Police report(certificate) and medicals done today,however my police certificate says its valid for 3months to travel... thought its always valid for 6months or a year ?is there something wrong with it or the normal thing written on every other certificate?kindly respond&shed light. thank you..

Photos of you and some of his family members as well as photos of him and your family members are equally very important.

Dear poster,go with intro pictures oo,it’s very important in the sense that it helps your case for them believe that y’all have a bonafide relationship,I went with mine and the co saw them and he didn’t even bug me about them so I advice you go with them

see hen,as far as I’m concerned,these things do not go how we’re told or what weve read,you’re not only been asked questions,you’re having a conversation with the C.O.even tho he asked these things,there were still some things he asked that I don’t remember and all the things that I did wahala to get,they were not asked for,he only asked for pictures and he didn’t even look At everything,just flipped through 4-5 of them and gave me 2 white papers.the interview didn’t Even take up to 4minutes

i finally got a response from Lagosiv this morning as regards validity date extension after two weeks of writting/reminder.. here is a screenshot of the response same as above in previous pages of this thread..

You don't need to worry, your petition is automatically extended since you have booked your interview appointment before the expired date.

See the attached message my fiancee got from embassy when he wrote the embassy to extend my petition because we couldn't get any date before the expiration date.

It doesn't take long. Mine was within 48 hrs, the response was

As advised in our previous correspondence; during your interview, you should present documents/evidence to the Consular officer to show that you qualify and justify why the petition should be extended. In order to qualify for a K-1 visa, the beneficiary/applicant must convince the Consular officer that he or she has a bona fide spousal relationship with the petitioner. The decision to extend the validity of the petition will be at the discretion of the interviewing officer. However, if you are unprepared for this interview it is not likely the petition will be extended.

So after the interview, it was extended for four months starting from the date of interview.(i.e if interview date: Jan16th, then petition expiration: may 16th.

Just keep calm n prepare hard. We will join you in prayers. All the best.

I believe the confirmation number you have currently on the appointment letter would be that of your previously filled DS 160 form.

In order to rectify, u will need to call them giving the new confirmation number of the just filled DS 160 form. As soon as it is rectified, u will get a mail from them.

To print WhatsApp chats, go to the top right corner of your chat page and click on export chat. You can send it to your email and then download and print. I don't recommwnd you print everything unless if it just a few pages. What I did was to print a page of chat per month. i also screenshot those particular chats and printed as well.

1. If I am flying to the states with Emirates through dubai do I need a transit visa ? Layover is just 4hrs before connecting to Boston.

2. Are the USA immigration /customs at the dubai airport, will that be my point of entry ?

@capello1 I know of question 2, the immigration/customs at the dubai airport are not your port of entry ooo they are dubai immi&customs,your own POE is the US immigration officers at boston your final destination,dont know if you are on a k1 visa or not but if you are dont give them your k1 packet envelope oo ,if its being tampered with there or opened there,it could poise serious P for you or you could be turned back at POE (boston)God forbid..
The other question our elders in this forum would answer it ..cheers

There's also the need to go with the letter of marriage commitment from you guys within 90 days. I also recommend you go with the documents your fiance submitted in the i129f along with affidavit of support supporting documents (eg copy of fiancee birth certificate, international passport, tax returns, bank statement, employment letter, etc). You can also go with documents that supports what you filled in DS-160.

That's the reason why the ideal thing is to complete and submit the DS160 form before booking an appointment date.

If she had filled a DS160 form in the past, it would have automatically been linked to that and she would just need to call them to change....but I guess this is her first DS160 form.

Yes it my first@sharpman1 �� ,we wanted to book appointment since it was difficult getting dec date&my petition was expiring so abit paranoid that with all the waitings we have done,it was from this forum i read that one can mail the embassy for extension on the validity date tho at the discretion of the CO which i already did&expecting to hear from them 2morrow... am glad i found this forum a month ago and a big thank you to everyone supporting with useful info here and there for people.. i have learnt alot here..thank you guys..#xoxo

In my own case, I stated all the info on my DS 160 and that of my appointment confirmation in the email.The correction was done same day.

Thanks @omokaba2019 yeah i was filling the form and looking for available appointment couldnt find any close to the date my petition lld expire cos it was to expire nextmonth dec,so had to quickly pick a january date before it goes again hence couldnt submit before appt,so a email can suffice too instead of a call to them?thank you

@anjiee my ds160 confirmation number is 10 &alphanumeric as you wrote above but its not showing on my interview appointment letter,my appointment letter has it own confirmation with numbers and lots of alphabets sis its so long and has a UID code under it.. dont know which is appointment number ..if i am asked to call it for them its too except the UID num..
Lastly which number should i call for the correction on my appointment letter so that it can show my ds 160 app confirmation number.. is it the one above with nigeria@traveldoc above?kindly shed more light pls.. thanking you in advance

thank you @anjee i appreciate your response i already mailed nigeria@traveldoc last week monday they replied me 2days after with a mail that they understand the date available was what i picked/was past the validity date on my app petition that however for the validity extension i should email the embassy directly at lagosiv which i hve already copied them the same mail i sent to travel docs,so expecting their response this week too.. for the correction on my appointment letter and application letter would do as you advise and update u and @legitbachelor as it progresses.... i appreciate you ..God bless you..onenlove

You are fine. I also had similar issue when i was trying to Schedule a date in October 2018. My petition was to expire in January 11 but the earliest available date was January 22. So I picked that date (January 22) and went for the interview prepared. I also sent the Embassy an email to tell them I couldn't pick any other earlier date.

My petition validity was extended without me even knowing. It was when I got my Passport that I saw the extended validity on the Visa Stamp.

Guys, I'm now in the States

I entered the States (Dallas Fort Worth) with a one way flight. Was anticipating having issues with the airlines and was ready for them. Was ready to lecture them on what K1 Visa means, lol. But I didn't have any issues at all.

I made sure my medical envelope was in my backpack. When we arrived, I was directed straight to the CBP guys who took the envelope and tore it right in my very eyes. I was directed to a room to wait. I met like 5 guys there. After a while, it was my turn and they gave me back my passport along with a yellow form (I think it's for agric quarantine) and took me straight to the luggage section where I'm to claim my luggage. Was told to go straight to the agric section once I get my luggage.

Luckily my luggage was not searched. Was only asked if I came with fresh seeds which I said no. I only had processed food which have been partly cooked and/or grounded. So they just passed my luggage through an X-ray machine and let me go.

And that was it! My finacee was waiting for me on the other end. It was so emotional for me.

Thanks guys for the active participation. I promise to still keep in touch. This visa journey is a continuous one. Will always keep you all updated. I enjoin us to do the same too.

For appointment booking with Qlife family clinic,you will need to send them a mail,addy:usmedicals@qlife.com
They will respond to you and give you procedures on what to do&co,attached herewith is a copy of their medical fees as at november 3rd that i visited them to make enquiries from their customer services
