The truth is that in laws especially from the male side like dishing out medicine which they themselves cannot swallow. Why did your mum not respond to her mum's greetings in the first place? What did the woman do to deserve such shoddy treatment? Has your mum apologised for her gaffe? Abi the woman doesn't deserve an apology because she is the bride's mum and not the groom's mum? That was how my hubby was being advised not to allow me go home frequently few days to our wedding. That a long time should elapse before he allows it. Now coupled with my busy job, I dont have the free time to visit his folks or mine. So MIL is complaining that I haven't been to see her since my wedding. I wonder if they ever thought of the fact that my parents too would miss me when they were busy advising me hubby to put a wedge between my family and I. 1 Like |

dazzle101: I dey tell you. So many people don't know what it entails working in a bank. I have experience in banking (as a full staff) and I have my MSc which I was rounding off when I got the job. For my final exam, I had to take a drastic step which could have resulted in me losing the job as they were proving stubborn in giving me 5 days off. But I didn't care at that point because I know I had tried for my employers, working 7 to 9 most days, and working most weekends too. It was time to think of me. 1 Like |

Career / Re: Am About To Resign Because Of My Boss Wickedness, harrassments And Embarassments! by Breadfruit: 1:08pm On Jan 15, 2016 |
Everybody says: don't leave, don't leave. Because of the Nigerian situation, don't leave. Won't he survive if he is no longer there? Is it until he slumps at work before he will know there are some battles meant to walk away from? Fear only keeps one in slavery. If he has enough to survive on for a while, there's nothing wrong in walking away. It takes a great deal of courage to walk! God help us.... 55 Likes 3 Shares |

I think you should blow the whistle on this boss. Most of the time, we swallow shiit because we don't know our rights. It happened to me too and I feel sad whenever I think about the fact that I swallowed so much, while those who were politicians and the managers' pets were not doing any work. Meanwhile I was drowning in work, working 7 days a week and working all my waking hours. What he is doing is against policy and you should get proof and use it against him. 17 Likes 1 Share |

I wouldn't advise any lady to do that. Especially with the way guys claim to be single on Facebook. You only publicly claim a man that claims you publicly. Even then, the man should flaunt the relationship more.... |

dere5: Thanks. I've been reading the part 1 thread bit by bit and I am learning quite a lot. I'm beginning to note that those agents don't know it all as the agent is even insisting I go for a change of name and change of passport before any other thing. When even before coming here I knew the whites do not count all those things the way we do here....And I did the passport just December last year and I've used it once. 1 Like |
