My people, nice job going on here. I really appreciate you guys. My eyes have been on Europe, got a couple of admits. However, I have been in correspondence with a professor, the Director of a college program at the City University of New York, and he has offered me a scholarship that will cover my fall tuition only but with also a TA. Their is no full tuition waiver for masters students in the college. Their is nothing yet on the remainder of the semesters. I am quite confused on this. I know that CUNY is a very good school, but I am not ready to run into financial debt or loan. Please what do you guys think ? Thank you all.

No details about the course or your profile.
Even if you have full tuition waiver with stipends you'll still be broke in NY.

Do you know what it is like surviving in NY?

You will still have to go with the statement of the owner of the TBillz. He must have a source of income for the money in the T.billz, and that can't be proven unless his statement is assessed. Consular may ask for his statement. So, go with that, too.

Thanks

fairheart:
Sure.

Thanks
Can I use it in place of SOA?

Pls gurus in the house do you know if I can present treasury bill to the VO?

Hello house

Thanks for the info sofar...

Read something on here about candidates that a offered provisional admission, having a hard time securing visa's.

How true is this and what are the things one needs to have and know to prepare well for
the interview to convince the vo and land a visa ?!?

Why will one ever use such kind of admission to the embassy

So you mean out of close to 1000 schools all you could come up with is a school that gave you a non-regular admission?

All I see playing here is desperation.

You cannot convince the VO of getting a regular admission over there when you could not get it over here.
You'll run into the streets

Gernny:
For me I have 3 friends in USA are got student visa, and they said at the interview they didn’t ask them for bank statement,Most times they believe the school you applied for already checked the statement to be sure you have funds. So you can try ur luck for the interview.

That was then baba

Then boom. .. Nigerians started going to the embassy with cooked SOA from those agents.

Right now they put SOA under serious scrutiny.

Exemptions are those with funding that covers a lot of expenses.

So leave luck outta it. Some nasty people are trying to close the door for the innocent ones.

Since it is legit, kindly share it openly so that those already in abroad or those about to travel will benefit.

Like seriously?

As a new person in the house, I've been silently following the thread from the beginning to almost the middle, hoping to see a case I'm directly or indirectly involved in, but I couldn't. It will be of great help, if someone could please educate me on this,
I graduated with third class (1.89/5Gpa) and I'm thinking of doing Pgd and Master programs here in Nigeria before going for phD in US.
I've a secured job with one of the security outfits which I've so far spent about seven years in.
God's willing and things work as planned, I'll like to drop the job and pursue my educational career and subsequently relocate my family over.
Before then, I'd like to know, if I should go ahead with Pgd and Master Programs here and after which I move to US for phD.
Thanks as I'm waiting for your beneficial advice.

You sure need to do Pgd and if possible masters before considering a Phd in the US after taking the GRE.

So start making the move now!

NOUN is a globally accepted school so you can still work and earn your degree at the school.

What course?

Dust yourself and up your game.
