PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Himself Invited Nigerians To "Go And Verify." Fair . Let Us Verify! by Brendaniel: 12:20pm On Jun 15
CharlesCNG:
Thank you for confirming, once again, the dangerous moral superiority complex that afflicts a section of the Obidient movement.

Apparently, everyone who questions Peter Obi is evil.

Everyone who disagrees with Peter Obi is satanic.

Everyone who points to inconvenient facts is a paid agent.

Everyone who refuses to worship at the altar of the New Nigeria is corrupt.

And yet, despite all this righteousness, not one of you has answered a simple question:

**By what objective parameters was Peter Obi's governorship a success?**

Infrastructure?

Which landmark projects?

IGR growth?

Obiano outperformed him.

Industrialization?

Which industries?

Security?

Kidnappings and robberies existed under his watch.

Job creation?

Where are the numbers?

Human capital development?

Compared with whom?

I listed specific issues under "Go and Verify."

As usual, there is no response.

No figures.

No data.

No comparisons.

No evidence.

Just sermons.

Just demons.

Just accusations.

This is what fascinates me about a section of the Obidient movement.

When facts fail them, theology begins.

When evidence disappears, morality enters.

When arguments collapse, Satan appears.

But politics is not deliverance ministry.

Peter Obi is not the Messiah.

He is a politician.

And politicians are evaluated by measurable outcomes, not by the intensity of their followers' emotions.

So I ask again:

**By what parameters?**

Not by feelings.

Not by slogans.

Not by prophecies.

Not by exorcisms.

By what measurable parameters?
Everything you have been posting on nairaland since has just been from mouth, you don't post evidence to your claims like I have done, post links, post data, show workings, one thing I know you Tinubu supporters hate is data and evidence, everything is mouth because you guys lie a lot like Tinubu...

I know it is not all Yoruba people who are in support of what is going on and what Tinubu is doing, but when you have quite a number who either are indifferent, condone or support what is going on then it rubs off on the entire tribe, same thing with the drug issue and Igbo people, it is rubbing off on the whole tribe, reason why I keep advocating for the south east state governments to start rolling out programs to curb the issue, so don't think I am just trying to be biased with my comments.

That is an Ibo person masquerading as a Yoruba person. Make una get sense abeg.
Why I don't believe is because of the quietness and diversion of blame coming for many Yoruba people concerning the atrocities of the Fulanis across the south west, I mean, sincerely ask yourself, if these crimes were committed by the Igbo people in Yoruba land, would this be the reaction of the Yoruba people?

Secondly, why is Tinubu who is a Yoruba man not bothered and he still has many of his tribesmen who are not benefiting anything from him supporting him for second term despite the killings going on.

So tell me why I should believe otherwise that that the statement there is from an Igbo man and not a Yoruba man?
PoliticsRe: "Just Because It's Not Your Turn Doesn't Mean You're Safe" – Abuja Protester by Brendaniel: 8:53am On Jun 15
Well, some are not bothered, as long as they believe they are teaching a certain people lesson, they are willing to die and even sacrifice their family and tribesmen to ensure the stats quo remains, as for me, my family and those who want good for the people of Nigeria, We are all safe under the grace and protection of the almighty God.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Himself Invited Nigerians To "Go And Verify." Fair . Let Us Verify! by Brendaniel: 6:52am On Jun 15
CharlesCNG:
One of the greatest myths repeated by Obidients is that Peter Obi campaigned on issues while his opponents only attacked his person, family, and tribe.

History says otherwise.

Peter Obi himself invited Nigerians to "go and verify." Fair enough. Let us verify.

Verification Number One: Internally Generated Revenue

Peter Obi left office in 2014.

The obvious question is this: if his economic management was so revolutionary, why did Anambra's IGR experience significantly greater growth under Willie Obiano and continue to rise under Soludo?

Shouldn't a transformational governor leave behind a revenue-generating structure that speaks for itself?

Why are his supporters constantly talking about bank balances instead of wealth creation?

Governments are not savings accounts.

Governments exist to create assets, infrastructure, institutions and economic expansion.

Verification Number Two: Landmark Infrastructure

Peter Obi governed for eight years.

Can his supporters identify one landmark infrastructure project in Anambra comparable to what Nigerians typically associate with transformational governors?

One airport?

One signature bridge?

One major industrial cluster?

One flagship road project?

One landmark institution?

Why is his legacy reduced largely to claims of prudence and money left in the treasury?

Savings are not development.

No country has ever developed by simply keeping money in the bank.

Verification Number Three: Security

Obidients often weaponise insecurity under Tinubu.

Fine.

But was Anambra under Peter Obi a paradise?

Did kidnapping disappear?

Did criminality vanish?

Did armed robbery cease?

Security challenges existed then as they exist now.

No governor and no president should be judged by isolated incidents alone.

The standard must be solutions, not emotional exploitation.

Verification Number Four: The People Who Actually Lived There

Interestingly, many of the loudest critics of Peter Obi's governorship are not Yorubas or Tinubu supporters.

They are Anambra people themselves.

Long before 2023, social media was full of Anambra residents questioning his infrastructure record and comparing his stewardship with that of previous and subsequent administrations.

Suddenly, after 2022, a carefully constructed mythology emerged in which Peter Obi became a superhuman governor whose tenure could not be questioned.

History does not work that way.

Verification Number Five: "Go and Verify" Is Not a Shield

The phrase "go and verify" does not mean "do not question."

In fact, verification means asking difficult questions.

If Peter Obi wants Nigerians to verify his record, then Nigerians are entitled to ask:

* Why was Anambra's economic expansion more visible after him?
* Why are his supporters unable to point to landmark infrastructure?
* Why is his greatest achievement always described as money saved rather than prosperity created?
* Why should an eight-year governorship without unmistakable transformational projects qualify someone for the presidency?

These are not attacks.

These are questions.

And anyone seeking the highest office in the land must answer questions.

The Greatest Irony

Obidients accuse others of attacking Peter Obi personally.

Yet the moment anyone scrutinises his record, they cry tribalism, hatred, and persecution.

No.

Peter Obi asked Nigerians to verify.

Some of us simply took him seriously.

And what we found raises more questions than answers.

Perhaps the most uncomfortable possibility is this:

Peter Obi's greatest political asset is not his record.

It is the mythology built around his record.

And mythology, however inspiring, is not a substitute for measurable achievements.

Because nations are governed by facts, not folklore.
Even the devil has supporters who call good people evil and evil people good..

And is this how calm Yoruba people will be?

Let's be sincere with ourselves, A mere unverified statement: Lagos is no man's land and violence was unleashed on the Igbos, now it is the Fulani doing far worse and everywhere is quiet, I bet if Gumi was an Igbo man and his tribe has committed all these atrocities, this is not what you people will say, and your people would have warned him to stay away from the south west...

That's because Tinubu has never planned to stop the Fulani invasion, it has never been in his plan, if you can for once show me one single report of Tinubu condemning Fulani killings in Nigeria since 2015, I will apologize to you...

Tinubu is ready to sacrifice the whole Nigeria for his ambition, how you people can't see it or totally ignore it is what makes me give up on the unity of Nigeria with the south west because it clearly shows that tribalism is more important to you people than the well being of Nigeria...

Someone who openly said he supported a president who allowed Fulanis to kill his own people for 8 years just so that he can become president, would any person in his right senses believe that such person will come and fight those he had a compromise with?

This is common logic now, someone who was supposed to be stoned after making such a statement was cheered by his own people as a master strategist for playing politics with their lives, doesn't it speak volume on the type of dangerous ideology you people carry?

Then you claim that Peter Obi will not be able to stop the killings, that is a very big lie, because that is the very reason why the northern Fulanis don't want him there and people like you in the south west don't want an Igbo president, so looking at it, it is still the south west and the Islamic north that does not want an Igbo man to be president for the same reason I have been shouting here( tribal and religious supremacy)

They know once an Igbo man gets there, all these nonsense will end because Igbos will not tolerate it like you people are doing...

Thirdly you talked about restructuring, you people are there with the power and they are killing your people anyhow, why are you people not doing the restructuring if you people really believe that is the solution?

Which of your lawmakers have raised it as a concern now that you people are in power and they are killing your people anyhow?

Is that how valueless you people's lives are to each other?

go to the links below and be sincere with yourself with everything I have been telling you, you people's ideology and that of the Islamic north is one of the biggest problems of Nigeria today, when you see comments like the ones in the screenshots below, you know there is a very big problem in Nigeria with the Islamic northern ideology and that of the south west, how can Nigeria become a nation with such dangerous ideologies?

The same reason is why many Igbos love Peter Obi/Nnamdi Kanu and Fulani/Hausa love Buhari. Nigeria is a tribal society and has always been. Everybody loves their own.

Fulani are killing all over West Africa, including the South East, but that hasn't stopped PO from joining a Fulani-controlled party, ADC. The Igbos will do business with any group if it serve their interest.
Seems like you like twisting issues...
Is OBJ not a fellow Yoruba man like Tinubu, why do you people love Tinubu more than OBJ even though Tinubu has done more evil to you people?

Secondly, you claim Fulanis are killing people all over west Africa, I have just 2 questions for you.

1. Why are you people not reacting to the Fulanis when they kill your people including your kings like the way you people react on a mere statement(Lagos is no man's land) by the Igbos?

2. If Fulanis are killing other tribes in Nigeria, what then did Tinubu become president for the Yoruba people, if he wasn't going there to protect his own people or even stop the killings in Nigeria by the Fulanis, what then did he become president for? Even if he doesn't value other tribes lives, is that how valueless his own tribesmen lives are to him?

Thirdly, We are supporting Obi to get there to stop this killings you people are allowing by the Fulanis even on your own lives, if Obi gets there and doesn't stop it especially on Igbo land, Igbos will be the first to start fighting him, his house will likely be burnt in his hometown, that is the difference between we and you people, we are not obsessed for power to the extent we will be sacrificing our lives just to have our brother as president or have partnership with the north.

That is the dangerous ideology that you people have that is destroying but yourselves and Nigeria, that is why somebody like Tinubu can emerge from amongst you people and still have support from your people despite the evils he has done and still doing to both you people and the entire Nigeria.

The question you should be asking is why many Yoruba [people love Tinubu more than OBJ despite OBJ doing more for Nigeria than Tinubu and Tinubu doing more evil to Yoruba people than OBJ...

The answer to the question above is the reason Yoruba people are being dragged into what Tinubu is doing...

Secondly, so you are admitting that the north will be against regional government, so why are the Yoruba people not even trying to get regional government under Tinubu and see if the Igbos will not join them in support, are you people afraid of the north?

Thirdly, you claim your people are ruling over my people, at what cost?

Fulani killing and your raping your women. killing your kings and beheading your men?

Out of school doesn't necessarily mean terrorism. The founder of boko haram was well educated, and majority of iswap members are from across Africa including Mali, Niger, Chad, and Senegal. Some of the bandits are not fulani: we've seen igbos, yoruba, igala, hausa, berom, muslims and Christians all committing the crime. They're opportunistic criminals, not religious ideologues.

You've not explained the religious and tribal make-up of the kidnappers of the former minister's family.

Or how Ansaru members are mostly from Kogi and Kwara.
You seem to only be focused on the kidnapping issue, it goes way beyond that, for instance, the south east has the lowest out of school children in Nigeria, in 2026 alone the south east has the lowest terrorist activity rate, it's not coincidence...

I'm not here to insult Islam because UAE and Saudi Arabia has shown that you can practice Islam with little to no terrorism involved, but the brand of Islam the Islamic north is practicing is a backward type, it breeds terrorism...

While the type of tribalism the south west plays in Nigeria enables, condoles and supports the terrorism all in a bid to achieve supremacy...
