Good afternoon all,
I really want to have my baby in the US and I'm mid term now. Haven't even started processing anything yet but hoping to start this new week.
For starters, I still have my passport in my maiden name. Is it going to be an issue as I am filing with my husband? Thanks in anticipation.... |

I am only saying that the hospital should carry out a thorough investigation. I wish the law enforcements would pick interest too, with or without the family's consent to investigate.
That is what is done in sane societies. Every death is treated as suspicious as long as it wasn't due to natural causes.
This woman was very small and petite. She could have been pushed down that building.
You don't just rule something a suicide just because a woman turned up dead on the sidewalk. Irrespective of her medical history and old cuts to the wrists! On her wedding day, she wore an armless gown. She definitely didn't have any cuts then.... |

dalu: Just spoke with her unit members.. It seems it's confirmed that it's a suicide.. The family reached out in support to the husband and confirmed the previous history of depression and won't be taking anything up.. Boys heading to her home in ajao estate.. End Does the family have to take things up before its taken up?? In civilized societies, suspicious injuries are investigated thoroughly. Na wa oooo. |

BUT I AM ONLY HERE TO TELL YOU GUYS THAT HER HUSBAND HAS NEVER BEATEN HER AND HER HUSBAND IS NOT THE ONE THAT KILLED HER. ALL THE PEOPLE SAYING THE HUSBAND BEATS HER REGULARLY ARE LIES. THE HUSBAND IS A VERY GENTLE AND EASY GOING PERSON.....DR HESTIA STILL VISITED ME ABOUT 2MONTHS AGO AND I VISIT HER AND PLAY WITH HER CHILDREN REGULARLY. I KNOW THE HUSBAND VERY WELL TOO ...THEY ARE BOTH VERY COOL HEADED AND EASY GOING.ALL I WILL SAY FOR NOW IS THAT ...THE HUSBAND DID NOT KILL HER.
DR HESTIA'S MUM KNOWS HER DAUGHTER WELL AND SHE KNOWS THE HISTORY OF HER DAUGHTER WITH DEPRESSION AND SUCIDAL THOTS. ETC......GO AND ASK HER MUM ABOUT HER CHILD. THEN YOU WILL ALL KNOW THAT HER DEATH IS NOT A RESULT OF ANYTHING FROM HER HUSBAND AT ALL. Thou doth protest much... Suspicious! |

Rubbish! Who told you that she didn't love the man? Or she chose him because of his status? |

dalu: No it's not a well known fact.. Hestia worked with me for years.. She came in in a pool of blood with a nylon bag over her head face smashed in chest and arms fractured.. Husband told us she had a history of depression and suicidal attempts and that her family know this.. For now we are working with that.. The family may or may not confirm this.. She's had a full body scan post mortem and is in the morgue.. Please don't speculate and cause unnecessary pain to her 2 kids So she smashed in her own face and chest, then fractured both arms by herself. Doc, just listen to yourself. N.B-People who commit suicide do it in a fast, clean painless way i.e, a shot to the head, a jump from the bridge, running in front of a moving car, etcetera. If she committed suicide, what was the weapon used. No suicide note for her husband and kids? Kindly note I say all these respectfully. Just that I'm hurt at the demise of this woman.... |

You will be apraise when you are performing but when you make a single mistake, one might be sack. I have 6 years experience in banking industry. The connected ones will be getting promoted while the hardworking ones will be working for them. Let me rest my case here so that I won't expose many banking secret. How did you get the fed job, if I may ask. Did you get it through any of your connections in the banking industry? |

lastpage: I agree with you but l think the loan is being restricted to Middle/top level Mgt ... which is very unfair!
What l am saying is this: There will be situations where a Bank wants to retrench workers. Let say one of these workers have spent three years and his/her severance package is worth #1mill but he has taken a loan of #3Mill. The best they can do is to hold-on to his severance package but since they are the ones letting him go, where would they get the remaining 2Mill? In such situations (and l have seen a few), the bank will postpone that staff for "future" retrenchment knowing that they would suffer a 'huge' loss if they include that staff in the exercise or write it off. They have to make a choice, its their move. .... except in case of gross 'criminal' misbehaviour in which case the staff can be open to criminal prosecutions.
Lastpage! Management has since learnt to curb that style by stopping staff loans. I've not heard of a tsunamied staff getting severance. I think at most they might get a month's pay. In fact, they tsunami right before the quarterly upfront payment. What happens though is that the sacked staff doesn't repay back the rent advance balance and the medical off the shelf allowance that was collected beginning of the year. Which a staff that wants to resign would have to pay back.... |

govefeoghene: To be frank, marketing department of banks are the most challenging section to work as most times it requires luck and grace to meet targets. When you have many banks selling same service with little variations which might appear insignificant to customers while making decisions. In most cases, marketing gets successful with referral, proximity of the bank to customers and the level of attention paid customers. I remember my days back then, that was the tool I used in winning many customers.... I told them you can assess anybody within banking hours and you get adequate attention as much as you seeked. They tried it and twas true... The next thing was my customers referring me to others and doing the marketing on my behalf. My own was just to open accounts or accept deposit. I always met targets. What was the totality of your target like? |

isobayor: Well, I worked in the banking sector for 6 years. specifically with defunct Bank PHB(Now keystone bank) and Stanbic IBTC Bank. I worked in ban banking operations for 5 years at different time Customer service person, Fund transfer Officer, Cash Officer, ATM custodian and my last 1 year in the sector was at the head office`s global market unit. While I was there, I have seen myself not going to be in that sector for long, therefore all my income was to develop myself academically and skill acquisition. Eventually, I became Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Practitioner while I was still in the sector. It was after this my achievements I experienced the greatest disappointment and frustration as several interview I attended always being turned down simply because they believe I don't really have good working experience being a banker.Everyone believe the banking experience is dogmatic and therefore I was not employable being an accountant by profession. Thanks to almighty God that I eventually broke the jinx and now working as a senior accountant with a top rated manufacturing company in the country. My advice to everyone is that ,don just stay too long in the sector no matter what your profession is. Always see the sector as a ladder to another opportunities. That's nice. How long would you define as too long to remain in banking. |

scobaba: I was sacked then by oceanic bank on Dec 21st 2009. It was the first tsunami. I felt like i would die. Like all hope was lost. But then i picked myself up, wrote a couple of professional exams including ican. Also enrolled for masters. Life was not easy then i must tell you. But i had tym to try several tyns same tym. 6 months after i lost dat, i got a small job dat still gave me time to run all my programmes comfortably. However, i dint have spare money for grooves and chicks like i did then in oceanic.
Finally in 2013, i landed my current job( oil and gas). There was an advert for chatered accountant. I apllied and got it. Tuday, i don hammer........ Small.
My advice. If u r not business inclined, dat is if u still hope to work for somebody, whiile you are doin your bank job, upgrade yourself academically, it wunt be easy oo, but it will pay you someday when the chips are down. Best of staff have lost thier job in banking, so no superstar i must tell you. I think the bankers of your era (05-09) were the ones who really enjoyed banking. They were not overworked, and money was so surplus. That was before the credit crunch, right? Its not easy doing the degrees alongside banking. One has to give way for the other. To get sick leave now self is not a joke as some bankers would rather die than take a sick leave(pun intended). Not to talk of study leave.... |

Working as a marketer at the bank was the most depressing, demeaning and frustrating experience I've ever had.
Today, I look back and think, "Why didn't I leave sooner?". Now I have peace of mind and in a job I absolutely enjoy when compared to the bank job and family life has never been better.
Once I was blind, now I can see! Did you get your new job before leaving the banking industry? Or after leaving. Did you get promoted in that 5 years you were in marketing? |

cana882: Currently at workforce 4 a bank interview & trust me, all dis comments are nt helping.
Mayb i'll jst go home Nahhhh. Don't! Workforce is contract ops, if I'm not mistaken. As contract staff, you don't have to attend to ATMs or balance the bulk cash. You do your normal deposit, withdrawal, transfers, etc and you balance at the end of the day. Once done, you wait for bulk room to balance, then you go home. Maybe I've oversimplified things o. But contract staffs don't have access to a lot of the nitty-gritty in ops. For security reasons. |
