MyNewJackeT: you were not banned so why do you believe you deserve an apology, secondly who are the WE in your statement, this thread has been viewed three hundred and seventy six thousand times, and so we will need to do a poll to make sure you or WE deserve an apology, I support the thread lock so relax yourself. why should he have the right to lock the thread? Is it because he owns the forum? Previously when a decision like this was to be taken, he floats it first and gathers concesus on an agreement, i even tried to reach out to him so that we all could have a conversation and reach an agreement, needless to say it was ignored, so he alone now decides what goes and what doesn't and you think that is acceptable? So it suits your whims today, what of when it doesn't? I held out till yesterday on the other thread hoping he would unlock it after at most 12hrs after the leak/airing to give as much time as possible for those who haven't heard and downloaded to do so, and it took over 72hrs instead, if we both you and i can't have a say in this forum then he can as well have a monolouge. He didn't consult or notify us duly so yes, he owes us an apology or he could as well declare himself dictator |

SIRcumalot: do you gain their memories along with the faces you collect? this is new to me. never read anything like that book and show. my theory is hinged on arya wearing the Waif's face before returning it to the hall of faces in the house of black and white and yes when you wear a face you get all their memories so I'm also thinking you get their skills too |

waywardpikin: Let's both agree that to parry is different from to block. So, how do you block the swing of a greatsword with that tiny sword. Jon Snow definitely has more upper body strength than Arya so that's very possible. Plus, his sword is bigger. it will require a lot of intricate physics to determine factually if parrying is different from blocking and the moment of forces involved and on Jon's sword being bigger, his opponents Axe was bigger than brienne of tarth's sword as was his opponent the magnar of the thenns so by comparison there is relative equivalence in both duels therefore what applies to one should apply to the other |

Gbola5: Haha !! Good guy Littlefinger, advising Ned Stark.
What the person probably meant was; Littlefinger was whispering in Joffrey's ears, persuading him to kill Ned Stark, rather than send him to the wall. this isn't impossible to believe given the nature of both characters |

franugo: I saw a post on d other thread where someone was blaming LF for ned's death n i was like wth! Ned caused his own death EOD! His honour n honesty killed him n would've taken LF to a pointless grave had he not denied him...LF advised him yet he was adamant also, i must have missed d epic where it was proved dt LF poisoned jon arryn, which was it again? Then some person said another of his crime was killing lysa:-/ is dt one a crime abegï we know littlefinger killed Jon arryn by poison through lyssa arryn in one of her lovesick ramblings about the sacrifice she made for littlefinger |

Yonce: How much poison do you have to put on an arrow for it to significantly weaken a full grown Dragon?
You'd have to start targeting a specific vulnerable area to hasten the progress. Seems theoretically impossible. Also, you'll have to know the anatomy of a dragon well enough to know its cardiovascular system and the location of its major arteries to guarantee efficient delivery of the poison to the heart and beyond in the shortest time possible |

waywardpikin: You are right though. She shouldn't be able to parry the swing of a greatsword with that toothpick she calls a weapon, but it is what it is. it is steel on steel, and it would require a lot of upper body strength to pull that but your logic implies that you shouldn't be able to parry a war hammer or battle Axe with a regular sword too, but using Jon snow as a case study, that hasn't clearly been the case now, has it? |

Seun: People are so short-sighted and selfish sometimes. The fact that you watched it doesn't mean others have watched it. My mistake was not creating a thread for people who watched the leaked episode, but someone created the thread already, and it got a lot of traffic.
This thread only permits spoilers of the episodes that have been officially broadcast by HBO. No other spoilers are acceptable. where on this thread did you ever state that we can only discuss the thread once it is "officially" broadcast by HBO? |

Dlordsamurai: Nigerians are the most annoying set of people in this world. "Sometimes it baffles me as to how Nigerians behave online and offline. IF i am seun, i will close that other thread and place a ban on a lot of monikers. "What people dont know that, there are lot of silent fans of game of thrones that are not regular commenters on this thread. "Even though i saw the leaked episode and downloaded it, i stayed silent and allowed friends that have not seen it, wait till sunday, before we start discussing the episode. "i visited the other thread and i was greatly dissapointed with what i saw, i did not last for 1 minute in that thread before i left. A guy even wrote down spoilers, even to episode seven and i was like, what the fork!!!! please and please and please, dont drop spoilers of an episode that have not been aired, it kills the fun and the anticipation, it kills the excitement and make people begin to lose interest. "PLS let us be mature. Allowed? Who gives a fig for your allowance? It says "beware of spoilers" how thick can anyone be not to know what that implies? Or maybe you would justify the habits of people who who buy products and services with the disclaimer "terms and conditions apply" but come back to cry foul after an unread term or condition is applied! I am pissed about someone posting spoilers for the entire season too but i can't complain really because it is part of the contract embedded in wanting to interact on this thread so i swallow my bile and move on! Maybe you should too and sorry for this second mention, "armadeo" binge watches each season, so he locks himself out while we try to entice him with snippets and reveals, year in, year out! He doesn't make the kind of illogical assumptions you and seun are making that for his sake and others, the thread should be locked! good grief! |

Nihilist: I honestly don't think that Arya's needle should be able to parry the swing of a greatsword, especially when being swung with a great force by a mountain of muscle and sinew like Brienne.
I still think Aryas sword skills are heavily contrived. It would take forever to learn expert sword skills, and she's only been training for what? 3 years? Maybe 4? Having the Waif's memories would do just that! (Make her skilled enough) my own theory though |

MyNewJackeT: guy he locked it to protect us, me personally I watch it on Monday evenings, Wetin be una issue sef, I don't do all those low quality downloads, I record it on HD. 1080P And should anybody be bound by your self imposed restrictions? What business of ours is it? There is a well known contributor to this thread armadeo who likes to binge every season and he locks himself out of the thread whenever the season starts, what he doesn't do is ask for the thread to be locked because that would be convinient for his own personal agenda like you're trying to do now! In a thread that warns readers to "Beware of spoilers" who is more sensible between you and him? You judge! And warn yourself, this is not a day to be propagating this opinion of yours as people are angry and justifiably so! |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by BraniacX(m): 11:57am On Aug 07, 2017 |
MyNewJackeT: guys and chicks don't come and spoil it for us here and then believe that you're right to do so, there are people that haven't watched it till now, there are people in this thread who aren't in Nigeria too, so no feel say you go come dey talk spoilers here dey. confuse us.
if you want to talk leaked version go and discuss it in other threads Wetin happen.
don't kill the fun for others, there are more people viewing this thread than those commenting, just because they don't comment doesn't mean they support you. I'm one of those that are angry about the leaks sef, because it spoilt my weekend, killed my anticipation, etc etc. Now that you guys leaked it then what's the need of watching it, you guys are going to bear the consequence of this leaks , this thread is going to be boring from now on, you'll understand what it feels like to be Rob stark. knowing everything before it happens makes your life useless, hopeless and you'll lack what to live for.
about that beware of spoilers thing I believe some people put beware of dogs on their gate without dogs in it. Your logic is flawed |

Seun: Episode 4 has been officially aired, after being leaked early last week. What are your thoughts?
If you haven't watched episode 4, please stay away from this thread. You have been warned! Seun, i will quote you just this once, you might own this forum but this is not your forum! "Forum" by its own definition implies a gathering of people in a place to discuss matters of interest pertinent to them. This means this thread is brought to life by us as is this forum, I tried to initiate a conversation amongst the rightfully or wrongfully aggrieved and you but you just simply ignored it and shut down the other thread when you felt your time rule has been adequately enforced. Your refusal to engage others doesn't speak well of you |
