Literature / Troubled Mind. by Brown999: 11:34pm On Jul 08, 2022
A troubled mind, a troubled soul
Singing out the word, why did I
It hurts so bad, it breaks me
Worries and pain, lives and breathe with me
A troubled mind I am
A troubled soul seeking for peace

I cried drops of rain
Hoping to see the future with you
I guess fate, got another vision
'I am sorry ' my heart pleads
It is so sad you left
You left forever
You will always be in my heart forever, even when we are not together anymore

I know what I need is time
A time to heal
A time to forgive myself
A time to leave the past at the door
A time to tell myself I can do it
A time to love me, and a time to move on

So I just watch the space, and watch magic happens
Thank you for sharing my journey with me.
Literature / Fantasy. by Brown999: 6:08pm On Jun 17, 2022
It is sudden, that you are leaving now
My heart still lives for you
You wanted me
You did your best
Maybe I am not the best for you
After several years, without you
I made a call to you
Told you, I am sorry for hurting you
I am ready for the journey with you
It is absolutely too late
I want us back together again
I want to hold your hands forever
I want to sleep and wake up, with you by my side
But it is just a fantasy, that is never happening
I still love you
I can't think of falling inlove again, cause my heart still lives for you
I hate to say goodbye
Life happens in ways, we can't define
Boluwatife.
Literature / Cry by Brown999: 9:44am On May 02, 2022
In a difficult picture
When you are speechless
Of what is the next move
With no clue of what the next step is
I just cry

Crying does not really solve the problems, but it makes me better
Anytime I am having a bad time
I cry
I feel i am alive

Crying does not make me weak
It only makes me strong.

Literature / Religion, As A Social Problem In Nigeria. by Brown999: 3:16pm On Mar 20, 2022
Religion is the service and worship of God, or the supernatural. It is also the belief in an everlasting God
A social problem is a problem that affects many people within a society. It is also a social condition that damages the society
Real quick, i am going to be discussing how the word religion is damaging the society in Nigeria, in a sociological perspective

Crime not seen as a sin
Embezzlement of funds, false prophecies are welcome in many churches. It is never an offense to them. Even criminals are celebrated and praised. The church is now a home for an evil doer

Rivalry
Competition exist in many churches in Nigeria. Members competing among themselves for religious supremacy and recognition. This is not sane in the house of God
Many members come to church, just to compete with others in best attire, while some can even go to the space, to get an acceptance from the pastor

Many churches in Nigeria, have embraced the materialistic world, forgetting about the salvation through the word of God

Religion has become the reasons why wrongs are never forbidden. Using the word religion to destroy other worship centers, or as a right to killing
Religion is divine, but it is devastating to see how some individuals exploit religion to ruin the society

Don't get me wrong
I am a Christian
I believe in God
I believe in religion
But this is my relationship with human, about religion in Nigeria
From a proud sociologist.

Literature / Lost In The Sea by Brown999: 5:13pm On Jan 29, 2022
Amaka got passion for modeling, that is all she ever desires, and she is ready to do anything, just to make this happen
The journey
She was 17 when she got on the strange journey, to europe from Nigeria, her neighbor introduced to her, how she can get to europe by sea, with small money
Amaka was a fashion designer and a model, she believes traveling abroad will be a success story for her
On her journey, Danger was smiling right at her, she witnessed many dreams became destructive
She was breathing death, she saw corpses of travellers, hope for a brighter life all gone, in the desert
She was lost, why didn't her neighbor tell her, it was a dangerous move. Either she makes it alive or dead. It is a battle for the strong
Amaka conquered when she was off, the rescue ship in spain
Relief
Amaka and other illegal immigrants were rescued by the spain emergency services, and was given medical treatment by the aid workers, while minor immigrants like amaka, were the right of the Local authorities
Victory
Fortunately for amaka, the spanish government has accepted a reform for immigrants, that are minor, who arrived into spain alone
The immigrants minor are to get residence and work permit, immigrants only need to wait for 3 months to apply
Amaka got the opportunity to work as a model, with a fashion brand. She was happy her dream became a reality, but the horrible experiences of her journey to europe, lives in her heart forever
Counsel
Amaka got it all now, her dream job, a work as a brand ambassador with a fashion firm, but she will never advise anyone to engage in a tragedy, by traveling to europe by road. Witnessing death alive at the mediterranean sea, and being hungry for weeks, even to get a cup of water to drink was difficult
It is better to stay alive, than to put your life on a menace, cause you want to travel to europe
Anyone that wants to travel abroad, should go through the right process, getting an international passport, a Visa, ofcourse some money
Stop establishing your life at risk, all because you want to travel abroad. I know some people will say, life is a risk, but it is better to be alive to live life.

Few hours to new year, and my folks got to give me a new year gift. Guess what. I was asked to bring husband home, what a gift.
I can't even tell my mum, i have a friend that is aguy, and not about boyfriend. Really
Seems so weird, but that is the reality.
Literature / Addiction by Brown999: 4:43pm On Dec 10, 2021
My name is Lolu, i am 19 years old, when you are talking about wealth, influence and power. You are talking about my father.
I attend one of the most expensive University, in Nigeria, where class is an idol
At school my friends and i, were notorious, violent and evil. No one can stand us
All we do at school, are drugs, alcohol and women. Education was never our priority
My friends and I, were so addicted to drugs, that we consumed drugs every day. Anytime we don't have money to get drugs, i go home to my parents, and let them know i need some money. Sure i am going to get the money, cause my father is a rich man, and he can't watch me suffer
On the 13th of july 2012, a sad event happened, i could remember me and my friends were high on drugs, we were lost
We were all inside the car, going to a party, i was invited, by my girlfriend
I was the one driving, boom a fatal accident happened. I realized i was at the hospital. I saw my parents standing by my side, with my mother's look, i knew i got million dollar questions from her
I asked about my friends, i was told they are responding to treatment
On my third day at the hospital, i told my mum, about the horrible accident. I let her know i am a drug addict, and I promise her, i am departing from drugs forever. I could have died, because of the drugs I consumed, but I still had a chance to be alive. I am never ever, going back to drugs.
Drug abuse only destroys.
Literature / Blood And Power by Brown999: 1:06am On Sep 11, 2021
The Endsars movement was created, because of the inhuman and evil conducts of the Nigerian force officers (Police, army and many others)
As a young guy, with a car, driving on the road is terrible, fear of the unknown force officers, asking for the source of your income, cause you are young, rich and making waves
It is so difficult for them to believe a 20 years old is an artiste, writer, footballer, fashion designer, dancer, and making money, buying a car and an apartment, is not a big deal for him
Some aggrieved youths decides it is time for a better life
The protest starts now ( Endsars
End police brutality)
Oct 20 2020
4pm
Mrs tokunbo's apartment
Desola was with her friend, taiwo in the living room, watching a fascinating movie on Africa magic, mrs tokunbo with her melodious voice was in the kitchen, cooking jollof rice
Desola and taiwo are going for the protest at lekki toll gate by 6pm, never knowing the disaster that is about to happen
Mrs tokunbo's jolly jollof rice was ready, desola and taiwo had a blast, with the jollof rice, and were set for the strange journey
Lekki toll gate
Desola and taiwo are now at the lekki toll gate with other protesters, lifting protests cards, with bitter emotions. We want a better life, Being creative is not a crime, Dear police officers, it is okay to become a fashionista
Dark times
An announcement was made that by 7pm, no protester should be at lekki toll gate. To the protesters it was funny, and some were adamant to leave. They were ready for war, ready for any challenge.
A massacre
What was a peaceful protest, became a tragedy. Even with the patriotic waving of the Nigerian flags, many were shot dead by the Nigerian army.
Agony was in the air, desola and taiwo were running for safety, mrs tokunbo was breathing worries
Danger was everywhere, a stray bullet hit taiwo, when she was running with desola, and she died immediately. What a cruel night. Desola kneel beside her friend, and cried, a cry of lost hope. Even the Nigerian army denied killing her friend
Desola was never herself, she was a witness of a massacre, a witness of power drunk army officers
She got home safely and shared her terrifying story with her mum, mrs tokunbo. She was devastated and said the state of Nigeria is super pathetic.
The protesters are our heroes and heroines, ready to die for a great nation, even thou many died, but heroes never die.

October 20. Never ignore.

Shit hurts, but i promise
I am not gonna cry
It is so weird how lovers, become strangers suddenly
I try to forget about the memories, and the smell of flowers of you
But I find myself, dwelling in the ocean of you
I just want to let go, and be free
But I promise, I am not gonna cry, and if I am gonna cry. I am not going to cry now.

But i think i need to let go
Tell me you love me
Tell me you will, never let me down
I don't wanna get a broken heart
I really want to know if you need me
Tell me you want me, tell me you won't let go, cause my heart aches.
Do you love me, or i should let go.

Literature / 18 And Pregnant by Brown999: 9:50am On Dec 17, 2020
Mama last word to me, that faithful night, was never to attend the party, but I believe i was no more the little baby, mama carry on her lap, to tell the sweet fairy tales.
My name is Gold prestige, if famous is a name, it is going to be me. In my high school, every one knows me, i can shake and move the school, at any freaking time.
I sneak out of the house, without mama having a clue, oh yes she is a genius.
Music blowing in the air, sweet melodies, no one can resist. The club was blazing, everywhere was on fire. Finally I am free, i am free like a bird
Antonia my friend, was right beside me, super excited to have me around, she introduced her friend mayowa to me. Mayowa is tall, handsome and hot. I was captivated by his smiles, i really wanna hold him, and never let go.
Antonia had to excused us, and give us some space. I was lost, yeah I just met him, but i was swimming in an ocean of love already. He led us outside, to have some quiet time, at that moment I was speechless, all I want was him. We sat inside his car, discussing about work, life and music. I never knew when he kissed me, i felt alive, i could not resist him, his hands were all over me, i could not say no, i kept asking for more
We had it, it was slow and amazing, i never wanted to let go, i got back to my senses, after the whole scene
This is not happening to me, what was mama gonna say, the thought of being pregnant was driving me crazy
Five weeks later, i was feeling dizzy, i had to go to the hospital. I got a surprise, when the doctor told me i was pregnant.
My life changed real quick within a twinkle of an eye, what am I going to tell my parents. Am I really going to tell mama that I was pregnant. I called mayowa on the phone, to let him know about the development, he was angry, he was worried. I told him I can't abort the baby. He said he is only 19, and too young to be a father
I got home feeling sad, i just got an admission at the university of lagos, to study medicine, but that dream was about to die, cause I got pregnant, but I will keep the dream alive, cause this baby is gonna be a blessing to me
Mama was in the living room, reading nation newspaper. Mama afternoon. I am sorry, i hurt you, i know you never wanted this now, but it happened. Mama i am pregnant. She was lost, she was cold, this wasn't what I
wanted. I am sorry mama, please forgive me. Who is the father, i told her about mayowa, he told her he is not ready for marriage, but he will accept his baby
Being pregnant was a challenge to me, but I never let it stop me, i kept going and never let go. I got an admission to study medicine at the university of lagos. My child is my happiness, my child is my future.

On getting to the police station, akan was labeled a Yahoo boy, cause he got dreads, and was using an expensive phone. Dude had to beg to make a contact with his friend, who came for his bail. Popo got to know that your appearance, does not define you. Dreadlocks does not make you a criminal, an expensive phone, does not you a criminal.
