Marjoribanks: Please bro, can I use UPS for my i-20. It cheaper than others but I don't know if their service is good and fast. Thank you in anticipation of your quick response. Yeah DHL is the most expensive and most effective..( I highly recommend this) UPS and FedEx are not bad. |

tellbiodun: Thank you so much for your prompt response. I just feel broken because I've been on this since last year July. I work in consulting presently but i really want to be a lecturer and I feel time is really flying. How do I even start? When is the earliest opportunity that I can commence a post graduate degree in the US after this fall season? Is December possible or my next opportunity is Spring? Please which schools can I apply to that I can get full funding of any kind in their Communications or Creative Writing Department. My first degree is in Communication Arts. For Bank statement, my husband and I will commence working on beefing it up. Where there is a will, there is a way. PM me. |

Yesterday immediately after I got approved I checked my status...it showed that my case is on necessary administrative processing..I asked and was told that that is the normal step b4 it is issued.. They will likely confirm that the funding you got is genuine. |

omohakin: You still don't get my point. I clearly stated in my writeup. If the fellow can get hold of the bank statement. Why not go with it. I insist that I saw how many times she read through that thing. Something else I noticed..the moment I aswered yes to that question and presented the financial statement. She gave me back almost immediately. If you can hit the nail on the head while delay?. like I said. IF the fellow can get the statement...why not. For me, I never planned going with it. Three nights before my interview, I woke up and felt the strange urge to go with it and it worked for me.
This platform is for sharing informations most especially personal experiences that rarely occur so others can learn. It is just a different experience from norm. I understand your point Bro. I just shared my experience. Very apt. You make a lot of sense. |

omohakin: What if the VO requests for other document like mine. please kindly advice the fellow to go with since she/he can get it. Nobody knows what else is written on her/his funding letter or sort which the fellow didn't disclose. Yes it might not lead to a denial but from experience I saw how many times the VO read through that clause on my letter and the stern look on her face. My I20 clearlys shows no deficit (0). In my opinion. Let the fellow disclose any of such info in the funding letter. A better advice can be given. You still would have been issued bro. Take it from me |

omohakin: Please try and go with it. I had a similar situation. No deficit on my i-20 but the VO requested for the confirmation of my funding. Which I presented. she read through line by line and saw where I was asked to pay 1k USD for a semester. Although the letter also indicates this fund can be deducted from my pay installmentally but still the VO asked if I have any financial statement for this purpose. I feel itz better to present a financial statement in such a situation. This shows despite being funded, you still have something at your disposal. It doesn't mean you would have been denied if you had no SOA. The I20 clearly shows no deficit and I have not seen anyone denied for such. |

Dhebie19: I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment since yesterday but I’ve not been able to login my profile. The pop up keeps saying “Login failed please check username and password.” I auto saved my login details so I’m sure that’s not the issue.
The last time i logged in to check available dates they wrote “approaching the number of times required to view this page” could that be the reason?
Anyone with similar issue? Please help Please reset your password . The limit of trying to reschedule is around 5 times after which you are restricted from rescheduling for ONLY 24 hours after which it resets and you can reschedule again. Clear the inputs by the auto save and manually enter it. Like I said you can reset your password too. |

tellbiodun: Dear Nairalanders,
Please I need your help with regards to directions for my F1 visa application for a post graduate degree. Because, I am a novice in this area, I went through an agent and paid a large amount of money. But I have suffered untold delays in the hands of the agent coupled with a shoddy handling of the admission process. It is a tale for another day. Presently, I have admission for fall 2019 for University of Akron Ohio - MA Communication and Media Studies. Yet to get my i20 and I've been told to pay for visa fees to beat time. What chances do I have seeing that I couldn't get funding of any kind? My undergraduate CGPA is 3.88 and I got 92 in TOEFL. There's not much to my bank statement except I'm able to get a sponsor which I am trying to before time. I am female, married,in my early forties. I have two children who I want to travel with. I am prepared to start the process all over again to ensure I get it right. Please advice me. Thank you and God bless. Sorry about the manipulations of the agent. But keep this in mind, you cannot go to the US with kids without having a very STRONG financial support. Infact, even with Full Funding, the VO still wants to know what your husband does and how he will support the kids because full funding is meant for the student not the family. I don't know what the agents have told you. . but I advice you to wait and get it right as you've said. |

Time2win: One month difference is still okay, but anything outside that, it's not advisable. The essence is to have hassle free interview. Some V.O might accept those printed two to 3months earlier, some might not. The right thing to do is to go with the latest, that's one printed few days or few weeks to your interview. Very Valid. |

Check out this. If you are a member of educationusa, you can ask your advisor. They always emphasize on the latest 6 months bank statement. Thank you! I needed that clarification. Latest 6 months is not specific. It is better to go with an SOA closing in the month of interview but that doesn't mean going with one ending 1-3 months before the interview is invalid. |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Brown2Green(m): 9:23am On Jun 11, 2019 |
Time2win: You are confusing the whole thing. They said the bank statement should be for the last 6months. If your interview is June, your 6months should start from June. Not when the bank statement was issued. From your reasoning, you can take one from August to January since it's issued in January and it's 6months period, that's wrong way to calculate it. Please can you drop any link to verify this? Preferred from the US official site. We need to be very sure of such sensitive issue. |

dreambound: As far as the school is not buying you flight tickets you still have a deficit. This is not true. Please say what you are very certain of. The VO ONLY works with the figure stated on the I20. If the deficits on the I20 is $0.00 , then there is no need for a SOA. |

Dhebie19: thank you for all your contributions here Yes i do understand! But he doesn’t want to disclose such information hence the reason why he printed the first two pages and last two pages making it a total of 4 pages but covers from November to may. plus I felt carrying over 300 pages of statement to the embassy will bore the VO.
I got an assistantship that comes with complete tuition waiver and stipends but I still want to know if the SOA be acceptable. Congrats on your Full Funding that's very important. So focus on your funding and pray the VO doesn't ask you why you didn't bring a detailed SOA because you should NEVER say such as the reason. |

Dhebie19: Hi brainy! I’m in a similar situation. Mine is only 4 pages but covers from November to may 27
Hello all,
When my sponsor eventually sent me the SOA, it was just a page of 2 days transaction tho the opening balance and closing is more than sufficient like x5 of my deficit.
The transaction on the single paper is just 2 days as he as protecting his privacy to send me more than that.
Pls would this be sufficient to present to the VO? You should understand the essence of SOA. It is not basically to show the opening and closing balance. It is also to see the cash flow over a period of months of which 3 months should be the minimum. |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Brown2Green(m): 8:25am On Jun 11, 2019 |
Olumuyiwalasode: This is wrong, you obviously didn't get his question. He was simply saying the statement has a duration from November to April, and his interview is in June; it means the statement was issued and printed in April, which is still within the 6 months period, so yes, He can take it to the embassy since his interview is this June! He sure can use it . Very Valid |

Tohajan: I did this but I didn't get the receipt, which I learnt must be taken along to interview. Although some digits were attached to the transaction details which I used as the receipt number while booking appointment.
Do I still have to find a way to get a printed GTB visa receipt? I mean is it a must I go to interview with the visa receipt? Yes a must! Infact you'll be sent back without your receipt. That documents showing the digits is your receipt and you were supposed to print it. A receipt was generated for you, you must have skipped printing it. Call GT Bank customer care to support you to that regards. |
