Politics / Re: Samuel Akintola's 110th Posthumous Birthday Is Today by Brigadier66: 9:03pm On Jul 06, 2020
We Yoruba should eschew bitterness over our modern day political leaders. Both of them collectively took us to enviable heights.

Did you know Awolowo's administrative ingenuity is second to none? Yet, he was politically naive by believing he could work with NCNC a party that destroyed Nigeria's Federation through its selfish leaders by forming an alliance with the NPC just to dump NPC and formed alliance with Awolowo's AG. Yet, when the 1964 election was over the NcNC saw nothing wrong in leaving AG In opposition to serve their masters the NPC in coalition.

The e rats with little education have been spewing trash on Awolowo who played a major role in their survival during the war their Casanova leader brought on them. Awolowo granted an interview in 1983 Where he stated his roles on those crises period. Did Azikiwe or Casanova disproof him? No,they could not because facts and truth are incontrovertible.

As for Akintola he was a pragmatic leader whose prophecy that you can not dine with the chameleonic NCNC without being scammed has been vindicated.Though his rigging of election was a sore point I think he should be forgiven he followed Awolowo's template by finishing many of the development programmes.

Naptu 2, many thanks for your brilliant and analytical presentations.

Please, can you provide me with a site where I can download the previous matches of the Super Eagles of the early 80's?.

I will be most appreciative.
Politics / Re: Top 10 Africa's Most Populous Ethnic Groups. Yoruba is number 3 by Brigadier66: 8:39am On May 30, 2020
most of these comments on populations of African ethnic groups may be difficult to determine because of the fraudulent activities usually associated with it. However the 1979 Elections in which over 90 per cent Igbo and Yoruba voted N.P.P and U.P.N respectively we all saw the outcome.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo's 4.9 million votes doubled Dr.Nnamdi Azikiwe's 2.2 million votes.Check voting patterns across the states.

The election was conducted by the military.

One is constrained to reply these Igbo who have hatred ingrained in their DNA I wonder how comfortable they are wishing Azikiwe to rule the West after his party Ncnc lost the 1951 Regional Election?Awolowo achievements are still benefiting every Nigerian including the arch enemies wherever they are his free education drove Igbo to move into Yoruba West. What of Ikeja,Ilupeju,Apapa-Oshodi Industrial Estates who built these places? Awolowo was/is awesome your hatred cannot diminish his greatness. What are the legacy of Azikiwe & Okpara? Awolowo remain a yard stick for Administrative excellence, when you see Nigerians working in Nigerian Bottling Company (coke) Pepsi, Guinness,7up,Lafarge, Textiles mills, etc then you thank Awolowo's ingenuity

YorubaHero12:

Brother I understand you and you are right.

However I have a different school of thought. Leaving these igbos alone is what has led to all this rubbish they always say every time that make them get away with lies. Our fathers did a great mistake by maintaining the culture of silence against the igbos because an Igbo man will never play by the rules.

—Do you know there are still lot of Yorubas online that believed the hogwash that Ojuku released Awo? Don’t you think those Yorubas will be like “Oh Awo betrayed Ojuku, why will he release Awo and he supported Gowon against him”. Ojuku played his game right, after losing the war he found a fall guy in Awo.

— Another example, why should Igbos be calling Yorubas Fulani slaves because we voted Buhari in 2015? Don’t we have documented historical facts of Igbo alliance with Fulanis ? How could a tribe like Igbo suddenly turn around to label the Yorubas the betrayer of south when their history showed they had countless betrayal of the south (Yorubas). Some Yorubas online don’t even know about what transpired in between 1957-1999, they all just swallow the propaganda from the igbos like that.

The reason why the Igbo man is getting away with this is because they always resort to throwing the Biafra war victim card to project their propaganda because most Yoruba felt sorry for them. You don’t treat Igbos with love, you have to give it to them hot like they would if they were in our shoes.

—-That is why I want to make sure I correct him to the end until he has nothing else to say. And this should even be moved to other social media space to sensitize millions of Yorubas and other tribes out there.

Can you now see why I’m doing all this? Normally he has nothing more to say but I want him to keep silent.

Many thanks for your painstaking efforts I have had occasions where I enlightened many people on many subjects concerning these issues, but they choose to hold on to lies, their motives are unclear.Based on deductive reasoning I can surmise that their angst is their inability to attain Presidency for the past 20 years. It is unfortunate many Yoruba fell for their propaganda .It took me a lot of reading several books before I found out that the 1963 Treasonable trial of Awolowo was a sheer hogwash conceived and designed by NCNC and NPC to subjugate Awolowo and Western Nigeria.Micheal Okpara played an inglorious role in that event. As for Yoruba voting for Buhari in 2015 & 2019, do you have any apology for that?who are/were the betrayers in 1951(claiming they won elections into Western House Of Assembly) though records show contrary. In 1964 Elections they initially formed alliance with AG just to form "broad based government "with Balewa leaving AG to remain as opposition,in 1979,1983 and 1993 they voted against Yoruba candidates yet they call us names for rejecting a corrupt riddled Jonathan's government.Won to to nkaanka

Yorubahero12,why waste your time and energy in educating those who refused to be educated.Let them continue to delude themselves.Where have they seen a federal prisoner being released by the state or regional government? So Ojukwu just woke up and released Awo just for Gowon to welcome him in Lagos without Gowon's consent, what an irony.Nigeria will be a better country if we allow these parasitic Igbo to secede and save ourselves from these awful parasites who have been invading every Yoruba towns and villages yet evil is what they wish their hosts. What should the Germans, Japanese be wishing British and American for a war which ended 75 years ago? These people are forging on whereas Igbo are still sulking on the war the useless Ojukwu caused to massage his ego.Let us go our different ways if that will save us from these compulsive liars. They were not made to pay for human and materials losses caused by Ojukwu's madness why won't they be talking thrash.

Politics / Re: 2023: Why Yoruba Will Produce President After Buhari – Clarke by Brigadier66: 4:16am On May 26, 2019
it's quite unfortunate that Nigerian youths have become obsessed with presidency to the points of hurling insults, hate speeches against one another's ethnic groups, religious leanings without minding the consequence of their comments. It's high time these purveyors of these nauseating remarks are blocked from this forum. We need constructive and realistic solutions to the myriads of problems facing this Nation.
