U welcome bro, sorry if my reply came in late, we did vouching today, just returned from secretariat, okay straight to your question, it all depends on what you want bro, like i said before social life is nothing here, even in osogbo, here are list of major towns, Ilesa, Ede, Osogbo, i heard ejigbo is cool but have not been there, then Ifelodun, am serving there and is like 10 mins to osogbo, i cant tell you the best place because i dont know what you want, but before you do anything you have to decide, like the girl i made reference to in my previous post, i personally gave her all the tips on nairaland, u can go through their thread 13A and during their passing out of camp i followed my local govt, to pick new corpers from camp and i saw her, she got osogbo but she had accomodation problem, its quite expensive there and she told me if she had an alternative she would go to other town where cost of living, so be very mindful of where u run ur posting to if u have no other source of income, 19k is not enough money to spend in a month trust me, and also remember your PPA wont provide you with accomodation and even if they do, you cant stay except u want a ghetto life, the state alawi is 5k and it comes after the first 7 months of service, so u only source is 19800, so going to osogbo you need consider so many things, transport, and also feeding which is on a high side compare to other town, in my LG, my apartment is 35k a 2 bedroom flat, if it where to be in osogbo am sure it will be btw 80 to 90k, food is cheap here and believe me, the place is okay, so strategies very well, make u no chop ur eye...LOL

second question, IFE is cool since the uni is there, but i can assure you its only the environ where u have the school that is open, other place dem fit use am for ultimate search, mind you there is Ife north and South or more self, so think well what if you dont get posted close to the uni. which is ur major target for choosing there.

I forget to add, there is this issue people in osogbo contend with, they are well monitored compare to we in other towns, they most be in their PPA 7:30 in the morning, you cant travel and inspectors monitoring you and all that, so think well and u can also go through previous thread if it will be of help.

Arrant nonsense, opon imo abi na kpomo imo, i still do not know the brain behind aregbe's useless policy, Osun state is still the most backward state in terms of education, am presently serving here and i can say this is a wrong step by the state governor, a state where they dont have up to 3 teachers, they rely solely on corpers and OYES ( teaching practice student ) for teaching this children, in my school only 5 staff, 1 principal, 2 vps and 3 teachers, only 2 of the teachers go to school, the school is about the best in the local government and i wonder what would be happening in the rest, this is the only state that an ss3 student can not speak common pidgin english fluently not to talk of writing it down, student still sit on the ground and a few bring chairs from home, there is no desk in class, our government only engage in project that would benefit them, am sure the money he looted from the so called omoluabi uniform is finished and they looking for avenue to loot more, theres been several occasions for days there would be no chalk in school, during test and exams this children sit on the ground to write exams, why cant aregbe employ more qualified staffs/teachers instead of relying on corpers who come and go and Osun state college of education who most times they themselves cant even speak english, in my school a teacher was caught teaching english with yoruba, if i have the time i will post some script of this student test and exam on this forum for this man to be engaging in all this useless project that would not stand the test of time, in their just concluded waec, even the invigilators from waec are the one pleading with corpers to assist the student, is just a shame for people who are not in the state to be celebrating aregbe for this failed policy

Yes you can, there are several ways u can do this in camp

1. Go to camp early and join the OBS crew, it will make u get close to the nysc officials also save you all the stress of going to parade and participating in unnecessary camp actitivities

2. Through paticipatory in camp activities, football, volleyball and other activities, most state usually have their football team, so they would want them all be in the same place for regular training, they mostly in state capital

3. Band and matching activities, @ platoon levels if you join the parade team, that can help get good posting, but the best is going to camp early to join the NYSC marching team (not sure of their names ) those set of people get posted to their state capital and also join the band team, u sure of getting the state capital in ur various camp becos thats a cds group on its own.

Meanwhile plan ahead very well and know ur financial status as u knw u hv a limited resources during nysc 19800, is not getting state capital tht the problem, but having the resources to live there is wht matters most, i gave this info, in the batch A thread, and one of the girl posted to my state followed and was posted to the state capital osogbo, at the end she regretted going to osogbo because of accomodation problem, if u get posted to states where accomodation is on the high side, believe me u going to regret ever coming to nysc, the money u will used to renting a room in some state capital would be enough for u to rent a room and buy other stuff in otheal govt. So be very mindful of where u run ur posting to, considering ur financial status

Note: be mindful of nysc officials and soldiers tht would tell u they can help influence ur posting, most girls for prey to this in every camp, they cant do jack my brother, nysc posting start from the very day u enter camp and do ur reg. Dont listen to anyone tht wld ask u for money.
