The state governor also had the powers to convene a judiciary inquiry into the activities of SARS and also to set up a seperate judiciary watchdog on the activities going on in Awkuzu SARS.

The state government had the powers to swear in and deploy Ombudsman officials drawn from civil society groups to conduct an independent investigative report which will be submitted to the State minister of justice and handed to the Prosecutor's office for further action.
