A lot of professionals are now on the thread dishing out disparaging remarks to people that just got denied without any soft landing. Even to the point of saying you will be denied again. Let's get things right.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Going through transcripts from part 7 for my own interview..I read the compiled denied visas. And their opinions were a bit mild than what will have now. They gave reasons for denial...tips for the next interview and words of encouragement.
And to those beating on people to drop transcripts it will be done on their pace.

And do you know how many of our predecessors have ruined things up for us right now??

Going to the embassy with fake SOA and the likes?

I really don't understand your point.

We are in a time far different where desperation needs to be put in check to keep the sanity of the system for the good of our future.

Anyone denied that needs help have to drop their transcript that's how it was done.

I seriously need advise and correction from the gurus in the house, I’ve reapplied, scheduled for next month.....although my dad doesn’t have that much in his account, but my uncle does(maternal uncle) .what should be the appropriate response in my next interview if asked why were you denied previously?, and what has changed in your application. Actually I’ve not gone for nysc yet, I intend doing it after msc.....I need advice on how to go about the next interview pls

Ignorance just played all over in your interview.
I don't know if you think the interview is a TV show.
You put your Dad as sponsor and went with your uncle's SOA and still went ahead to mention your Dad.

I feel you're too desperate and your lies are unnecessary.


What's your total deficit?
What's the closing balance on your uncle's SOA?
How much does your dad have on his SOA?

You need to put in more effort in practicing for the interview.
Your response can hardly impress the really inquisitive VOs.

Me: The recommendation from my Uncle. They offer a course I want to study Information Technology and management which happens to have a detailed course content that Aligns with my career goals.

I was honestly caught unaware. I wanted to speak then I stuttered and I started again.
I responded : The tech industry in Nigeria is a booming sector . After i obtain my MSc in Information Technology, coupled with my Bsc in Computer Science and the work experience I have gathered as a Data analyst , I would be equipped with more knowledge and experience bla bla. ( honestly at this point I lost composure )
To be qualified and fit to work in reputable organizations and also my contribute to my uncles tech company ... bla bla

She asked the question again
Why this course?

I had to find how to repeat myself but I know and remember that I didn’t repeat what I said earlier word for word ( and it’s very possible that what I said earlier wasn’t satisfactory, hence her reason for asking again)

She then interrupted and asked

What companies are you looking to work in when you return ; I said Microsoft, Intel, ( I feel like I should have mentioned just one organization) to make it seem like there’s a certain organization and post I’m looking to go after when I return with my MSC

VO : on your last trip to the US did you stay with your Uncle . I said Yes . She was the one that used her mouth to say UNCLE ( and I actually remembered that I’ve been asked this question either on my DS-160 for my B1/B2 or at the point of entry during one of my visits to the US and it has always been my Aunty)
I now said and also , my AUnty . We are also related. In the most hasty tone ever

You're expected to have detailed reasons for choosing your intended school.

Don't ever have the feeling that the VO is impressed due to facial expressions. Your response to how did you hear about the school and why this school is nothing to impress .

I think you need some drilling on how questions should be answered.

Next thing he was blank...afterwards what we heard was that because dey have professional lecturers...The VO had to stop him and explained to him that every university lecturer is a professional.

Hi, been a silent follower. Visa delayed today at Lagos. I figured I can do better. Had to go make another visa fee but my status has not changed on CGI for me to get a date. Does anyone know when it will be updated. School resumes in August I believe I can get it this time

You're not allowed to change your DS 160 3 days before your interview.

You can be denied for misrepresentation

As far as it is not a lump sum you can go with both.

There is barely time to request a new I20. If not the best option is to let the office reflect the exact deficit from the SOA on the I20 and not the closing balance

She has a full tuition scholarship of 17k leaving her with other expenses which is 21k. But on the I20 attached to the sponsors name is 38k. Which is way higher than the actual deficit of 21k. But she said the sponsor's SOA covers the 38k tho

I know 2 people on this thread that was denied for this reason.

The VO kept saying the uncle can never be able to foot the bill for one of them.

The scholarship is supposed to reduce the deficit but the school used the closing balance of the SOA which was very huge so it looked like the total deficit is huge.

Is it possible to hold two assistanship position in same school?

Depends on the hours per week for each.
You are only permitted to work maximum of 20 hours so you can get as many employment as long as they don't exceed 20 hours.

My uncle is paying 24k dols. However, he has in his SOA 46k dols. My assistanship is 23k+ So my schl added them up (23k+ 46k) which made a total of 70k dols.

The left side and right side of the I20 has no reconciliation.


That 70k total confused the VO and it is very similar to what I have seen in two other transcript.
