Hello, please can someone respond to this I beg? When putting in application for express entry, when is one required to show proof of funds? Is it among the first documents that u will submit when u apply? I know Wes, IELTS, filling application form, maybe reference from workplace, work experience and some few other stuff will be d first application, I don't know much. But where my worry is is the POF, Or do you show it after you have been given ITA? I really want to know when the whole proof of funds stuff comes in and how long it will need to stay in ones account too. Also is 37 years as main applicant too old for express entry?

You are only required to show proof of funds after you have received ITA. And once you receive ITA, you have 60 days to submit your application, along with your POF.

By the time you submit your application, the money should be at least 6 months in your account. If its not, you'd have to explain the source of the funds, if its less than that time.

About the age, you've lost about 35 points already. The best choice is to learn French as a second language to boost your score, if possible.

Lol.

Many of these pastors are traditionalists and deity worshipers. Some are politicians and delve into all kinds of things.

A lot of them use "Church" to cover up.

If you can afford 700k, you could as well afford a small vehicle that can be used for Bolt and Indrive and the car will still be yours with no one breathing down your neck.

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to subscribe to Lagride.

The color sef is appalling.

I’m facing the same issue. I would really appreciate a response on this.

You cannot use the UCI that begins with "CAN000" to register on the application tracker.

You'd have to wait till your Medicals are passed (MEP) and you're issued a Biometric instruction letter (BIL). Thats when your real UCI is updated. You will get a notification for these.

Until then, have patience.

I received the passport request letter on aug 7th, i have 30days to send my documents (which is 5th of September).
However, i am getting married on 8th of sept.

I have sent webforms to IRCC but i still haven’t received any response.

What can i do?
1. Should i send my travel documents to IRCC?
2. Should i wait till they respond to my webform?

I am really confused. Please help

Go ahead and send the passport.

They will cancel your COPR and reissue another when you add your spouse, so far you've not landed in Canada.

Also, you can only notify them successfully after you've actually wedded, not before.

You are wrong to assume that I subscribe to your suggestion that all men in that situation resort to animalistic behavior like OP's husband is reported to have done. And yes, a relationship can be mended if both parties are willing to make allowance for such to occur. undecided

2. Why should her actions be to reduce tensions when the man is responsible for creating tension where there ought not to have been one to begin with? undecided

There are some lines that must not be crossed, raising your hand to beat a spouse is one, the other is arresting the spouse (at least in Africa).

Abroad, the man would have suffered more for this. You cannot tell me this is repairable.

So, even if they both want to, they shouldn't even try to reconcile and mend the marriage? Do you listen to yourself at all? undecided

Mend what exactly? Have you not been listening to your self asking me multiple times how the man is an animal, plus the woman's action of locking the animal up? What nonsense reconciliation is being suggested here?

The woman's actions has not reduced the tensions that induced the animalistic venture of the man, it rather exacerbated the whole thing, so how else will this be resolved? Abeg let everyone dey their dey.

You only heard her side of the story, which I'm sure is exaggerated to fit her narrative.

Until I hear the man's side, I will take her "beating" submission with a pinch of salt.

For every man that decided to attack a scared woman who probably did the only thing she thought was right after being beaten and humiliated by a drunk man, you people are simply mad! As in raving mad! May the likes of OP's husband befall your siblings or daughters. If you don't have money as a man, have good character. You cannot lack both and be shouting bruised ego. God punish that ego that will make you raise your hand on an hardworking woman who decided to take up the responsibilities of the home. And it's because she is doing it well, that's why he has the guts to go and drink. Nobody is advising that woman to run from the monster her husband has become till he is back to his senses. The he-goats are busy claiming she denied him sex. When he comes back smelling like a hippo after drinking, what is she supposed to do? Take her bath and lie down for him to climb?

Madam! Do you have male relatives? Put them in the know of who your husband has become, let them come and warn him not to raise his hands on you again. And be on the look out, if he doesn't change, biko carry your things and leave before he kills you and start blaming the devil. Stop feeling guilty. Else he will capitalise on that guilt and bring more drama. If he has ego, he should go and work! even if na to carry blocks for head. Real men work to provide for their family. Not going about sulking and beating their wives.

This is no longer necessary. The man won't do anything for/to her. The marriage is dead now, so no need for further drama.

I see some ladies claiming law, they are right but in marriage, African marriage has law ever been used to settle right? No. Law comes in when thing has gone sour and beyond redemption. Op arresting her husband simply put a nail to the coffin. In Nigeria where police station is viewed as a thing of shame and a home for criminals grin. Op carry her husband go there go chilax and she wants everything to go back to normal. Lol please be realistic! Even the Oyinbo people in developed countries we are emulating go through counseling and therapy before carrying themselves to court. You want to jump procedure and except good results. We are Africans, until we get to a stage where sleeping in cell means the same as being in a correctional facility please think twice before you arrest your partner. It's the reason our mothers hardly report social issues like child rape because they know doing that means it is over (I'm not supporting it just stating a cause)

Op clearly did not prepare herself for the outcome of her actions. She has done it and apologized for it but I'd advice she watches her back. A man who destroys his wife properties acts on contempt and jealousy such man with a bruised ego is dangerous. I will suggest Op threads with caution and watch her back. If I may, I will suggest separation.

Am I saying this marriage is gone? I'm not God. Miracle no dey tire Jesus.

Call a spade by its name. The marriage is gone.

The moment that you brought in other men to overpower your husband in his own house, your marriage was irreversably destroyed. What you did was even worse than keeping other men as boyfriends, in his eyes, and trust me, cry all you want but he will never forgive you. Your only option now is to move back to your Fathers' house.

I'm sorry to say this, but your husband is childish.

If he was my husband and he starts emotionally blackmailing me like that by refusing to leave those police cells... I was going to leave him there until the police kick him out, or until he decides to leave.

As long as I'd have apologized to him and explained the reason why I got him arrested, I'd have left him there with his childish tantrums.

Maybe it's because I don't tolerate nonsense.

Well, I guess that would be the end of the marriage.. you'd be prepared to be divorced.

Lol I’ll start by reminding that Canada is an expensive country due to the high standard of living and a system in place to push/pull as many people as possible towards the middle income bracket. However it’s worse for naira earners due to exchange rate issue. There are somethings we take for granted in Nigeria which is quite a big deal in canada for instance home ownership. Please if you own a house or land do not sell it . Work towards earning the money you intend to spend in Canada in Canada. It’s very possible as I did it and most of my friends also did. You can do it by getting a job before landing or if you’re a family person land first and your family joins you after you get settled as this way you get to spend less of your naira savings. It is also easier for a friend to house you than to house you + your family .

I also believe that moving to Canada for a high skilled work should be more of continuity and not necessarily restarting life. Many will tell you about starting with survival jobs and all but please aim for the high skilled jobs right away. It may not be easy but the more you try the higher the outcome. Try to spend more time around people who moved to Canada via express entry like you’re doing and less time with people who came via aduro. The mindset is different as they may be advising you on how to work around the system to get this benefit or that benefit. Kings don’t live on benefits.
Lastly my boss once told me Canada is designed for two people (household). Make proper plans and you’ll be alright . God bless.

This is quite insightful.

I have taken my mind off all IRCC shenanigans and have started looking at the jobs in my field and some of the other things you highlighted.

So when you say the system is designed for two people household, you mean its easier with a spouse? I've always thought being a single guy would be an advantage, as per german german level cheesy
