yes sure! Why Not!! I have a Passion for Lecturing and Teaching!, Teaching is part of me because I come from a Family of teachers So I wish to go into the Academia!! Academia also pays better because I can combine my job @ the Academias and with Clinical Practice!! BUT ACADEMIA IS MY PRIMARY AIM!my career mentor is a professor @ a Dental School in US and also a Dentist in his Private practice!! He makes upto 350k- 450kdollars per Year!!

Haba!! That's not well paid na!! I worked briefly in Dubai as a Dentist! The only thing I liked working as a Health worker was TAX FREE PAY! You don't pay tax as a health worker in UAE!! I was paid $180000 per year that's about 15k Dollars per month!! Those guys are stingy Seriously!

Very true!!! Most Nigerian Trained doctors I know are all in Physician Residencies(Internal or Family Medicine)! I don't tink I have seen any in Surgery Residency

US Healthcare system is different (so they believe), so they don't take foreign trained medical practitioners who wasn't trained in America. Even the medical schools don't take foreign degree equivalent except in dentistry where you can be admitted as foreign trained dentist and undergo few more years of training. As to your pharmacy, I'm sorry, you may have to start over again or go for something related in MS/PhD such as pharmaceutical science etc.

lemme add a little to this! In Dentistry you will be accepted and spend 2years to get their degree but ALTHOUGH there are some States that allow foreign train dentist to practice after meeting some conditions!! Them for the Medics, if you Pass the USMLE you will get into a residency program! The higher your score in Usmle the brighter your chances of geting a good residency!!

my friend!! Nigerian Doctors abroad are entrepreneurs! They create jobs for American Nurses and Nursing Assistant! When trump said he was gonna depot Immigrants, he actually talking abot immigrants who take up menial jobs meant for the average american like janitor, security, driving etc.. I personally know a Nigerian Doctor who has 2 Dental clinics in Texas!! He has over 10 Americans directly under his employment!! So get that right!!
