Lets take the Elections that took place just immediately after the ENDSARS PROTEST; Who won the Election?

*The same political Party that is leading us into the wilderness*

Are you going to tell me those who voted, none of them were at the protest? Is there no better Candidate than that of the same party?

Part of the ENDSARS PROTESTERS still went to the primaries of this same political party oooooo
They got to the Primaries and still fought themselves ooo.

What are we now saying? It is all ABOUT US NIGERIANS if we truly need the change we so much clamor for

Trust me, local Government Election is coming up o, the same set of people who are complaining on the price of Garri, will still be the one to go and collect the amount that will not even buy a congo of Garri to vote for a particular candidate! When you talk to them, they will still be justifying their stupidity (change wanters o)

Yes; Truly we need Actions, but the Action we need is not *protestical action*

What we need in Nigeria is beyond 5,000 prayer chain! It is beyond starving ourselves all in the name of fasting for NIGERIA!

Sir/Ma we have been praying for the past 35 years (it's more o, but that's the one I am sure of)

What has prayer done? Is it not getting worse? The truth is I am a CHRISTIAN MYSELF.
And the GOD I know is not wicked, He's not a GOD that doesn't listen to the cries of His People!

You that you started the prayer chain, Do you have your PVC? you that is fasting for Nigeria, Will you go out on Election days and vote?

The only protest I can ever partake in ever again is the PROTEST on Election days, I will go out no matter what and vote my conscience!I heard some people keep saying, does voting still count in Nigeria?

You don't need to ask, let us all sit at home and the same anguish we are all feeling right now will continue until we decide to vote again.

If it doesn't count, why do some political parties pay as much as 10k/person for a vote? It's because they know it's importance more than you do

DeRay98:
Passion can open "bigger doors" for you and bigger things. If you work for the money it's easy to get frustrated when you are under financial pressure and money is lacking. Unfortunately, passion is overlooked by bosses in Nig hence people are discouraged. I love what I do and do it passionately and lots of clients have always complimented me. One day, an impressed client informed me of an opening in his office but I was still on contract so I couldn't take it. 2 yrs later I felt it was time to move so, I contacted him just in case he might know someone who had a space but not expecting his office to still have an opening.
He replied that, though they didn't have an opening but I should email my cv to his official email add. and stay in touch.
2 months later, I was invited for an interview in his company and a week later I was offered the job.
It's the best job I have had in 16yrs of my professional career. It's 3x the worth of my last job. It's been almost 2yrs now and this month I won the employee of the month award.
Passion can take you far and money will eventually come along wella.
God bless u my brother, hope our people learn from dis

if you work for passion..employers will take every advantage of you..use u and at the end u gain nothing..Nigeria is the only country where they expect you to work with passion but they are never ready to recognize your hard work and extra hours they make you put to your job..if you complain they tag you a rebel..
Nd dats where we r mistaken, its not about ur employers, its about YOU, aving passion 4 wat u do,if d passion is true,no matter wat dey "d employer" do, u will always still b in love for with passion, nd its not compulsorily ur present employer who r going to appreciate u! Some other person somewhere might av being looking at u to reward u

I work as an event decorator at ABEOKUTA nd I can categorically tell u I work for passion,2 me money is not every thing in life, there will come a time later on in d future wherre u will av all d money in d world bt dre will still b a gap in ur life "fulfillment" r u fulfilled? R u happy in d inner most part of ur heart, did u gather everything u av doing wat u love? Dis nd many more questions will arise wen dat time comes......bt wen u work for d passion u won't work for money;money will work for u,cos no matter hw little u r given u will b satisfied nd it will b enouf for u to do all u want to do.... Am not despising d fact dat money is not important,bt am saying its not d most essential........Working for d money is a different thing entirely from working for passion.....cos when u work for money u r only after d money,so its no ur headache if wat u r doing is well done or not. Bt wen u work for d passion,u perfect dat which u do, nd I assure u x10 of wat u r supposed to b paid will b given to u when u work PASSIONATELY.................nd I Quote "do what u love, not love what u do"

SportsRe: Oliseh Vs. Enyeama And The Impending Doom by boyskola(m): 7:59pm On Oct 07, 2015
joseph1013:
If the reports I am getting from camp is anything to go by, then Enyeama was clearly in the wrong.

Trouble started when they had a meeting after the Tuesday training session, which Enyeama did not participate in because he was busy talking with a member of the crew eventhough he knew that only Carl Ikeme is the goalkeeper available. So Oliseh called a meeting and said he'd like Ahmed Musa to captain the team for the Congo clash. That was where trouble erupted. Enyeama would have none of that. He stood up in front of everyone and was said to have rudely interrupted the coach's speech at this point, the Lille keeper insisting that he was the captain, not Musa. Enyeama was even fighting for Mikel, most senior player in the team to be captain for friendlies not Musa when it became obvious that he would not be playing.

This interruption apparently riled Oliseh, who ordered Enyeama to let him (Oliseh) address his players in peace. But Enyeama continued talking, raising his voice at the coach.

When Oliseh could not take it anymore, he ordered that Enyeama leave the venue of the meeting as he felt the keeper was undermining his (Oliseh's) authority.

When Enyeama refused to leave, Oliseh asked for the goalkeeper to be forcibly removed from the Verviers Hotel camp by security men.

Why should Enyeama not accept the verdict of the coach? Hell was not let loose when Neymar replaced Silva as captain of Brazil. There was no arguments with the coach when Mascherano was replaced by Messi as Captain. What right has Enyeama got to oppose his coach? Anywhere in the world once a new coach takes over he decides who will be his captain, that's standard, if he does not choose you, then you have to sempe. Super Eagles is not your father's property.

Ahmed Musa will captain the Eagles just for the game VS Congo DR ironically Enyeama won't play that game so why was he causing trouble.

Enyeama was quoted to have made alot of caustic statements.

Enyeama said this words "Who is Oliseh?" So Oliseh sent him out of camp to show him who the boss is.

Enyeama told Oliseh what have you done that I have not done for the Super Eagles, what did you win that have not won,who are you? #Crazy

Enyeama told Oliseh how long were you in the national team? This is my 13th year you can't come in here and start misbehaving #Crazy

Anyone supporting Enyeama on this issue is supporting indiscipline. NFF on their part overruled Sunday Oliseh, what message are they passing by undermining the manager's authority?

And no, Enyeama did not apologize to Oliseh. He even went on instagram to say that Oliseh insulted his mother, something that never happened. Dude is very childish.

NOTE: I have my sources in the Eagles and it all points to the fact that Enyeama was clearly in the wrong.

GOODNEWS: Wilfred Ndidi & Kingsley Madu join Alampasu as players called up to @NGSuperEagles ahead of games VS Congo Dr & Cameroun as replacements

He should reflect God's power accordingly. We do not exalt those on our own level. A true pastor must SHOW he is above us in every way.

The Vatican has billions and BILLIONS in precious metals and stones but this pope does not display any of this for us to admire. If we cannot SEE and admire a man's power and wealth how can we follow him and give unto his glory?

This pope is a disgrace to Christianity. A man of God cannot be humble. He must be mighty as God is mighty.Fly your private jet, Papa Oyedepo! Wear your Rolex, Papa Adeboye. Wear your Armani suits Pastor Daniel! We cannot judge you as we judge ourselves. You are truly men of God. Our spiritual and earthly masters!
D pope a disgrace? Hmmmmmmm!!!! Still tinking abt wat to say to u

NICOGRAVITY:
She never said she is selling her body, neither did I imply that.
She is only saying that her beauty is an asset.
Remember, beauty Queens make money by being beautiful, they don't have to sale their body.
Everything you have is a gift, it depends on how you use it and develop it.
Sincerely i undastand u, bt quoting those her words "am too beautiful to b poor" wat do u tink she is implyin,nd besideswheres d money in d yoruba Nollywood of a tin? Fake life na im,most of dis people dey live jare

I love this lady's response, epic. Best way to answer your critics. She understands her onions very well. Her beauty is enough to fetch her wealth. I call that economic assurance..
So u implying selling her body isnt bad?
