ask4bk: Lol... I only did Maths. I didn't exaggerate. Grandstream GWN7664ELR does 300m range. Let's use maths to calculate the square meters.
300 m omnidirectional refers to a radius in all directions — it's describing a range, not area directly.
300 meters of omnidirectional coverage is only a radius of a circle (not diameter):
Area = πr² =3.14 x (300)² ≈ 282,743m²
The unify access point I compared it with covers only 140m². That's literally 2000 times better in coverage/range.
You were right in saying I did unfair comparison. I didn't know unify had an outdoor enterprise level access point. Let's compare the Grandstream with the U6-PRO-LR then.
U6-PRO-LR covers 185m² as you claimed. I think you are confusing meters with meter square. You need to convert to same unit to compare. You compared Grandstream 300m which is in meters and not m² to unify that is in m². 300m radius = 282,000+m². That's 1500 times better coverage than your suggested unify LR.
A unify LR can't even cover quater of a hectare, but the Grandstream covers over 28 hectares. No comparison.
Unify is just like apple iPhone that's the cool thing to use, and so the company keeps giving low specs and people pay too much for it like iPhone. I even heard that to use cloud management you have to pay and subscribe montly. Something that's free with grandstream and tp-link. Chai.
I agree with you that unify has many services and features more than Grandstream, but they are mostly gimmicks that 98% of users won't need for an enterprise level access point. There settings options are cool though. Grandstream gives you basics.
Then you insulted Grandstream by saying you will recommend it only for non enterprise use. 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣. Something that takes 750+ clients compared to lesser for unify entreprise Access points. Chai... That insult enter sha 😁😁. it have do oo. Abeg.make una go open unifi vs grandtream thread. However nobody is talking about the coded silent activation of starlink kits dat is going on now. |

ask4bk: I get you, but there's no room for comparison. Unify enterprise level access points don't offer 4x4 mi-mimo on all frequencies. They do on 6ghz and 5ghz but hardly do on 2.4ghz which, truth be said, is what 90% of clients will use since only 2.4ghz travels far. Mine has 4x4 on all frequencies.
Also there enterprise level access point is boasting of just 140m square of coverage when my Grandstream offers 282,000m square. That's literally 2000 times better.
Unify, as a big name, are super costly when you can get Grandstream cheaper and does 2000 times better. Grandstream is an American company. Not Chinese incase you tempted to say Chinese make cheaper and less quality. we all learn everyday. I would look into grandstream in further installations. Do u ve a plug? |

studyless123: Sir, like I stated earlier calm down and learn. Life is not only about you, I know you use it for business but everyone else should not burn because of you. Starlink signed regulatory policies and if they can't keep up with it, they can pack and go. Price increase should be approved and whatever price they set is the least of my issue.
I don't care about the price. I know many individuals that pay more that that monthly. I can't use it because it's a CGNAT and I don't like their implementation because they use semi-static blocks of ports for connection. I was paying about 1k USD for ISP over 15 years ago and wouldn't have issue paying same today. You also don't have to tell lies to prove a point. The reason for the waitlist is clearly stated on their website, any other reason you're giving is your opinion. Concentrate on your last mile connections which was what I did 20 years ago. People will appreciate you for that. there is more to this stuff than what u see out there. trust me i work in the telecommunication industry.. There are big players in the market.... u know ur country very well and how far de can go to sabotage things.. do u know piple still activate starlink despite d issue of no service in several location... just de play |

ask4bk: One unify access point ran 60 clients concurrently and it was smooth? Would love to know which particular access point did that. Most unify and tp-link omada will start to slow down especially as they are only 2x2 mimo or max 3x3. They are not enterprise level access points. You can't use them in a large setting like a stadium of thousands of people.
My Grandstream is 4x4 mi-mimo. Can theoretically take 500+ clients at a go, though the highest I've seen mine take is 72 clients at a go with smooth experience for all.
Unify is great for hotels where many won't be connected at same time to one access point. But not for a public commercial use that could draw 100s of users to one access point. i think u should check out specs of their hardware dat incoporates 4x4 and higher spatial streams

ask4bk: Grandstream GWN7664ELR
Its not the big names like unify or omada, but this is an unpopular access point that is enterprise grade which I doubt any omada or unify is. I used it to replace my omada outdoor which was making my clients complain every time when only 20 people connect simultaneously. unify anytime any day. But I like d flexibility. I have had some running for yrs # difft site covering guests up to 60 users. |

16 in number total. And confidentiality no issues, 24hrs light , power any device in my house..
Design and size is important. Dont anyone fool you. The size and design of battery banks are important for both lithium and lead. Do not believe all this label placed on the batteries body. In as much as i want to agree with u... the price of obtaining 16 tub batt (15.8kwh....50% dod) @ say 250k/290k (average/authentic brands) per battery is not worth it in 2025. u can check out prices for 15 to 17kwh battery packs and ask urself if its worth investing in it.. u also tend to spend more keeping these batteries balanced... what abt the space consumption, Most installers never look @ C rating of most lead acid batteries.. i think that is where thier problem starts from.. its easier to get away on lithium packs with gud bms. All the same lead acid works and still works |

Let me push small fear into your spine.Unless you power just tv, charging, and bulbs will this set up do 2 or 3 years or less with careful pampering before you will notice large difference in capacity. Raining season is even coming....how will you full charge it?Sulphation will kill it by then.
If you add freezer, iron, etc be rest assured your system will fail in less than a year.
Assuming you didn't know this thread before now it would have been a different issue of "had I know". But you deliberately shot your upper limb with your eyes opened .

BigDickProblems: Please you guys should stop shutting Dam5reey1 guy down. I don’t understand you guys at all.
I am here to learn and the most interesting things I’ve learnt so far are from him and some other folks here-his YouTube videos on battery capacity testing and other invaluable information are usually well detailed, educative and interesting for a curious mind like me.
He can point out anything unusual from any brand whatsoever, and you can correct him constructively in a diplomatic way if you feel he is wrong. Don’t make it look as though it’s a personal thing.
I don’t know about Valto, but with the little I’ve seen here, a lot of people can vouch for his products; of which I love so much. I mean, obviously he is a good producer.
But do I learn a thing from Valto so far? Except for him proffering, advertising and prescribing his products here, there is nothing I’ve learnt from him (perhaps he used to, but since I joined this thread, NO).
And much like any company, anyone can be checked for. If a test is done on his product, are you not supposed to open-mindedly accept the critic’s observation instead of saying it’s a personal beef?
But I am just speaking my mind. I really love learning, and without people like him questioning certain observable norms, it’s becomes a thing of everyone accepting anything that comes by.
Please stop shutting him down. I don’t know him from anywhere, but please stop shutting him down. wen u re relaxed. Find time to read wat u just wrote here..sims u posted in a huri |

mctfopt: 70% of Nigerian Renewable Energy installers/electrician's needs to be retrained. Someone today installed 2s 6p with solar panel of VoC 40v on an inverter with MPPT range of 120v to 500v and wondered why it was no longer charging batteries by 3:30pm.
His reason: system voltage of 24v requires 2s.
