And oh yeah, you might find an actual christian who has never actually encountered muslims except for the cornerside Aboki or their Gateman say "Yes, Islam is not bad at all." If he is honest enough, he might add "the muslim I know are good people".

And yes, you'll probably have some dude make a wisecrack like "yet millions of people are killed, who's deceiving who" only to have Muslims descend on him, calling him a fanatic, saying people were killed in the old testament, shouting you're not cultured and all that nonsense for saying the truth.

The thread might actually garner enough traffic to hit FP and reach page 32 with all sorts of comment.


And then, when 13 brilliantly written counter threads are open, NONE will make FP and Muslims will appauld calling it horribly predijuced and all sorts of names.....


We know all this, we've seen it before, so go ahead, lie for your religion, say Muslims are good and Islam is a great religion.
Only we all know that's a lie you tell yourself to feel better and that Islam is still a horrible accident that has caused way too much trouble and espouses all sort of nonsense.

I just wrote my business experiences with Muslims, would it hurt to share yours in simple english?

To be candid, I love the Muslims I've met, not the ones you read or see on Aljazeera, CNN and BBC.

The bolded is written everywhere in the Bible. Its just that most Christians are not really true worshippers of God. If you ask a regular church-goer why he is a christian and goes to church, you will see that many of them are forced by problems and economic hardship to serve God.

I am an Estate Surveyor, buying, selling and letting of landed properties for clients. And I am a Christian.

For the past 8 years in this profession, I have had business relationships with both Muslims and Christians and below are my experiences:

1. Muslims are more likely to tell you the truth than Christians in business: Most Christians will say the truth to brag (I'm born-again) while the Muslim counterparts tell the truth naturally.

2. A Muslim is more likely and willing to help: Christians are filled with fear, envy and hatred. I have 2 Muslim landlords who have committed properties worth millions in my care and they didn't even bother to know my office. But there's a certain RCCG Deaconess who gave me an abandoned/dilapidated house to manage after she had thoroughly done a background check on me. Many of them like that.

3. A Christian will likely cheat you than a Muslim: Muslims believe in consequences of actions and giving of accounts of things done on earth to God. A typical Christian will lift up a bible to swear and defraud you.

There are many experiences to share but its not easy typing with a phone.

Are my observations wrong?

I will try to be as brief as I can. First let no one think I am after anybody's money, I have an agricbuzz idea, but have no land and fund to put it in practice. All that is required is a minimum of 4 plots close to a river or stream. I have come across few articles stating that nigerians living abroad should not forget his or her father land and therefore established a business in nigeria to help with the high unemployment in the country. Some will and others will not agree with me but I for one ( as someone who is fortunate to be nigerian and also settled abroad) think that, nigerians abroad not wanting to invest in his or her father land is not the issue, but the main issues that may discourage nigerians abroad from establishing a business in nigeria is down to the amount of untrustworthy people, corruption and bad infrastructure.

With regards to bad infrastructure. I think nigerians economy will grow largely with just simple constant electricity, with good and regular electricity businesses which rely on electricity can trade longer and staff will work longer hours earning more money, people will come out more at night to spend money in entertainment venues because regular electricity would mean people will feel safer at night due to street light.

In terms of dealing with untrustworthy people. it is unfortunate that the bad people in nigerian are giving the good people of nigeria a bad name and reputation. It is so hard now adays to trust people in nigerian because people just seems to be money hungry. A nigerian abroad wanting to establish a business in nigerian to create employment opportunities and investment for his or herself can't be in two places at once but because people are so money hungry it is hard for a nigerian abroad to start a business in nigeria and put family or outsider in charge to run the business on behalf of a nigerian abroad. There is nothing wrong with buying a fleet of car to use as taxi and pay someone salary to drive the taxi. Here due lack of transparency of some people a driver can make 10,000 naira a day for example and only say he made 5,000 naira, this is why investor choose hire purchase to protect their investment.

I for one as a nigerian fortunate to also have abroad nationality would like to invest in nigeria by establishing some sort of business that creates jobs to help the nigerian economy grow but as one can't live and also be in nigeria at the same time to run a business on the ground, are there businesses or investment a nigeria abroad can invest in without ending up with egg on his face. By investment, I mean, properties, animal farming and so on.

P.S. As the Sunny Ade song (the way forward goes), nigerian can only move forward in the right direction if nigeria itself as a country gives itself a good reputation on the world stage, which in turns will benefit the people of nigeria.
