This industry is not for the greed and impatient, I was up, 4% on my mmf evaluation account last week, remaining 1% to finsh it. This week I violated my rules and started risking 1% on a single trade without waiting for confirmation before striking. Is dawn on me today I'm down on -7%... Risk management is the key.

Actually Psychology comes first then follow by risk management.

The winners mentality got into our head once we are making profit and instead being humble and double down following our rules strictly we thinks we are super traders now, floutings our rules and ultimately market punish us and reset our mindset albeit painfully. I think is one of stages in our evolution as a trader which we eventually grow past.

You're very right this industry is NOT meant for Greedy and Impatient.

Stay focus and discipline, you will recover those losses in no time because you will following your rules strictly henceforth.

8% target is kinda high though. That's why 95% would failed cos their greed level would be on the high side.

What if a trader doest achieve the 8% target the first 30 days, but didn't break any rules, would the trader be disqualified?

If I get you well, you mean if trader does NOT achieve 8% target in a month without breaking any rules. Definitely you will have unlimited free retry as long you don't break any rules. And if you are up-to like 6% you're automatically entitled for an extension.

You will given chance to continue with your profit for the next couple of weeks 2-4 to help complete the profit target. But if you're say like 3-5% you can request for an extension by mailing them MFF. But for ftmo once you reach 5% profit you're entitle for an extension to complete the profit target of 10%.

No am still on phase 1 so the target is 8%. It is phase 2 verification that's is 5%.

My bro I dey o. Yeah I had a free retry last time. And this my second attempt which would end this week. Am roughly 6% up, hopeful I finish it up before Wednesday or I will just request an extension for like 2 weeks to finish to complete it remaining 2% insha Allah. I actually had a break for like 1 week for some exigencies, so I couldn't trade at all.

I am not in any hurry, slow and steady we would definitely reach the promise land. See attached pics for current status.

Free your mind brother, you have what it takes to be a winner seems you're over doing things. Concentrate much on your setups and don't be haste to force trade. I have learnt from series of traders that a single trade with right lot size is enough to make a difference you winning a competition boss Famora7 comes to mind.

The last time I checked leaderboard and I saw you cruising up I was happy you're getting it right but reading all these posts again about you weak me.

Also please always look for solid setups from 1h charts upward only take trade at lower time that sync with your higher time frame analysis. Quasimodo setup of higher time (in process or just starting out) would always override lower tf.

Fortunately, we will be successful by repeated failed and rise renewed every time. Failure is a step to success not the opposite particular for non quitters because they are intrinsically a winner which be made manifest soon or later. Stay Blessed!

I was part of the winner of the telegram competition you are talking about. Won 25k TCF account then.I actually took part in two completion, from two different propfirm review group. I guess u took part in one. How did I know u are d one ? Never mind

Princeify72 traded the whole day chasing me with over 20 trades and breath a fresh air about 1hour to the end of the weeks market when he over took me. Luckily, my top up was so fast, fxblue couldn't capture the trade, because everything was in about 20mins, so no way he will anticipate it, did that in about 30 mins to market close.

Oh I see. No I didn't take part in that your first competition where TCF is part of co-sponsor, it was second one around December. Sanscrosant Fund didn't fulfil there promise so I wasn't able to get the account then. It was E8 and MFF that fulfilled theirs.

I even learnt that those organisers even do some hanky panky with the funded account of the winners registering it on their names instead of the winners names. Let me use this medium again to thank infofirst and bigbasho for being open, honest and generous to the winners here.

I remember during Telegram contest which I am part of the winners but yet to be given the promised funded account. I was practically refreshing the page of other contestants at the last minutes and so others for mine. I can see how the guy bellow me was pumping up lot size in hope for joker lol. So he might have possibly anticipate your move and tend to counter it, but nevertheless both of you perform incredibly.

Eaayah sorry bro but I think you haven't violate even the equity according to the calculations on your dashboard. Though even I always avoid getting to that daily loss limit because of ten got confused with equity and balance calculation but I generally pick the higher figure and avoid get to such level.

I can see that your equity DD is lower than balance DD and yet you haven't even violated balance daily DD talkless of equity. Pls try email their support with this your screenshot mt4 balance may be it can be resolved.

Modified: Unless your equity has fallen below the required figure before getting back to that current level of $10114 in that case nothing can be done. Did you set SL or you manually close it at that balance? If it later it might be equity daily has already been violated before you close it at that balance. Anyway bro another lesson learnt albeit painfully. Don't worry more opportunity is coming stay focus.

Thank you for the observations. The contest is not like any regular contest. If we are trying to learn from it, making it private will defeat the aim. We see differently thou but I do not see any correlation between making it public or private and the contestants performance.
I asked some questions just before the contests starts, if you go through some of those responses and the trading habits, you will see most are not trading what they called their strategy. One can conclude that most are not having any trading strategy in the first place. The activities here are supposed to be a kind of journal for us. Every one can not participate in the contest but we should not deny them the chances of learning from traders behaviors and some investors interested in partnership will be denied too.

And when you look further, one can tell most are not having any risk management plan.
And if you have no trading strategy, no risk management, you can not have the right trading psychology.
Strategy + risk = psychology + consistency

Nice conclusion boss mi. You've spoken the truth. There are no two ways around this, is either you obey the rules having good trading strategy which you follow religiously, proper risk/money management and excellent psychological balance. The market would always humble us.

So in the midst of intense pressure to Win the challenge, one should not jettison above formula or else na sorry be that. Wishing every contestants goodluck. We must "tame" this market by fire by force through this competitive contests.
