PrettyMuchNoOne: assuming one was in Lagos, what's their best option for getting access to Starlink?
i know before you could use the business plan and pay more, but that seems to have been removed as an option.
if someone got a mini terminal from, e.g. Jiji, is there any guarantee it'd work at home? I can get ur starlink working.. t n c applies |

Glad I didn’t go and buy from vendors cos time was against me and I needed it fast to travel with so I approached vendors and they said 570k..I just shun it and went ahead and place the order on the Starlink website at 354k. y did u choose the mini |

AndroBlaze: Another thing you might not realise is that if he switches off the charging profile of that inverter, it kills the ability of that inverter to act as an automatic UPS, which I can tell you from personal experience is quite stressful for him to changeover every time NEPA takes light.
At least, lets first let him worry about obtaining the battery. On the first day he can charge it up for a while and observe it directly if he has a multimeter (which everyone in this forum should at least have by now).
there are other ways to handle this |

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by brightk(m): 10:55pm On Apr 30, 2025 |
AndroBlaze: Omotoda's advice was given based on the experience of using a similar inverter. So is mine.
He doesn't need to worry about another charger as these inverters don't even have equalisation modes if I remember correctly. i still maintain my stance on charging... if u have studied the lifepo4 charging curve u will understand better |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by brightk(m): 10:44pm On Apr 30, 2025 |
AndroBlaze: The advice Omotoda gave him was sound. That inverter will work fine with lifepo batteries and won't overcharge it as the charging profile is on average lower than what is needed to fill lifepo batteries. Also those buttons have nothing to do with charging but control how fast the UPS kicks in.
It's still good for him though to get an external charger so that he can ensure he fully charges the battery once in a while. i like to keep things safe.. 3.6 is a bad idea for me bro... |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by brightk(m): 9:25pm On Apr 30, 2025 |
Obnoxious2001: It's not for the charging.
I think this is for the input from mains.
It's good someone has actually experimented the lithium battery with Indian inverters.
@brightk it might actually be for the inverter output. but nevertheless my only advice for @numericalguy pls do not charge ur lifepo4 batteries with ur inverter u can get an external charger for it until u upgrade to inverter that u can edit charging profile |

GloryJoyeux: Hi, you are connecting the panels in series, so it’s the voltage of the panels that is going higher not the current.
So no need for thicker cables to level you are insinuating for the dc pv input.
The best pv charger controllers have Isc of 47amps and Imp of 17amps. So its not the kind of high current your are imagining. pls check ur dm |

pazone: Except they're not all brand new, at least from the one I tested.
The problem with Deriy 14.3Kwh Hithium White Battery with MCCB is the cells are not brand new. See the attached image of the QR code. How can you say cells manufactured in 2021 are brand new?! Or are these fake QR codes? Whichever it is, it's still false marketing. The BMS (image attached) was programmed to charge at 40amps, new cells are supposed to support charging at 1c. Or are the Hithium cells in Deriy different? In Southern Nigeria lifepo4 needs to be charged as fast as possible because of the weather, the sky is not always clear like in the north. So anyone with high PV output should be able to charge at 1c or 0.5?
One more thing is the Deriy 14.3Kwh Hithium White Battery with MCCB is not DIY friendly because the cells are welded (image attached) It won't be easy to replace a cell if something goes wrong in the future. DIYers should have this in mind before buying Deriy battery pack. You get what you pay for but KaylaDeriy shouldn't be marketing these as brand new, they're definitely not.
Nice community you guys have here, researching this battery to get more info & Google landed me on this thread. Capacity test to follow soon, these are first observations. small small truth don de come outside. For sure de will still com to defend their products. |

Peterlove11: I bought 16kwh from him recently. He delivered directly at my doorstep in less than 24hrs. I did capacity testing on it, was able to pull beyond 316ah from the battery, that was at 48v low voltage disconnect. He used JK bms on the battery which I later read from reviews its a good and quality bms. I will give the build quality a 8/10. Quality battery terminals and circuit breaker. Concerning cycle life, he said it's rept cells with 8000cycle life. In all, I will recommend if you want genuinely rated battery with good bms This is based on the battery I bought from him, can't say about other capacities. daz impressive 316ah @ 48v... @ 3v per cell.. u still have a lot of juice left.... |

AndroBlaze: It is almost 100% certain that the likes of CWORTH are using grade B cells and not saying anything about it so I wonder why it is hard for people to recommend Valto when he is an actual person that will tell you the grade of the cells if you ask na just jealousy... de claimed he turned turned the thread from a DIY tin to market place.. FEGEITOK: This is an objective question and not a diss or an attack.
What are the pros and cons of purchasing a battery from our guy here Valto versus any other packaged batteries?
I've read here that Felicity batteries overstate their capacity but that Valto states the real capacity.
What other issues play in favor of Valto?
If there are any cons, please share.
Want to make an objective purchase decision here.
This is going to be my first lithium battery purchase and I don't want to get it wrong.
Comments on the below will be helpful:
Capacity, Cycle life, DIscharge rate, safety features, Build quality
Will be helpful
This list is by no means exhaustive support is no 1 tin wen it comes making purchases on certain equipment and i think valto has dat... valto has always stated his real capacity on his batteries and no one here has come out to debunk dat by doing a capacity test safety fetures... except u are considering inbuilt fire extingusher like some foreign packs claims i dont think there is any difference between some factory coupled packs and his own... As for discharge rates, that will fall back to his specifications for his pack.. shud b around 0.5c Cycle life depends on manufacturer of d cells....dis u will also get to kno from him.. cost wise, valto batteries are affordable... my own opinion.. |
