The feedback I am getting is that our Chinese guys were firmly on ground. I hear they have started offering 15 years to 20 years battery warranty.

The capacity I hear they are offering on inverters is so far unbelievable that I cannot yet mention it until I get concrete proof.

I understand these Chinese guys are taking this space by storm o. I am not too shocked though, considering how far they have gone with electric cars.

its really unbelievable. 15yrs? The goal of every business model is to make money while keeping other values constant.. well nothing is impossible.

Mikrotik may not be as reliable in high-traffic environments or may not be well-suited for large-scale network deployments. Mikrotik has limited tweaks and flexibility in terms of traffic manipulations.

I didn't bother myself to make my Mikrotik box a Cache and Proxy Server because it's handling lots of things already, going from ROUTING, DHCP, FIREWALL, MULTI-WAN, etc. each time I tried to implement a proxy server with this same box, I always notice a slight difference in performance. So I intend to deploy a second box to handle the Proxying part of my traffic and maybe Hotspot Server for my staff and guests.

I have to mention that Mikrotik DNS always crash because of the big static list which leads to a R/W issues. Back in the days when the x86 versions was the best option for larger network environments, R/W speed was a problem, as year went by, we had SSDs which performed better but you can't compare the performance of Mikrotik to the likes of Squid and NGINX running on it's own linux machine and solely for the purpose of Caching and Proxying internet traffic. Even though we now have more robust Mikrotik ROS Boxes and Hardwares with sophisticated configurations, Mikrotik still haven't made to the Top 10 Cache and Proxy Server lists till date.
u just brought memories of squid... anyways i havent used it in a long time... internet speeds have improved over time and still improving... but i think i will make out time for NGNIX and see its potentials...... na where de bring money man de face 4 nigeria oo

Your customer is on a tight budget and he is going for Full River AGM Batteries from Idyllic ? Full River are the Grade A of Premium Lead Acid AGM batteries and cost quite a penny on par with LifeP04 cells. The point Valto raised is instead of spending that amount for a number of batteries that you can max discharge 50%, why not buy LifeP04 that has more usable capacity to use. My last quote in 2020 for their 12v DC-260ah battery was N205,000 each. Only God knows how much they go for now.
lol. U nor go understand. Na d load i de vex 4, d amp draw just 2 much on top 24v setup. although e go com down later.. battery is 220k for 12v 200ah cry

buy my 12v 173ah lifepo4 lithium battery for 400k, made with 60A Bluetooth bms. 80A /100A bms on request. also made with brand new grade A EVE 173ah cells, actual capacity is 178ah. note:brand new grade A cells can last approximately 10 to 15yrs..far better than buying lead acid for 220k to 240k
12v 30A dedicated lifepo4 lithium battery charger available incase inverter is not compatible..
valto even as much as i love lithium battery. This customer de on a tight budget. I 4 go 4 24v system but na waste of energy n resources on top a 1000w to 1200w load continous..

There used to be some methods achieved with Squid back in the day. The idea was for a local server to locally cache regularly access info on the internet so that when accessed once, all other requests for that info will first check if it is available locally before going to access it online. Is there a better way to achieve this nowadays?

i think mikrotik does it better.. back in the days we made use of a spare pc grin n referred it to as cache. We installed some spare hdd n installed mikrotik x86 on the boot drives leaving the other bigger drives to act as the proxy cache. I believe things have grown abovecthis stage. Maybe you can check on the mokrotik product catalogue to see which products fit your needs

Speed isn't everything....4G and 5G will deliver speeds that will be sufficient for most applications. Latency is another caveat. Communicating and doing internet application in real time with latency close to zero is the jewel. 5G was touted to achieve almost zero latency. That will be very useful in auto driving cars, performing remote surgeries by surgeons in real time,
online gaming etc . Zero latency is what technology is trying to achieve.

Sorry, don't know how to communicate it to you. I just hope you still understand
In as much i wont dispute your fact,
latency and speeds are 2 different ball games...

It's OK....good speed isn't everything. Developed countries that are well connected use fibre to home. It supports large bandwidth transmission . And the best advantage is its latency. Nigeria is connected to the rest of the world through optic fibre.
speed isn't everytin ?.. bros abeg na autocorrect write dat statement? E b like u never experience good Internet speeds

This is fibre, you can't compare to satellite or cable network. Fibre is the mainstay and future of communication. Communicating at the speed of light. It has better latency. I will always pick 25mbps fibre anytime, anyday over 150mbps satellite or cable link.
starlink does 230mbps..

fibre or no fibre. what we want to achieve is good speeds... i go see 150mbps satelite come go 25mbps. bros u sef tink am na....

ok great. @valto also recently stepped out on a limb and bought seraphim panels...against his better judgement, but he was pleasantly surprised as they presently are doing quite well too.

would be nice to compare notes after some years time as well
we just need a bal btw tier 1 and average panels

Baba, go back through the pages of the thread and see the list of LifeP04 vendors on Ali Baba.

Contact them and negotiate a price. Some can ship directly to Lagos DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and you pick at the shippers warehouse or they ship to a freight forwarder of your choice who will handle shipping on your behalf. You use your dollar card to pay using Ali Pay and that's it. The alternative you contact any of the lithium sellers here and buy from them with their additional cut on top. Choices dey.
this thread na over 1000 pages.. aveg help us with the direct pages. E bor easy 2 search

am keen to hear his POV.

GREAT NEWS, perhaps they hv improved,.......................... perhaps cos its still new. hitting 85% performance by 10.30am is really really superb, that means it cud easily hit 100% and more between noon and 2pm...which is the period with highest generation

wish we can get this data after 2 or 3 yrs, as that's the average time, the performance of lowend panels nose-dive
hmmm are you guys serious about this lowend panel degrading after 2 to 3 yrs? Anyone with proof

Hello House; am new to this topic and I have been following almost all comments. If anyone can help me, I will like a quote for 50kva solar inverter installation requirements & cost.

Someone recommended I use felicity inverter and lithium battery with it's solar panels. Is this product really the best out there in the market and what's it's durability test based on any experienced user?

Also let me note that the 50kva is for 5 apartments meaning 10kva per apartments. Also what is the expected usage of equipments per apartments running at that 10kva solar inverter power system. Thanks in Advance

Bros wetin b ur load..50kva ke.. please list wat u intend to power in each apartment dat amounts to 10kva
