How can Nigeria as a country make progress ? Upon all the pressing needs in Nigeria - unemployment, hunger , power failure, banditry etc that have not been attended to, it's this hiv issue that US said of withdrawing aids just yesterday that they have made provision already because it's a means to loot the nation's treasury. Is this move not encouraging carelessness and promiscuity ? Please Nigerian leaders wake up and put your perspectives right . |
It's true of the banana phobia. I have a friend that has phobia for banana right from when she was two years old. The allergy was much that her mother detected it on time . Now she's 49 years and she doesn't eat banana nor touches it. Even at the sight of it , her body changes. |

Sports betting is digital pool office of those days. Most people that indulged in it amounted to nothing. They lived impoverished life at the detriment of their families. It's addictive and time consuming. I go with the suggestion a nairalander made earlier, that at the end of the year, the summary of what each sport betting player did should be sent to him/her. Let the records speak. That's when you will know that it was a total loss indulging throughout the year with betting. My candid advice is that youths should engage in meaningful activities to make ends meet. Not waiting for easy money. When such easy money comes, because no much efforts put in getting the money and no proper planning for the money, it fades into thin air. Thus, be wise and spend your time JUDICIOUSLY. Bearing in mind that your time here on earth is limited. Make your life count positively for a greater reward at the end. |
I'm in support of the ban but FG should create work for the youths, engage them meaningfully for them to have a legit means of livelihood. Moreover betting/ gambling is addictive. Most youths now can't do without it. It's damaging to their general well being. It makes them lazy and bereft of insight and foresight on life's direction and fulfilment. The victims of betting are always cash trapped and highly in debts. Always optimistic that the next betting will win. Pls the government should proffer solution to this ugly menace. GOD bless Nigeria and it's citizens. |
If you are buoyant enough to cater for the children, then you can leave for your mental health and general well being. Also for him not to polute the psyche of the children. The children seeing his behavior everyday, has adverse effects in their lives in the near future. Some men are very irresponsible. They rush into marriage without maturing (not number) properly to be able to take responsibility. They end up tormenting their wives left, right and center. Be strengthened and leave the house peacefully until he comes to his senses and change for good. Pls if you are reading this, resist any negative habit before you become addicted to it . Addictions ruin lives. A word is enough for the wise. |
The addiction is not explicit but I guess it could be masturbation. If it is, it's usually difficult to break out of it except with strong will to stop it and supernatural intervention. Why because the masturbator derives satisfaction in what he/she's doing and makes the other spouse feel neglected and lonely. My advice is to go on with your dreams, make yourself happy and live a fulfilled life |

People should try and be civil. Let's work on ourselves before pointing accusing fingers to the government. Though the crowd control was poor but being a freewill gesture from the church, they would have comported themselves. The hunger and greed beclouded their reasoning. Now, the tragic occurrence. May we learn from people's mistakes and refuse to repeat such in subsequent events. |
