Crime / Re: Robber Works For A Police Inspector In Lagos (Photo) by brandchambers: 9:41pm On Apr 11, 2016
But the Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, denied that Ijaya was a serving cop in the command.

“We don’t have a policeman bearing Festus or Ijaya in the command,” she said.

This is a blatant lie from the pit of hell. Lawyers and anybody conversant with the SARS, Ikeja, will know that there is a policeman attached to SARS that goes by that alias - IJAYA. The boy might not know the actual name of the guy since they operated in the capacity of a superior and an inferior. Go to any beer parlour at POWA, adjacent the state command and ask for the man IJAYA, he's a very popular person in the social circle there. I do know him. It is preposterous defenses like this put up by the so called Police spokesperson that makes one to be afraid for this country. People in authority are too disposed to abusing their offices forgetting that what comes around goes around. And as we lay our beds as a nation, so we are going to lie on it. God bless Nigeria.

Career / Re: Confusion O! Which Do I Choose DSS Job Or Etisalat Specialist Job? by brandchambers: 7:13pm On Apr 10, 2016
My dear, listen carefully, I don't usually commnent on this section, but I'll advise you go for etisalat. I work with a Federal government parastat right now having worked with a private institution for 10 yrs before crossing over to civil service. The difference is clear.Go for etisalat for you'll be bored after sometime at DSS and be stuck after a while. You need the pressure at Etisalat and any young man who doesn't want that is lazy. There is no job security anywhere but look for job fufllment. You'll work with likeminded people at Etisalat & they will surely drive you to achieve more than mediocres who mostly fill civil service. My 2 cents.

Ftea:
why are guyz are lyk dis..... you dnt go and cause
religion problem.......................... islam is a religio of peace and d conference was meant to bless d country. so y are some FOOL/IDIOT sayin negative tin abt a peace religion

I don't know how you people define your 'peace'. Especially when history has it that your prophet has so much blood in his hands in the course of his propagation of this religion. I'm convinced that the ISIS, Boko Haram members are the true imitators of the prophet of Islam. Thank God all his atrocities were committed in the 7th century, in modern day context, he would have been cited for genocide. I'm also sure that if the man was to live today many of you muslims wouldn't want anything to do with the religion. I urge you to read about the man Muhammed, not from the eye of what your Alfas and other religious leaders are telling you. Sincerely, when somebody say Islam is a religion of peace, I see it as being ludicrous and a poor attempt at lying. And what is more, events in virtually all countries where muslims have majority do not by any stretch of imagination support this claim of the religion having anything to do with peace, their traits and characters absolutely denounce the content of that claim. To put it more aptly in a yoruba wit saying, it is - pipe aja l'obo, i.e. 'Calling a dog, a monkey'.

Which of your South are many 17 years girls already baby mamas ?. For your information the South of Nigeria is not another Islamic republic where pedophilia tendencies and emotions are elevated to the level of religious adoration only to satisfy men's inordinate sexual desires.

Religion of peace indeed. If this was to be the other way round, all hell would have been let loose. Islam at best can only offer the 'peace' of the graveyard. It is permissible to force somebody to convert to Islam, ironically, a former muslim who renege the religion is deemed to have committed apostasy punishable with death under their Sharia. I'm so convinced that could not be God. Otherwise why did he created human differently, if we could not exercise our Right of Choice and freewill. I will rather worship any of the Yoruba gods than worship an Arab god. That's my take.

Politics / Re: Accept Electricity Tariff Hike As Painful Pill – Fashola by brandchambers: 9:52pm On Feb 08, 2016
The common fundamental element amongst the Nigerian ruling class is their wickedness. At times I think there is the conspiratorial covenant between them and the devil from whom they derived power to inflict much pains on the Nigerian masses. Right from the time of the self-styled evil genius (IBB), the mantra has always been and still remain 'Nigerians must make sacrifices' and ask them - where is the beneficial consequences of all the sacrifices we have been making all this while? mind you, Nigerians, give it to us, we are a long-suffering people. And this, this bunch of misogynists in power are always capitalizing on. - Monkey dey work, Baboon dey chop. No difference between six and half-a-dozen.

I personally know this guy wella. He's involved in the embezzlement of the proceeds from the sale of Nigerian House in the DC for which he was sometimes arraigned in court by the EFCC. He definitely has some personal vendetta against the Nigerian govt. He shouldn't befuddle issues with a view to gaining cheap popularity by making things looking as if he's being victimized. The DSS must definitely have one or two questions to ask him entirely unrelated to his past or present criticism of government. The Emeka that I know has no truth.

Nairaland / General / Man Sets Own Son Ablaze. by brandchambers: 6:14pm On Jan 09, 2016
A 22-year-old man in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Sola Akangbe, died in the early hours of Saturday following wounds from a fire allegedly set on him by his biological father, Kehinde.

The deceased, a wheelbarrow pusher, was said to have suffered high degree burns and was confirmed dead by doctors at Ajisafe Hospital, Omu-Aran, where he was rushed to by the police on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that doctors at the hospital battled to save his life as the fire affected most parts of his body.

The deceased was said to have been accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money from some roadside beggars on Friday and was apprehended and handed over to his father.

The father, a commercial driver, allegedly drove his son to a nearby bush on Omu-Aran-Isanlu-Isin road, tied his hands and legs before setting him ablaze.

Sola, who was still alive when he was rescued, told his rescuers that his father was responsible for the act.

The mother of the deceased, Rachael, was seen crying in the hospital after the death of her son was broken to her.

The mother, who is a trader based in Odo-Owa, another suburb, said a friend had notified her of the development on the telephone before she rushed to the hospital to check on her son.

The mother, who acknowledged that Sola was an unrepentant troublesome fellow, however, expressed shock at the father’s action.

She disclosed that although she gave birth few weeks ago, she had divorced Kehinde about seven years ago as a result of irreconcilable differences.

Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, the Police Public Relation Officer in the state, confirmed the incident, saying that the suspect was already in police custody and that investigation was ongoing.

Nairaland / General / Man Sues Neighbour He Paid To Get Wife Pregnant But Failed After 72 Attempts. by brandchambers: 10:36pm On Sep 12, 2015
“In Stuttgart, Germany, a court judge must decide on a case of honourable intentions in a situation where a man hired his neighbour to get his wife pregnant. It seems that Demetrius Soupolos, 29, said his former beauty queen wife, Traute, wanted a child badly, but Demetrius was told by a doctor that he was sterile. So Soupolos after calming his wife’s protest, hired his neighbour Frank Maus, 34, to impregnate her. Since Maus was already married and the father of two children plus looked very much like Soupolos to boot, the plan seemed good. Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 dollars and for three evenings a week for the next six months, Maus tried desperately, a total of 72 different times, to impregnate Traute.

“When his own wife objected, he explained,” I don’t like this any more than you do, I’m simply doing it for the money. Try- and understand’. When Traute failed to get pregnant after six months however, Soupolos was not understanding and insisted that Maus have a medical examination, which he did. The doctor’s announcement that Maus was also sterile shocked every-one except his wife, who was forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their children.

“Now Soupolos is suing Maus for breach of contract in an effort to get his money back, but Maus refused to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest effort!”

If for any reason, Arsenal should drop points in this game, Wenger should be queried and probably sanctioned for being so cocky during the transfer window. All possession no end products.

Politics / Policemen Refused To Attend To My Complaint - Lagos Cp. by brandchambers: 10:56pm On Sep 07, 2015
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, says policemen from a division in the state referred him to another division, when he disguised as a motorist whose vehicle had just been snatched.

Owoseni, who was speaking on jurisdictional problems usually encountered when people had emergency complaints to make to the police, said the command was working at ensuring that the police could attend to complaints of people without the barrier of jurisdiction.

The CP said this on Friday during the visit of the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

The CP said, “There is sometimes the problem of jurisdiction when a complainant comes to a police station, and the officers there refer him to the station where the incident happened.

“When I freshly resumed as the CP, I paid a disguised visit to a police division in the Agege area. I told them that my vehicle was snatched around Abule Egba. The officers, who should have radioed the information, said I should go to the division in Abule Egba.

“The point is, the police are the same and jurisdiction should not be a barrier to reporting cases of sexual abuses.”

Earlier, a spokesperson for the team, who is also Director, Lagos State Office of the Public Defender, Omotola Rotimi, said the police should prosecute officers that put pressure on the victims to accept “settlement.”
