GMan650: BraniacX, do you remember the scene when Arya fought that female waif in a tunnel in which Arya cut off the candles to fight her in the dark? If yes, do you also remember Arya was injured in the stomach prior that?
Now my question is, after Arya presumedly killed the waif and returned the waif's face to the wall of the house of black and white(in which Jacken told Arya that she's now no-one); Who treated Arya?
Sorry for the epistle, I just wanna make sure you get the gist. Just so that we are clear, the injury for which she was being treated wasn't sustained in the encounter with the waif in which the waif lost her life, it was sustained in the previous encounter with the waif on the bridge over the canal in which the waif came in the form of an old shuffling lady. Arya survived that attack though i think she shouldn't have and she was already receiving treatment from the actress who she refused to kill, she was patched up, bandaged up and recuperating. The flight from the pursuing waif is what reopened those wounds. Not that they were actually new ones and i believe arya expected another attack from the waif and set things up in such a way as to present a facade of vulnerability while setting up a trap of darkness her most recent ally for the waif and guess what? It worked! |

GOTOlodo: I agree with you that the acting of the actors who played Tyrion, The hound and Cersie have been amazing from season 1 up until now. This is the extent to which I agree with you.
Kit Harrington's (Jon Snow) performance has improved as the story has progressed. His acting wasn't really impressive in the first 2 seasons, but it has gotten better. Last season's performance was his best, and he deserved his Emmy's nomination.
Massie William's (Arya) acting was very good in the first three seasons, when she was still little, but for me in recent episodes she isn't as powerful as an actress as she was. She isn't bad, but she isn't as good. She tends to fault a bit in her facial expressions. Or maybe it's just poor directing.
The Sand snakes are like the worst set of actors in the entire series. Their scenes are always cringy to watch. A grotesque combination of poor writing and poor acting.
Bronn and Edd's performance are just okay for their characters. Nothing spectacular.
Are you serious? Jamie and Theon are your worst actors? That's surprising because for me their acting has bee. quite Superb. My top six actors in the show are: Charles Dance( Tywin Lannister) Alfie Allen( Theon Greyjoy) Iwan Rhein (Ramsey Bolton) Lena Headey( Cersei) Jack Gleeson ( Prince Joffrey) Sean Bean(Ned Stark)
One of the marks of a good actor is versatility. You can clearly see this quality evident in the character transformation of Jaime and Theon. Theon especially. It's not easy for a character to go from being an arrogant douche to a likeable level headed guy the way Jamie Lannister did. It's like the directors changed the actor after the first three seasons. Watch Theon in season one and compare him with Theon in season six. You can tell how good of an actor the guy playing him is. His facial expressions and mannerisms are Ramsey tortured and broke him are difficult to convey and maintain, but he pulls them off flawlessly.
For me the worst actors are The Sand Snakes & Emilia Clarke(Daenerys). Then you should've said top actors past and present |

Jon is on his way to Dragonstone. . . He might as well show Missandai how to be with a real man. and get speared through the heart? I think not Besides, why would Danny allow it? Nihilist: Jon is a mugu, A last egbe, and A muppet.
His lack of straffes has nothing to do with any sense of propriety, the mugu doesn't just have many opportunities to nack.
And even when the opportunity arises, he still has to be coached by the likes of ygritte to not only recognise the opportunity, but to take advantage of it as well.
If Danaerys and Jon eventually have sex, I'm 100% positive that it would be the experienced Dragon queen that would initiate and lead proceedings, cos left to that mugu, both of them will be practicing swordcraft outside.
Such a shame that greyworm who has been dickless since childhood was able to go to town on missandei without prompting, whereas the Mugu of Winterfell still needed to be coached. Lolest lols |

kay9: <Book 3: A Storm of Swords:: pg 1006/1062>
And finally this niggling little mystery is explained. Why did Petyr keep on saying that Catelyn gave him her maidenhead? I mean, everybody knows that Littlefinger is the greatest liar in the Seven Kingdoms, but something about the way he kept on telling this particular tale unadulterated to all that cared to listen - Tyrion, Jamie, the Small Council, even Sansa - I just started wondering... And to hear Catelyn tell it, she had never so much as even pecked the heir of "rocks and sheep pellet" on the cheek.
Well, here i finally had my answer: it was Lysa.
It was Lysa "comforting" a drunk young Petyr, giving him her red flower and then slipping away early in the morning... and all through the drunk Petyr thought it was 'Cat'. Back when Hoster Tully was dying and crying "tansy", Catelyn finally figured out the reason behind Lysa's refusal to come see their father but the full story still eluded her: Petyr Baelish had challenged Brandon Stark because he thought it was Catelyn who had slept with him.
It's actually amusing that this once Littlefinger's stories weren't outright lies; he'd just been deceived. wow! Thanks for the reveals, it is amazing how much we skimp over and fail to notice while reading |

Yonce: Jon doesn't like spilling his seed recklessly, he's not interested in fathering bastards like himself. Hence why he blew off the red woman. Ygritte was too irresistible so I'm guessing he just had to bulge. But with Dany, marriage is guaranteed, plus potential princes and princesses with both parents to raise them. Isn't that special enough? Ygritte irresistible? I think not! More like super persistent, besides, he had an act to keep up to or die on suspicion of treachery. Jon so far so good has been the most honor bound act on the series! Even ahead of ned |

PR3ACHER: Little Finger has been on stale mate since Day 1, all his move has been badluck and none was successful, if Cersie ain't careful... She will end up like Catelyn and Ned. sorry to bust your bubblet, this cascade of events that has had 5 kings dead so far with hundreds of thousands dead and displaced was started and orchestrated by little finger by worming his way into the late and gullible lysa arryns affections, got Jon arryn to investigate the paternity of cercei's brats, find out the truth, poison him dead, blame the lannisters and inform the starks starting a free for all decimating the nobility in the land drastically while scheming his way to the leadership of a region whose forces he kept out of the fray by guile leaving him a strong playing hand while attempting to play his way into power in the north by proxy of sansa and you call him unsuccessful? Define successfulness then! |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by BraniacX(m): 11:47am On Jul 27, 2017 |
Yonce: We don't know how long he's played the game really. His most admirable quality is his ambition to rise to the top despite his low birth. . . .he's always said, Knowledge is Power so I'm not gonna underestimate just how much of the High-borns' secrets he has managed to dig up just to save the info for the future.
I'm not going to brush him off. He could know. First of all, we must agree he had not started playing the game then as at the time of Jon's birth because he was stuck at the fingers after being disgraced and a bloody civil war which raged across the seven kingdoms was just winding up. The wherewithal to dig up on any information only came after gaining a regional appointment which he held for years before being appointed master of coins in kingslanding and this came after his benefactor who was made hand of the king after roberts rebellion was successfuly wrapped up and robert made king was impressed by his turnover from gullstown port, why I'm stating it this way is so you'll understand from the timeline of events that as at the time of Jon's birth, he was only a little better than nobody with very little to his name. And as for digging up info on Jon, why should he and from whom would he? Jon was and still is to all appearances Ned Stark's bastard! There were five successors to Ned stark to the best of his knowledge and even as they whittled down in numbers to one to the best of his knowledge, that one was still ahead of Jon in terms of succession! A mistake both he and tywin lannister both made was to assume that the north would naturally accede to sansa a true stark instead of Jon not knowing that they follow stark values of leadership by example instead which Jon totally embodies so no, he didn't investigate the fully grown Jon because he had no reason to and my circumstantial evidence is the fact that he confessed to Ramsay Bolton about knowing little about him because as a bastard, he felt no need to! And in so doing, he fed a lamb (sansa) to a ravenous monster. And so if he felt little reason to know the adult Jon well, why would he want to know his history apart from the obvious? Let's assume he wants to know, from whom would he find out? Jon's maternity is the best and longest kept secret in westeros and for good reason! If he even asked, Jon's milk nurse at star fall is dead! His milk brother the young dayne squire to lord berric dondarrion said as much and even she didn't know whom Jon's mother was because Ned never discussed it with anyone! Not even cathelyn! So i hope you agree with me that I've successfully busted your little finger knowing Jon's parentage theory. Cheers |

Yonce: Maybe he knows Howland Reed. . . Or one of the nursemaids that attended to Lyanna during labour. I won't put it past him, he's a master player. Littlefinger had not started playing the game back then! I think he was back at the fingers then after being banished by lord holster Tully for his misdemeanor with brandon stark over cathelyn Tully. He wasn't yet appointed a ports officer at gulltown or master of coins at kingslanding. So nope, he had no reason to want to know whether lyanna stark was pregnant talk less of any hypothetical nursemaids. |

Izen: There's a new theory I found on the net guys and it makes a whole lot of sense. If you thought little finger what the cause of the chaos, you made need to have a rethink. I'm beginning to believe that Bran Stark is the problem of their world. He's the 3 eyed-raven right? so he's been around for centuries. He has the ability to travel to the past, present, and future but cannot change any of the events. However he can influence them by making his presence known through whispers. Recall that his dad heard him call? Also recall that Hudor ran mad because of the "hold the door" whispers he heard from the future through Bran. What if all the Targaryen psychos ran mad because of Bran? What if he knew of the apocalyptic end the white walkers could bring from the beginning of time and now decided to warn the kings and red priestesses and yet no one was able to comprehend it? What if the mad kings popular phrase "burn them all" wasn't really sure to paranoia but was instead Bran's instructions for the fight against the dead, but was misinterpreted? That theory has been explored |
