Celebrities / Is Tiwa Savage A Heroine To All Nigerian Woman ? by brizzyng(m): 10:00pm On Apr 29, 2016
Tiwa Savage’s courage will help Nigerian women who are stuck in mad marriages. In the video, yes we can see an emotional woman who has been broken by a man who has treated her badly, made wrong accusations about her and called her honour into question.

However, most importantly we can see a Tiwa Savage rising from the ashes of her failed marriage, and breaking the chains tradition and society has placed on women in insufferable unions.

Wiping away her tears Tiwa Savage admitted to two years of emotional abuse from a man she loved with all her heart. She spoke on his alleged drug use, wild and expensive lifestyle and his infidelity.

Tiwa Savage told a tale of a woman who was determined to make her marriage work at great costs. She funded her husband’s expensive lifestyle, paid his debts and ignored his infidelity until she was choked by his unfaithfulness. Not only did she fund Tee Billz’s lifestyle she was the sole breadwinner of the house.

Before Tee Billz made damning accusations about his wife and tried to commit suicide, Tiwa Savage had already given up on her marriage. She had called it quits.

Why do I call Tiwa Savage bold, courageous and strong? It takes a woman with a solid spine and guts in Nigeria to call it quits on her marriage that was bringing her more pain than joy. She was the one bringing money to the home but still put up a front that her husband was in control.

There are millions of Nigerian women in this situation. They are suffering in silence, their cries are unheard because the Nigerian society has placed a yoke on them that they must endure pain in their marriages. The burden of whether the marriage works lies solely on them. This is wrong.

There are so many women who are the ones supporting their families. Many men have abandoned their roles as the head of the home because the society allows it, and the wives have to work extra hard to make ends meet for the entire family.

The society places a stigma on women who leave their marriages. We call them sluts and shame the women who have the courage to end their suffering by leaving these hell holes. Why does the Nigerian society hold back women in bad marriages? Why is the blame placed on them and not the man?

Before her interview, Tiwa Savage was slammed online for being allegedly sexually promiscuous. With tears in her eyes she defended her honour. Kudos has to be given to her for having the strength to end her marriage. She admitted that she was tired of it all.

One quote in her interview struck me deep. Tiwa Savage said “I don’t care at this point if I don’t ever get married again.” This statement is a liberating one not only for Tiwa Savage but for Nigerian women as well.

Tiwa Savage is now a symbol for women who are in the position she was before. Hopefully her story gives women the courage in this similar situation to come out and end their bad marriages.

Sports / Leiva Says Demolition Derby Can Spark More Liverpool Joy by brizzyng(m): 9:52am On Apr 22, 2016
http://brizzyng.com/lucas-leiva-says-demolition-derby-can-spark-more-liverpool-joy/

Lucas Leiva says Liverpool’s Merseyside derby demolition of Everton will prove a huge boost as they set their sights on European success.

Jurgen Klopp’s in-form team are in the Europa League semi-finals with a first-leg visit to Spanish side Villarreal to come next Thursday.

Victory in that competition – and a first European trophy since 2005 – would earn them a place in next season’s Champions League.

But should they fall short, the Reds have an alternative route back into the Europa League via the Premier League with their current form suggesting they have every chance of making it.

Three successive league wins, and six from their last eight games, have lifted Liverpool up to seventh place in the table.

That could be enough – depending on who wins the FA Cup – to qualify, but a top-six finish will certainly do it.

Klopp’s side have a game in hand on both Manchester United and West Ham, who are currently fifth and sixth, and are two points adrift of the Hammers and five of cup semi-finalists United.

Neither play in the league this weekend, giving Liverpool every incentive to extend their impressive home record against relegation-threatened Newcastle and former manager Rafael Benitez.

And Liverpool will go into Saturday’s game on the back of an emphatic 4-0 thrashing of neighbours Everton, which long-serving Brazilian midfielder Lucas is looking to build on to aid the team’s push for Europe.

“I think it was a deserved win. It’s special because it’s the first derby under Jurgen,” Lucas said.

“We are all happy and hopefully we can keep this good momentum going because we still have a lot to play for this season.

“We want to finish as high as possible in the Premier League. We know it’s important.

“We want to play European games and if we can get a spot through the Premier League it will be brilliant because the Europa League is too open. We have a chance but we don’t know if we’re going to win it.

“We just have to keep going. This (the win against Everton) shows the squad is in good shape, everyone is playing well and we are getting results, so it’s all positive.

“But we know football can change very quickly so we just need to keep very relaxed and focused.”

– Optimistic –
Klopp may rotate his side again to keep players fresh for next week’s trip to Spain with striker Divock Origi, who has scored five goals in his last five games, definitely out of the Newcastle game with an ankle injury.

Newcastle’s players, who have largely kept a low profile during this troubled season, are now talking a good game as they head to Anfield and attempt to end their 22-year jinx.

While history suggests the odds are stacked against them, the recent past at least offers Newcastle some hope and explains why some of the squad are finally sounding optimistic.

Vurnon Anita and Moussa Sissoko, two of the best performers as they beat Swansea last Saturday and drew with Manchester City in midweek, are suggesting Benitez’s team can yet escape relegation.

But those two games were at St James’ Park and Newcastle’s record on their travels this season is abysmal, with just seven points accumulated from 17 matches.

Yet Anita, who is likely to hold on to the right-back role despite the return of Daryl Janmaat, still insists they can surprise Liverpool.

“It’s an away game and we need to show we can do it away as well, with the same intensity and the fighting spirit,” said Anita, who scored Newcastle’s equaliser against City.

“We just need to keep on going. We need to take it step by step, game by game, and work hard like in the last two games and it will come for us.”

Culture / MUST READ: How USA Became The Only Super Power Of The World? by brizzyng(m): 11:58pm On Apr 21, 2016
The period after the end of the Second World War saw the emergence of the United States as the pre-eminent military and economic power in the world.

Every part of the world came under the purview of US interests.

The US also viewed herself as a great “moral force” in the world. Many Americans liked to think that the period in which they were living could quite legitimately be described as the “American Century”.
With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US became the only superpower in the world.

Economic Supremacy:

The Second World War had done no damage to the US economy. In fact, the problems created by the Great Depression had been overcome during the war. The post-war period was one of unprecedented economic prosperity. From 1940 to 1987, the GNP rose from about $ 100 billion to about $ 5,200 billion while the population rose from about 132 million to about 240 million. The affluence of the American people was reflected in the growth of what is usually described as “consumer culture” or “consumerism”.

Education / Should I Quit School ? Question Disturbing Teenagers by brizzyng(m): 10:50pm On Apr 21, 2016
Dropping out of school Or quitting school simply means stopping half way, and not being able to continue or further our education. They are reasons which makes some one want to quit school, For example, they may have learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral problems that interfere with their learning and achievement. Others may be students whose cultural backgrounds don’t mesh easily with the dominant culture at school. Still others may be students from home environments in which academic success is neither supported nor encouraged. Students at risk come from all socioeconomic levels, but children of poor, single-parent families are especially likely to leave school before high school graduation. Boys are more likely than girls to drop out. Students at greatest risk for dropping out are those whose families speak little or no English and whose own knowledge of English is also quite limited.

Sports / Is Cristiano Ronaldo Favourite To Win The Ballon D’or? What Do You Think ? by brizzyng(m): 12:51pm On Apr 19, 2016
Cristiano Ronaldo’s form this year has been so good, one might wonder how he performs at such a high level at the age of 31. Ronaldo has set a new record in the Spanish league, becoming the first player to have scored at least 30 goals in six consecutive season. Behind him in the list is Leo Messi, of Barcelona, who has scored 30 or more in four consecutive season.

Top Spanish paper Marca have published a report saying the 3 time Ballon D’or winner is the favourite to win the 2016 Ballon D’or saying Messi and Neymar and other possible candidates have been below par this season. Read the full report after the cut and tell us what you think?

‘Cristiano Ronaldo’s form at Real Madrid over the last few months might well have placed him in with a real chance of Ballon d’Or glory once again. And things had been going so well for rivals Barcelona.’

‘Lionel Messi and Neymar, well on the way to another successful season with the Blaugrana, were stood on the podium in Zurich back in January awaiting the results alongside their Madrid counterpart.’

One day while Moses was taking care of the sheep and goats of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, he led the flock
across the desert and came to Sinai, the holy mountain. There the angel of the
LORD appeared to him as a flame coming from the middle of a bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire but that it was not
burning up. “This is strange,” he thought. “Why isn't the bush burning up? I will go closer and see.”
When the LORD saw that Moses was coming closer, he called to him from the middle of the bush and said, “Moses! Moses!”
He answered, “Yes, here I am.”
God said, “Do not come any closer. Take off your sandals, because you are standing on holy ground. I am the God of your
ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” So Moses covered his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
Then the LORD said, “I have seen how cruelly my people are being treated in Egypt; I have heard them cry out to be rescued from
their slave drivers. I know all about their sufferings, and so I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians and to bring
them out of Egypt to a spacious land, one which is rich and fertile and in which the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the
Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites now live. I have indeed heard the cry of my people, and I see how the Egyptians are
oppressing them. Now I am sending you to the king of Egypt so that you can lead my people out of his country.”
But Moses said to God, “I am nobody. How can I go to the king and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
God answered, “I will be with you, and when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will worship me on this mountain. That will be
the proof that I have sent you.”
But Moses replied, “When I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors sent me to you,’ they will ask me,
‘What is his name?’ So what can I tell them?”
God said, “I am who I am. You must tell them: ‘The one who is called I AM has sent me to you.’ Tell the Israelites that I, the LORD,
the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, have sent you to them. This is my name forever; this is what
all future generations are to call me. Go and gather the leaders of Israel together and tell them that I, the
LORD, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, appeared to you. Tell them that I have come to them
and have seen what the Egyptians are doing to them. I have decided that I will bring them out of Egypt, where they are being
treated cruelly, and will take them to a rich and fertile land—the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the
Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
“My people will listen to what you say to them. Then you must go with the leaders of Israel to the king of Egypt and say to him,
‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has revealed himself to us. Now allow us to travel three days into the desert to offer
sacrifices to the LORD, our God.’ I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless he is forced to do so. But I will use my
power and will punish Egypt by doing terrifying things there. After that he will let you go.
“I will make the Egyptians respect you so that when my people leave, they will not go empty-handed. Every Israelite woman will go
to her Egyptian neighbors and to any Egyptian woman living in her house and will ask for clothing and for gold and silver jewelry.
The Israelites will put these things on their sons and daughters and carry away the wealth of the Egyptians.”

Travel / 6 Genuine Reasons Why Lagos Is The Most World’s Craziest City by brizzyng(m): 2:02pm On Apr 15, 2016
With a population of over 21 million people, Lagos is Africa’s fastest growing city and the 7th fastest in the world.
With it’s dynamism, tenacity and unique energy that pulsates through it, Lagos is certainly a city to be reckoned with,
and here are 6 reasons why.

1. Insane traffic jams

In the time that it takes someone to fly from Lagos to Johannesburg a person living in lagos may be lucky to have
reached Victoria Island from the airport by car. Perpetual traffic jams are par for the course in this city and
something the locals know how to deal with well

2. Danfo drivers

Weaving in and out of traffic like a Lionel Messi through the defensive line of a rival team, Danfo drivers (bus
drivers) are the kings of the road and nobody messes with them. Do not argue with them. Do not question their
driving proficiency. They are always right.

Politics / Finally, Petroleum Reforms Bill Sets Sail In Senate by brizzyng(m): 10:59am On Apr 15, 2016
BRIZZYNG.COM – The Senate Wednesday read for the first time, the Petroleum Industry and Governance Bill (PIGB),
signaling
commencement of another legislative journey for the much-delayed oil and gas industry reform legislation for
Nigeria.

The Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) had suffered stillbirth since the 6th assembly owing to factors ranging from geo-
politics and
controversy over sharing of compensation and powers of the Petroleum Minister, among others.

The PIGB, introduced by Senator Donald Alasoadura (APC, Ondo Central) is the combined effort of both the Senate
and House of
Representatives.

In another development, the Senate has mandated its Joint Committees on Petroleum (Upstream and Downstream),
Finance and
Appropriation to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the joint venture cash calls by the Nigeria National
Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC).

The Senate took the decision due to allegations that the NNPC had been in violation of rules governing its Joint Venture
Cash Call
responsibility.

A motion by Senator Bassey Akpan (Akwa Ibom North east) on the issue led to the senate resolution.

Crime / Woman’s Buttocks Explodes During Rough Sex, And Boyfriend Jailed by brizzyng(m): 2:29pm On Apr 14, 2016
This man literally busted his girl’s ass.

19-year-old Sean Williams took the term “busting ass” quite seriously while having sex with 26-year-old Tamela Martin.
Tamela was reported to have called 911 after Sean caused her buttocks to explode while they were having sex doggy style.
The lady said that when they were having sex, Williams started pounding her aggressively. She says she asked Williams to stop because something didn’t “feel right”.

She said,

“We was doing it and then he flipped me over and began to tear it up from the back. Asked him several times to be gentle, then I began to beg him to stop. That’s when he started going harder. I felt pressure building up in my booty and it felt like my booty was trippling in size, I felt the skin stretching. It was a pain I never experienced.”

Tamela was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital after a response came to her 911 call. She recently received butt injections to give her a larger butt and says she was well aware of the risks involved.Williams is however being charged with assault as they claim he ignored her pleas to stop during sex and is therefore culpable.

Officer Doug Davis of DeKalb County Police Department said,

“Even though she knew the risks, Sean Williams was still arrested because he was asked to stop and he disregarded the victim’s request. This has got to be the strangest assault case I’ve encountered.”

Sean Williams has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault and one count of Aggravated Assault. Tamela Martin is still in the hospital and is expected to recover.

One of Sean’s Relatives released a statement to reporters saying,

“HE IS THE FIRST DUDE TO GO TO JAIL FOR BUSSIN A B*TCHES @SS, I MEAN HE LITERALLY BEAT THAT @SS FLAT HE MUST HAVE BEEN SLAM F*CKING HER, I HOPE THE JUDGE GOES EASY ON HIM”
