I just came to find trouble ![]() Disclaimer: I own an old range Rover

oride:Most likely the cylinder head warped from the original gasket failure. When you replace, check the head with a metal straight edge to be sure it doesn't have the same problem |
HungerBAD:This! |
Truth of the matter is that successful conversion of any car is possible if: 1. The right parts are available 2. The person carrying out the conversion has in depth knowledge of the particular model being converted 3. The car owner is ready to spend serious cash So for someone like erico, it may not be a problem. For someone with little or no mechanical expertise, he/she is relying on the know-how of the mechanic, and that is a pure lottery Others have said it, if you love the car, want to use it urself in naija, and are willing to spend money (E350!) , Go ahead and good luck in getting a good mechanic to do it for you. Or, as yet others have said, save your money jejely and get an lhd from the states. Here's a thought- sell the one you have and use the money to buy an lhd. You might even make a profit on the deal! |
You can travel immediately if it was basic service of plugs, oil, oil filter and air filter However... Check the following before setting out - tyres - serpentine belt pulley bearings. If any of your pulley bearings are noisy, that is a sign of imminent failure - check the belt itself - brakes/ brake fluid |
DoctorGenerator:Yes thank you. I will be in contact soon |
Happy new year to to sir and to all those following this interesting thread I would would be grateful if you can assist with my issue below. I have machinery and equipment that require a power load of about 100kva at full load 1. I am aware that most generator have a power factor of 0.8 or thereabouts, does means that brand new 100kva operates best with 80kva load? 2. What do you consider to be the actual kva capacity of a grade a second hand 100kva gen? Also what will be the best grade A capacity for me to go for, since the efficiency of the gender drops over time, my power requirement is 100kva |
it's a caterham 7 , quite popular in the UK. not a racing car, just unique for it's pre-1940 design. can also be bought completely knocked down and the buyer assembles himself. autojosh sef... |

your numbers are not going thru.... |
oneshowguy:Correct. Never allow voltage of your 12v battery to get as low as 10.5 volts (then it's fully discharged) To enjoy long life from the battery it should never go below 11 volts For 24v system not below 21.5v For 48v system not below 43v |
Two main things to consider: 1. Km covered since last oil change 2. Time since last oil change In our extreme Nigerian conditions, change your oil every 3000km. If you can afford to use a smaller interval, say 2000 km the better Your engine will last much longer If not sure then change every 6 weeks But better to go by mileage To answer your initial question best to Change oil now and then follow above guide |
Solar is the way forward, and the cost is coming down. |
Looking for 32 inch LCD/LED max power consumption not more than 60 watts. Can you help? |
Those going for the democracy day LR/RR event, take care not to get too close to the water.... We here at The Drive understand how important it is to get the perfect shot. But with that understanding, we also get that there are certain risks that can come with the ultimate photo. For example, this guy apparently decided to park his Land Rover LR4 on an Atlantic Ocean beach in South Jersey to get a solid pic, according to NBC New York. From the looks of things, the man felt immediate regret after he realized he parked a little too close to the shoreline. A video uploaded to a Facebook group Tuesday shows the situation going down. As the tide rolled in, the water surrounded the white LR4 and the car sank deeper and deeper into the beach. It's unclear at what point this photo was taken, but it appears that after attempting to dig the car out, the man admitted defeat and phoned for help. According to NBC New York, the incident occurred at Island Beach State Park. A tow truck that responded to the scene with New Jersey State Police managed to free the car from the sand without issue. Because the driver had his permits in order, police did not ticket him. The NBC report also said that the owner decided to drive the car from the scene, even though the engine was apparently making weird noises and the electronics were going haywire. http://www.thedrive.com/watch-this/10354/watch-a-new-jersey-beach-swallow-a-land-rover-lr4
