Politics / Rojenny International Stadium Back To Life Gov Obi Supports With N30m by boytonero1: 2:00pm On Dec 02, 2013
Rojenny International Stadium, Oba, Idemmili South Local Government Area Anambra state, Nigeria has come back to life after Governor Peter Obi doled out initial N30 Million to give it a facelift. The international stadium is inside Rojenny Tourist and Games village Oba, with an eighty thousand (80,000) seaters capacity. It has a standard football pitch and tartan tracks was a home .
No wonder Udoji united F.C and Jasper F.C which has produced many international and national football stars used the stadium then which has hosted the under 17 Golden Eaglets before representing Nigeria in Japan 1993 junior world cup which they eventually won.
The Rojenny Tourist and Games Village with many facilities such as: standard swimming pool, two standard lawn tennis court, basket ball, volley ball, badminton, table tennis etc and entertainment, facilities such as: zoo, recreation centers, garden park, club house, restaurant, hotels and suites, conference hall, cultural centers and church, mosque and traditional worship centers etc is owned by Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka.
Chief Ezeonwuka is the Founder Ogirishi Igbo Foundation (Igbo peace, reconciliation and conflict resolution center) located inside the Rojenny Tourist and Games Village Garden.
Last week the FA cup between Warri Wolves and Dynamite FC of Benin and a cross section of dignitaries at the field spoke to a team of reporters from Orient led by Sport Editor Tony Oji, Chiemeka Ezeemo and Chinwe Okafor on the way forward of the Rojenny sports field top make it reignite interest as in the past. Excerpts :
The first to speak is FIFA Match Commissioner and a Member of FA, Anambra state Chapter, Mr Victor Nwangwu
Why were you in Rojenny Stadium the other day?
I am here to monitor the FA Match between Warri Wolves and Dynamite FC of Benin which ended in favour of Warri Wolves. It was a very interesting football match and the pitch is also a standard one, I say Kudos to Rojenny Chief Executive Officer, Chief Ezeonwuka Rommy.
Did you observe the work going on in the stadium and how will you rate it.
Yes, it is a good one and will boost the standard of sporting events that Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka wants to initiate to engage our up coming youths. Both teams that played today enjoyed the pitch and the atmosphere here and the spectators stand has gotten a better shape, soon this place will start booming again.
Sir, are you aware that the state gov. gave the sum of N30 million to support the good work of Rojenny and to uplift the image of sports in our state?
Yes, what is worth doing, is also worth doing well. I thank the Governor for giving such support at a time we are clamouring for sports resuscitation in our state. Many sports legendS in this country are from this state, so we should lead by example and always set the pace for others to emulate.

Delafruita:
how and why is a tax payer cheated by this buy back option?the lagos state government has clearly stated that LCC wanted to raise toll.to avoid that and for other reasons, its buying out the contract and it has gone ahead to say it will issue bonds to financa the buy-back.pray tell how that becomes a tax-payers burden.nothing changes except that the road will now be finished by LASG and not LCC.and the funds will still not come from the coffers of LASG but rather from investors who invest in the issued bonds.how is that too difficult to understand?

And then the bond will repay itself! If you think the bond will be paid from the proceeds of toll then think again. The investors would not have preferred a buyback. Do not be fooled. All you see are simply in the interest of Tinubu.

Politics / What If You Are The Pesident Of Nigeria Today? by boytonero1: 8:45pm On Aug 24, 2013
Dear NairaLanders,
This question is just as simple as it can be. Please tell us, if you are the president of Nigeria today, what would you do differently? Remember you are supposed to be a democratic president and not a military dictator so please go ahead.

The sergeant and the entire police force is not different from the society that created them. We are always too quick to condemn others. Shame on all of us. And kudos to the hero whose brevity lead to the dismissal of one of us. It is only a matter of time before you too are caught
Properties / Re: Where Do I Download Nigeria National Building Code? by boytonero1: 7:02pm On Aug 06, 2013
Exact information I have been trying to confirm also.

Someone told me that it is 3m from the road(for streets) and 9m(for major road). Distance of building from the fence facing the road is 9m. This is not from a confirmed source.

Are there any architects in the house that can provide correct info please.

[quote author=megainvest]Thanks @pet_saint.

I have tried to scan through for the minimum distances of a building from the road, fence and between buildings but I haven't seen it. Does anyone know what these distances are and are they stated in this code?

I see in many areas where this government continues to live a lie, full of hypocrisy. Is Fasola so unlearned to know that if he fixes the stress and corruption associated with the process of land registration, he does not need to threaten anyone to register their property? They have earmarked an area to grab and so they must find a regulation to justify the atrocities. I have been hearing for many months about moves to start electronic CofO. Can this government just concentrate in doing just that? Nonsense!

If only you know the number of abortions that go on everyday then we may instead be praising this doctor for saving lives. I hope the so-called DSS director has a better solution for these girls. He will simply run his mouth here only to leave them to their fate afterwards. I didn't read that the doctor is encouraging the girls to get pregnant.
Family / Re: Homosexuality And Its Adverse Effects On The Family by boytonero1: 6:48pm On Jun 15, 2013
I do not hate a gay or a lesbian person. I feel pity for them and I believe they need help rather than be encouraged to continue living like that. With advances in science, having been able to turn a full grown man into a woman, why can't we use this technology to help those who by no choice of theirs found themselves in this pitiable situation? I am 100% against homosexual marriage. It does not add any value neither to the people invloved nor the society at large.

jidegirl12: Are you Bullying them now because it doesn't seem right to you and your beliefs? Do you really know what effect this thread can cause for gays out there?? Suicide attempt maybe?

Why can't you live and let others live Nigerians?? I tire oh.

Why can't we live and let armed robbers live? Why can't we live and let rapists live? Why can't we live and let pedophiles live? Why can't we allow insane people to have the same right by occupying high positions in govt? My friend, an anormally is better corrected than condoned. It does not make sense to encourage homosexuality rather we should encourage them to live a normal life. Help is definitely available for a gay or lesbian to learn to live a normal life. Just the same way we preach to a thief to repent. Punishment follows if you refuse to adhere to norms.

I think it's a good advice, but seriously you may not know why it happens that you post your comment like everyone else on NL and end up with the long article:
It happens when you use the "Quote" link after the article. Try using the Comment link instead.
CPC is congress for progressive change but I do hope they are progressively changing...

TV/Movies / Frequent Disconnection Of DSTV Service, Am I All Alone In This? by boytonero1: 11:53pm On Apr 30, 2013
DSTV has formed the habit of disconnecting my account every now and then. When I call them to complain, they will just keep apologizing only to have it happen again in few days. From January to date, my account has been disconnected upto 8 times even though I pay for 3 months at a ago. Are you guys experiencing this poor and unreliable performance from DSTV?

Please share your experience of DSTV service disconnection here. Thanks

I believe the tone of my request answers your question. What I do not enjoy is people taking me around to see plots that are clearly opposite the description I have given in my request. If you have what I am looking for, we can make a deal.

I am a serious buyer.
