Good Evening Gentlemen.

Does Opay Card still work on Starlink?

Been trying to reactivate my account but it's been declining.
i did an installation few days ago. it was declining.. i had to request for their virtual card .. and i was able to activate the kit

Adding price will make post disappear? Please stop lying! People have been putting prices and nothing has disappeared. Just say you don't want to put prices for obvious reasons. That's the reason I'll never patronize you.
ur statements are uncalled for.. every man with his own policy. if he doesnt state his prices and u are interested in his products, simply slide into his dm.. it wont hurt ur flesh..... saying u will never patronize him is laughable. plus u minus u, bizness go still go de go on...

Seller has agreed to a refund

My bro I've seen things in Chinese importation- but I've never taken a loss. Most of the time I don't just bother to share some experience here as I'm busy with life offline grin
That market is wide.. I am sure ur friend didnt consider alot of factors before using that particular seller...

Hello everyone, Recently, i got to a locatoin for a new installation and starlink says its service is at capacity, Fortunately for me, an installation was done in the same compoound so i decided to check the service address used, Lo and behold it was another service address as far as 3km from the location. I was skeptical @ first but i had no choice,. eventually we were able to hookup to available satelites.. Although i kept seeing signals drop via d led button on the starlink router..At a point in time no iphone was browsing, but TV and andriod devices were working.. After going back n forth i decided to reset the router (V3) even though no confirguration has been done on it..

Eventually everytthing picked up and there has not been any single calls till date.

My question is has anyone ever activated starlink using a service address far away from the starlink original location?

My solar array is currently 12KW with harvest reaching above 10KW many times. If I'm on a 12V system, I will need like 5 or 6 high current charge controllers and my amperage will often exceed 500 to 800A. That amount of current in a home is a serious fire risk. If you intend to stay in the 1-2KVA range with small appliances, 12V will be okay for you. But if you ever plan on growth, you will one day regret not heeding the advice to go to 48V from the set go. Remember, you won't be a student/bachelor forever. grin
shey na one day person de turn adult.. oga take am easy.. ur needs are not piples needs

Even if 12V serves your power need, what about the limit it places on your solar setup? Your charge controller will take only 25% of the solar power it will take at 48V when you use it in a 12V system. For anyone starting out, start with 48V if you have the means. One of my major mistakes when I started my solar journey many years ago was starting with 24V due to fears about the cost of batteries. I have since moved to 48V.
life na stages bro.. i see no reason y someone cant use a 12v system and who says cc will limit.. u.... the lowest cc i have come across can accommodate 600w while other tend to rise up to 1600w... enough to charge batteries and power loads... bread hybrid inverter takes above 1kw of solar input.. so.... u just have to check ur consumption and know wen 2 upgrade

As you sef typed this Deye 12kw, your heart no cut small for me?
No be yahoo boy get the facility 😭😭
reason with the client.... this setup will cost a lot... like i said its easier to get inverters and panels.. if money b d problem make una start small... not all loads will be on the inverter for now.... u can do 6kw*2 or 8kw x2..... and enough panels as u can afford. Start with 1 or 2 battery packs.. let him know its a continuous project.. if he is really serious.. he can be self sufficient in 2yrs.. draw out a comprehensive plan and spread it such that in 2yrs he can be able to do 70% of it if not 80%.. u can make comparison btw deye, growatt, alpsolar and solis... try and choose an inverter with large mppt power... like i said go to the location, do your own analysis and draw out your plan. if e nor reason with u my broda make u clear fast fast

Client wey insist on buying everything himself, have had to change his MUST charge controller in less than 8-months. Money wey him no want take buy quality item, him don spend am the other way round.

e get the kind capacity you go dey run, you need quality items. At least play your part make you know say you don try.

Another thing is, Solar power isn't really all that super efficient on some load types. e get as the load go take big reach, petrol / diesel generator go just better EXCEPT they really got the resources to plan and build such system. At such stage, that kind work no be wetin dem dey give any how
u can literally get away with panels and inverter.. d real koko na battery backup. if na me de this shoe.. na to let client know say na continuous upgrade till de become self sufficient... esp on battery.....make una draft out plan.. a 100kwh battery grin grin

ask4bk:
You are right.
But assuming (we are doing assumptions now) the load is truly 5kw at peak, would you suggest a high frequency inverter like Growatt 12000 ES (12kw), or you would prefer a transformer based inverter coz of surge current from hospital inductive loads?
i would rather pick a deye 12kw over growatt 12000 Es. but factor in their pockets..
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by brightk(m): 3:36pm On Aug 16, 2025
ask4bk:
You think a high frequency Growatt 12000 ES (12kw) is durable enough to handle regular heavy inductive loads without needing repairs every year? 😭😭.
Abi just to go for transformer low frequency inverter?

brightk
maybe you should visit the location and do some analysis.. check each devices consumption, peak load hrs and off peak load hrs.. i think u can draw your conclusion from there.

Thanks bro..
With full capacity load of 5000w, you still advice for a 6kva inverter?
10kw inverter shud b d minimum. as for batterry, alot has to b considered..time of usage of appliances (day/night), running hours...

You won't understand the context. But the particular context i was in that particular time they sent the message, it'll take me a long journey to get to town, and will cost me approximately 180k for that journey to and fro, minus the stress and what it'll cost me at work. Doing my calculations, paying 144k was a far better option. As in by farrrr.
hmm

Picture from a 3.3Kw inverter. 01 fault code is just because my low voltage alarm was set to ~24.5v.

That's for a load test, though. I generally keep my inverter at max of ~1.7kw otherwise, but it's just to show you that it's doable.

You can also consider a 5kw inverter in a 48v setup so you have more headway.
this na srne

I once requested information on this thread on the best inverter AC to buy and after reading comments, I decided to go for LG 1 HP inverter Ac with Gen Mode from fouani for N559,000

It was installed few days ago and the installer set it to Gen Mode 0.8 and to my surprise the whole power it was pulling was just 320watts
which of d lg 1hp model are u using.

Lol. I have four different brands of LIFEPO4 batteries paralleled together. I have been using it for 2years plus. You can parallel even different capacity as the internal resistance of each battery will tell your charger which battery to supply higher amps. Recently I connected the four different 12v battery in series(using an external equalizer) to make 48V 100ah, then I paralleled the 4 to another single 48v 100ah using a bus bar. Manufacturers telling you not to parallel their batteries with other brands is BS so far the batteries are thesame chemistry(i.e you cannot parralel Lead Acid with Lithium).
how long have u been using the 12v in series with the external equalizer?
