This version of the story is full of lies and written to paint ogechi as a bad girl which she is not. I am also a student of the school and witnessed everything that happened because i also came late to school that very day.

Zianab the headgirl is proud and very full of herself because her father is a senior police officer. She is rude, saucy and wicked. She recently punished a boarding student by locking her out of the dormitory and this student slept outside all night in the cold. She has no mutual respect for her fellow SS3 mates and treats everyone as trash especially the junior students.

Oge and other later comers were asked to go arrange some tables as her punishment for coming late to school. While we were arranging the tables, i saw the headgirl who was supervising the punishment ask Oge to stool down. Oge obeyed. while stooling down, she threatened to slap Oge. Oge told Zianab that she had no right to slap her because she has not done anything wrong. Zainab now slapped and Oge slapped back before Zainab reported to the school authorities who now made Oge a scapegoat.

Oge was made to cut the grass at the back of SS1 block. She did not come to school the next day and some of her friends went to check on her at home. The next day the principal called her friends together and threaten to severely punish anyone who goes to visit her again.

She has missed her mathematics, history, computer and CRK exams and i wonder if our principal would let her write them. The punishment from our teachers in school is too much. Someone please help us.

Some crazy slots are actually supporting dis barbaric act. A student (prefect or no prefect) does not have the right to slap fellow student. Even a teacher has no right to beat a child except under extreme cases of stealing, fighting, etc. The offence must be documented and punishment given must also be written in school punishment book in care of the principal. that is the law for heaven's sake.

Let's use our heads well, I believe she was rude but does that call for the beating of her life? Beating her to that extent is deadly and can result in something else; she should have been punished and probably the school would see her guardians/parents on it...don't take laws in your hands...okay with all the rants u have said why didn't the principal appear before the police to prove herself right? rather she deployed some soldiers coz she has links with them..can Nigeria really grow?

BTW all I can see here are just normal whip marks that will disappear after 2 days or less.. Like I said am against the maltreatment BUT the child should be questioned as regards what she did! I have seen a similar case before, the parents went to court and it was discovered that the child griped one of the teachers, the case was close and the parent shamelessly apologized to the school management and the little brat was expelled!! Why should the principal go and answer the police?? So that they will detain her shea? Like you don't know how unprofessional our police is! Untill I hear the full story, I won't tink otherwise...

I'm the VP of a public secondary school. We know the problems of delinquency in children. The teachers who did that to her are not mad and they are parents too. That girl must have contravene school rules. Disciplinary measures in school include flogging, but not to maim a child. Most parents take sides with their children on matters of discipline and even assault the teacher for correcting the child. It is even more embarrassing to observe that people make sarcastic comments on this issue. We flog our children at home when they go wrong. Spare the cane and spoil the child!
