If your link is from Boboi, then be prayerful because there are tendency of Mr. Presiddnt elevating him . There are also tendency of no one talking about him anymore, his time is gone for good. 50|50.

If your connect is from the Presidency, then don't be undaunted, their will be plenty of opportunity in the oil and gas industry as other new agency will be created. All you need do is to get the information at the right time and continue to talk to your connect in as much as he is still in the Villa, so don't feel bad about PEF or DPR changes.

Over 20 old staff accepted the exit package policy and resigned. There was an open window to voluntarily retire, collect your millions as exit package and BOUNCE OUT OF PEF and over 20 staffs embrace the opportunity to plan their private lifestyle.

Before the massive resignation in PEF, vacancies for senior cadre was in appreciative or good numbers even at their state and head office.

One new staff also resigned recently as a result of corruption he percieved during their union election, ES actually notified the father before accepting the resignation letter, the boy father said, that's how his son is, he hate corruption in any system and no one can convince him otherwise. He left..

PEF is standing alone without merging with PPPRA. there are reasons why they are not merging with any agency and the reasons will be unveil to Nigerians shortly.

PEF will be solely incharge of both MIDSTREAM & DOWNSTREAM. PPPRA will merge with DPR to form the UPSTREAM COMMISSION.

2nd batch has defer a result of the ongoing reform in the O&G industry. Names are well compiled in their data base. PEF is virtually taking over the duty of DPR.

DPR has over 2000 staff strength currently regulating both the mid & downstream industry, PEF can't survive the huge task ahead of them with their less than 600 staff strength.

This is the best time for any one to locate a connect and lobby for it. There's nothing GOD can't do for you, just think about it.

I agree with you to some extend but DPR will not merge with PEF and PPPRA, not at all. That's not what it's contain in the BILL.

DPR will stand on its own and be solely called THE COMMISSION and PEF and PPPRA will also stand on it own and be called "THE AUTHORITY. They are two diferent entities with seperate structures. This is the reason delaying PEF hopeful. Meeting upon meetings on this matter of merging with PPPRA.

PEF list would've been released since monday 26th but the technicalities of merging with PPRA is a very big issue coursing delay in the recruitment.

Consultants are currently working so hard on the reasons why PEF should stay aloft without merging with PPPRA and it will be published in public domain soon.

I initially thought the merging (PIB) won't affect the PEF list but I now know better after much explanations to me. there's a clause in that bill coursing delay so if PEF give you letter without ractification and harmonization with PPPRA on the need not to merge, then there will be issues and trust me, you wont like any technical issues to arrise after collecting APL.

Meetings upon meetings has been called on this subject matter but it will soon be over and possibly people will be called immediately.

DPR will be Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (COMMISSION), it will regulate upstream regualery operations including technical, operational and commercial activities of the Oil & Gas industry.

The COMMISSION (DPR) will also review the recommendation of government ministries, department and agencies and communicate decision accordingly, such decision will be complied by the relivent government ministries and agencies.

The Authority on the other hand shall be responsible for the commercial and technical regulation of the midstream and downstream petroleum operations in the industry.

The Authority will also promote the supply and distribution of natural gas and petroleum products in the midstream and downstream and the security of natural gas supply for the domestic gas market.

But in all of these, the DPR will be the chief host of both the Authority & Commission in terms policy supervision, this is where I totally agree with you. DPR will ensure compliance with all applicable laws governing both the upstream, midstream and downstream operations and the Authority shall also comply with DPR directives. As PEF hopefuls are you, i felt it will beneficial to you in knowing these little technicalities.
