Having gone to the bank by 5am today to collect a tally number so that I can go into the bank by 8am and cash some money to settle my bill at a government hospital around me that charged me a hefty amount for treatment and drugs for one of my wounded staff.

I returned to the bank by 8am on the dot, but the bank refused to let us in until 9:30. When they allowed us into the banking hall, they announced they were paying only N5,000 per customer. I became frustrated and left the line to approach POS centres for cashout, most of the POS operators sing NO CASH while the few that had little were charging around 20%.

Please, if you live in Lagos and know of places where the ATM are paying fine, with little or no queue, let me know by commenting below.

What happens next week when the banks take away the remaining old notes from the system? I am sure hell will soon let loose.

Think of it without sentiments, we have filled out the deposit form on the CBN portal, visited the bank today and dropped all our old notes, only for us to be told that it will take up to 4weeks before our deposited money reflects in our account.

How do we get money to run our businesses, pay the balance of school fees that is already overdue, pay salaries at the month's end before we get our deposited money back in our account, buy gas for cooking, fund the coming Ramadan fasting or purchase electricity daily?

God almighty! safe our bodies and souls, we are in a big pot of soup. Our leaders are possessed to suffer us. our Apex Bank is now being used to kill our businesses. Our electoral campaigns are no longer about pointing to political parties' achievements and parties manifestos but paying political jobbers and our youths to tackle anyone that writes any things against their party, employs thuggery, and implements sudden killing policies.

For cool-headed ones like us, we won't shift in our stance, the country we never work if we continue the way we run things. We won't stop talking and praying to God to come to our rescue.

You are sounding premature. Are you not seeing and hearing the situation all over the place? People are hungry, banks are being attacked, and businesses are bleeding. Please, wake up, and don't be childish, the new/old naira notes policy is becoming a rising agitation similar to ENDSAS.

If we don't stop this thing, democracy might elude us once again.

At this point in time, the value of money we have in banks is greatly reduced, the persons rendering us most of the services around are not the transfer types. They want to be paid in cash, the kind of cash they want or the so-called new notes and the old N200 notes are not available. The banks that ought to disseminate the new notes are shut down because they are seen or watching some other banks being burnt over new/old note agitation.

And some of us still have up to 10, 20 or even a hundred thousand of the so-called old notes. We are not talking about lifetime savings. With our large amount in the bank and old cash at hand, we are gradually getting hungry, soon hungry men will turn into angry men, and behold hungry-angry men will hit the street, hoodlums we join and the city will go on fire.

To prevent the breakdown of law and order, and to truly retain our needed sanity for voting wisely next weekend, let's buy and sell in both old and new notes. Let's carry on in sensibility, by this we can prevent the loss of valuable lives, knowing well that all this will end soon as Buhari Government leave office.

Tension is now everywhere, everyone here now rejects N500 and N1000 because one overrated, overprotected leader, who did not care whether we eat or not made a hurtful pronouncement. People who closed from work here in Lagos yesterday lamented how they trekked miles because commercial bus operators refused to collect old N500 and N1000 notes.

This morning, lots of fights broke out between people and food vendors, between passengers and commercial bus operators for the failure of service beneficiaries to offer new naira notes to the service providers after the latter rendered service to the former. Lots of commercial transporters here have packed their vehicles and sit at home. Many children could not make it to school because the parents have no new notes to give them for their transport and break-time snacks or food.

We are in a dare mess. Hunger is beginning to bite everyone, businesses are losing sales revenue. some have even closed shops. What do we do, keep rejecting old notes or keep spending them within ourselves? Lets, 's see what the next 2 to 3 days will bring!

May God save our souls and our businesses beyond this trying time. The unfortunate here is that so many sick people are dying as a result of zero immediate access to the cash needed for their medical treatments and virtually all businesses are suffering because of poor cash flow.

By the end of this whole thing, the negative impacts will remain with us for a very long time if not forever.

Are we fooling ourselves by listening to the duo of Emefele and Buhari, are these two people using naira notes like the rest of us?
Why do we allow a mere pronouncement from Central Bank to bring our lives to a sudden halt?

Please let's come together and free ourselves, let's trade on whichever of the notes we can lay our hands on. Lt us not our system to shut down. Let's not go on a rampage burning our structures, our banks over a mere pronouncement by a Government whose tenure is less than 4 months in office.

Nigerians are suffering, millionaires are begging for food, and over 200 million Nigerians are confused. Businesses are shutting down over the refusal of old notes by associates. All the abnormals are happening so fast Emefele disallowed the banks from collecting the old notes, and many of the banks were closing their branches for fear of attack by angry/hungry customers, who might do the unbelievable.

Buhari remained muted over an issue of this magnitude and left Emefele to make incoherent pronouncements about a matter of extreme national importance that can lead the nation into war if nothing is done quickly.

The Federal Executive Council in their own wisdom advised against CBN's stance on the abrupt discontinuation of the use of the so call old Naira notes. At the same time, the majority of the state governors expressed displeasure over CBN's new notes policy and the way it is being implemented. Yet Emefele, whom I believed is playing according to the president's dictates, remain adamant..

May the almighty, all-gracious God come to our rescue, and may He intercede in this matter as he did in the day of Abacha. I believe God the omnipotent is still on the throne, He reigns and He will save all of us, innocent Nigerians.

Yeah, you are right. I later discovered it was an okash repayment account I no longer use. Instantly I called opay but once somebody picked the call and I narrated my plight, the call goes mute. I tried severally but no way.

I searched for okash app, and logged in but discovered that the money was not in my dashboard, I called okash customer care numbers but the numbers were not going through. I mailed them and they told me it could take up to three days before reversal.

Now they no longer reply to my emails. I took another loan to recoup my money, after a week, Now they are calling me with recorded voice messages to repay. Once they chatted me on whaatsapp and I replied with the screenshot of the erroneous transfer, they never use whatsapp to contact me again.

I have vouched not to pay them a dime until I receive a live call from them, listen to my own side of the story and refund my N44,000,

What am trying to know here is this,

Is there any portion of the Nigerian constitution that prohibits the act of selling naira notes for a marginal profit?

The introduction of the new naira notes and the evacuation of the old notes from the system has indeed created a new flprishing business everywhere around us. The Banks are paying N5,000 daily with a long queues at few atm that dispenses. Most POS operators sing "No Cash".

Families are hungry, people are trekking long distances to work, many badly sick people are been rejected at hospitals for lack of cash to deposit for treatment.

Suddenly a new trending business broke out of all the chaos, people are beginning to trade bank transfers. At first I thought it was a joke when a POS centre told me to pay N500 for N10,000. I started ranting, but a young lady came in and gladly paid N500 to have the cash.

Now, my question is this is it legal?

If not, is there any portion of the Nigeria constitution that prohibit this act of trading in naira note with a profit margin?

Please house, I was trying to transfer N44,000 to my Opay account tied to my phone number but transferred the cash into an old Opay account of mine with a strange account number 5544******.

I have initiated chat inside Opay app but whenever I narrate my ordeal, the person at the chat console will end the chat session.
Also whenever I call, and my call is picked up, the customer care agent ends the call or remains silent.
