It is a redflag definitely, however if there are supported explanations, maybe some sales, some investments etc. I don't advise you submit just like that as I have had a visa rejection for this same reason before.

However during my PR application I didn't put anything about my salary, and the POF I availed was very huge, there was not problem with it, I didn't even submit a statement, just a letter from the bank.

It is actually not a red flag if the funds have been there for more than 6 months. They don’t care.

If it’s less than 6 months, then you’d have to explain how you got the money.

Also, they don’t tie your income with POF. The income is only to verify your work experience. That serves as evidence you got paid, meaning that you worked.

Since you’ve received nomination, I’m not sure it matters now.

I think you should simply include the new info in you express entry profile and update the POF and chill for ITA.
