The sentencing of Simon Ekpa to six years in prison marks a dramatic turning point in Nigeria’s fight against violent agitation. Once a loud voice fueling unrest from abroad, Ekpa now faces the weight of justice. But the bigger question lingers — has this conviction finally crippled the machinery of terror, or will his followers regroup and push the struggle into even darker territory?
When a country and a certain people major on the minor and minor on the major, these are questions that will be asked, do you know that if Tinubu and Shettima are arrested today and jailed for their crimes, insecurity will reduce in Nigeria... but on another side the 2 people the same country is focusing with all their might like they are the whole problem of insecurity in Nigeria are both in jail.
The question like you asked, has insecurity reduced in Nigeria as a whole?
9jatriot: I will not pretend to have access to events in the security cycles, but I know these threads have all shown various progress in the area of security, is El Rufai saying that all these kingpins that have been killed were paid to be killed or they did not happen?
The only settlements I have seen n recent times were done by local communities and the Katstina State government, has there been anytime the DSS paid bandits?
Something somewhere is wrong. El Rufia does not seem happy about the leaders of various groups being killed.
Do you know if we are to count the number of threads based on insecurity that has happened in Nigeria within the same period of the one you posted here it may be x10 in number, ask yourself if that should be the case. The problem with you guys is that you people throw common sense and logic away when supporting Tinubu...
Peacemaker5128: Gidgiddy We missed the pictures of empty streets during the Monday sit at home
Onyiiobi7735: The incarceration of the criminal is a long awaited relief for the SE,but the sentence is too short. The Finnish government should have given him 15 to 20 years. If it were in the US,the crook would have facing a long stay behind prison walls.
Peterobiisathie: they thought he was a politician because of his land cruiser and policeman attached to him
zoedew: It calls for serious introspection on the subject matter the sit-at-home. The Igbo were led by the nose. One outcome of the sit-at-home that pained me the most was the killing of the husband of the former NAFDAC boss who was himself an outstanding private medical doctor on the streets of the South-East.
helinues: No..The approval of SEDC made the sit at home to stop.
The boys doing the forced sit at home are eventually sidelined hence Gentle the Yahoo still operating.
Kanu still incarcerated is also part of the success stopping of sit at home as those who used him are not interested in having him out
So you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is to lament to your Igbo gods like morning prayers, so someone will wake up 5am in the morning and the first thing he can think of and talk about is Igbo like they are your gods.
Omo, if you are paid to do this I might cut you some slack because you are only working for your money, though in a dirty way but if your are not paid then you are mentally unstable(sorry to say).
Maybe if you guys talk about insecurity and bad leadership in general happening all over the country the way you guys focus on Igbos and their matter, maybe just maybe the mentally unstable man you people enthroned in Aso rock will sit up and start doing his work...
Now it seems like Tinubu is only president of the south east because that is only were he shows his military concern even his supporters are not bothered about if their own domain is in chaos, all they care about is south east, condolences to the bereaved and may the souls of those who died rest in peace, and may lasting peace be restored all over Nigeria...
Hotfreezing: There is no bragging o. As it is in Zamfara, so it is in Alaigbo.
It's only communities paying ransom to bandits that Gentle the Yahoo hasn't learnt and I believe he's a fast learner. By December, he should have learnt it to welcome his supporters coming into Alaigbo for Xmas.
So you are happy and praying for him to be like the ones in Zamfara?
Hotfreezing: But you were blaming the FG na. You are more interested in passing blames than condemning the culprits.
Yes because the government is supposed to be teaching the citizens how to be responsible, if police officers who are supposed to be role models for good behaviour are competing with the worst set of citizens in bad behaviour then it shows the rot that has taken place in governance especially the one headed by Tinubu now
givedemwotowoto: The only way I can logically explain what happened in Rivers in the recent LG elections is that people voted from their smartphones at home, or called their PU agents on phone to vote for them.
How else can you explain very low turnout as captured by election observers, yet the highest votes recorded in Rivers Election history?
That's what they are planning in 2027, Nigerians should just get ready...
Hotfreezing: They are saving Igbo kids from entering into the hands of Gentle the Yahoo.
Why haven't they saved northern kids that are causing havoc all over the country or south west kids that are doing agbero for Tinubu, is that how much they love Igbo kids?
epainos: Read the bolded part. I don't attack people, but you keep using that word. Here are things I said:
1. Obi invested in Pandora. Obi was insulted by many of you when he was a governor, but now, he is your savior. He did not do well as a governor.
2. Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku are not fit to rule Nigeria.
3. Ngozi Iweala (alive), Dora Akiyilu(late), Gani Fawehinmi (late) are/were the people qualified to rule us.
So, Tinubu is the leader of the present government. Did you not read number two? It is a fact that I wrote. Concerning Obi, number 2 covers number 1. So what is your problem? Do you want me to be cursing Tinub, or start attacking him the way Reno Omokri did in the past before you understand simple things. If you do it, good luck to you.
So, I said before...I don't understand what most of you see in Peter Obi now that he is fit to rule Nigeria, but when he was ruling Anamber he was a useless governor to them.
If you still don't understand me, then, you are a real Obidient who only want to attack people. Now, you are attacking me.
Like I said earlier, you have been attacking Peter Obi and calling him a fraud, show me just 3 of your attacks on Tinubu like you have been doing to Peter Obi to prove you are not biased in your attacks, since you claim they are both unfit to rule.
helinues: Stop crying about the presidency. This thread is about the state governors.
What's this obsession with the presidency self?
You are the one who brought in the president into the matter, why the obsession trying to put the responsibility of the president on the state governors?
helinues: The states with the largest share, can they show us what they have tangibly done with the funds?
Nigerians mostly channel their energies on the presidency while over looking the state governors who have been behaving anyhow
Because the president is their coach, when almost all players in a team are playing badly you have to focus on the coach, normal logic but you guys flip logic on its head and throw reasoning away...
epainos: I don't have your time at all. All you want is an Igbo to rule Nigeria even that Igbo has proven to be not capable. Someone who had a useless track as a governor. A pandora governor. You should make the research very well yourself and see for yourself what I also.said about Soludo. If Soludo comes forward tomorrow to say I am for the Aso Rock job, I will pick him 10 times before your Obi. Did I not mention two Igbo women who can do the job now? And did I not mention that Atiku and Tinubu aren't able to fo the job in my immediate last comment on your post? So, what exactly do you want? For me to attack Tinubu, buhari before you accept that I am.focused.
Must I pick among them? So cos you have not read my posts attacking Tinubu means I support him? Are you OK? In your world, you must attack those who you don't agree with. Right? Just listen to yourself. Many keeps telling you that Obedients like you are the reason they just go wild against Obi, and you guys have not reason it out that your obsessions and wrong ways of supporting this man is why people change to attack you. I won't you cos of this. I will only educate you, and if you see it as attacking you and Obi...goodluck. So, I must attack Tinubu and Buhari before you accept I don't support them. Right? Even after writing that they are not all fit to rule Nigeria. Can you hear yourself. So, you think I must insult, attack, abuse, curse them because you do it and you feel it is the right way? You need help bro.
You will not accept before you don't know the meaning of being focused. Your Obi destroyed Anambra. In 2012 while he was there, most of you insulted him, but cos you feel you just want an Igbo there, you allowed Stockholm Symdrome to overshadow you.
At this junction, I wish you well. I don't attack people, I only say the fact.
Wow, you see why I asked you that question, because I saw through your hypocrisy, so you are attacking a man who is not in government anymore and you have never attacked a man who is currently in government currently causing damage to Nigeria with his office but you want me to believe that you are neutral to both of them.
That is like criticizing a player who is on bench for not playing well in a match his team is losing and leaving the striker who is fumbling on the field and losing opportunities to score goals...
Does that even make sense to you ? You see why I don't see a lot of you who attack Peter Obi and leave Tinubu as mentally ok.
That's why I can't take anything you are saying here seriously because it comes from a biased mind filled so much hate for a particular tribe not just Peter Obi and if you respond to me I will tell you why in my next response...
Eraddray: there's wide difference between switching Allegiance and terrorism
Same way there is a difference between love and hate... you guys don't seem to understand the damage you people have done to Nigeria and still doing because of ethnic supremacy...
epainos: If you can support those people, your standard is low. How can I support people that are looting qhat should be for us to enjoy. Don't you really get it?
I don't attack. I say the truth, and I move on. The truth is that both Obi and Atiku cannot do more than what Tinubu is doing. This is the truth. They are all not good enough to rule Nigeria. Non of them can make Nigeria better.
I read some people saying Akin Adeshina can be a good president. I will not want to accept it cos he will compromise with these people he will deal with. They will not allow him.
Will Sowore be a good president? I dont know. Though, he will try very hard to fight corruption which might be good for us.
Three people I know that could rule Nigeria with all honesty, and two are dead:
1. Akiluyi - former nafdac director. That iron woman. For her to fight those cabals there, she will fight Nigerian cabals to a still. She has it. 2. Ngozi Iweala - she will face serious opposition, but she will not want anyone to stain her reputation. The bar is too high for her to mess up after leading WTO. This will push her to fight corruption to still. If not for this reason, I won't put her in this category. 3. Gani Fawehinmi. This man would fight with his last breath if he was still alive.
I used to vouch for Buhari, but his weaknesses were: an extremist religious person, and not being literate enough. Buhari went to school, but he was not that brilliant. I feel he was too lazy to try to understand economics, international relations, and banking. It's why he didn't check his ministers well, and he relied too much on Abba Kyari, his late chief of staff. Buhari knowing he had a brilliant vice president was afraid to not allow his vice expose him. I believe he regretted allowing Tunde Idiagbon (his vice during the military regime) expose his weakness then.
Show me at least 3 of your past post attacking Tinubu the way you attack Peter obi to prove you are not biased in your attacks on Peter Obi
One of the attributes of a bad manager is no amount of money is ever enough for him to do his job, that's Tinubu for you, always looking for more money doing nothing while destroying what he met on ground...
Those are the 2 people they are most scared of, can your opponent be telling you which player to use as striker like they love you too much for you to win them?
Because you will be waiting there to fight him like you have done to other presidential candidates, now you can't even come out for president under PDP neither can you support any candidate PDP brings out because of your greed, it's obvious Peter Obi is not problem of PDP's problem but you are the problem to yourself and PDP.
epainos: You this man. Very shameful. How did you arrive the conclusion that I support Wike or Tinubu? In the name of defending your mentor who is filled with rage, lies, propaganda, etc....you can go at any length to force your will on others. This mentee is filled with rage and lies just like his master. He came before with Wike, and now Tinubu. So after this, who else will you label as the one I am supporting? Amaechi, Fayemi, Gandollar, Aregbesola, etc. Go on...start picking them. Very disgusting mentee.
Here is another mentee. Number on this forum. The same approach by all the mentees. It means it is exactly this strategy ElRufai has taught you all. To lie that anyone who goes against your mentor supports other corrupt politicians. What a pity!
If you are not supporting anybody what then are you doing here? to fight everybody abi?
