logicboy: Children in the West are better than your corrupt Nigeria. Better educated, better healthcare and better opprotunites when they grow up.

How many of your Nigerian children grow up to be Neurosurgeons, roacket scientists or CEO's of multinational companies?

geez let's not go there. There are just as many african doctors as black american doctors. -_-

frosbel: This is why children in the west are rotten to the core, tell me , where are Pastor's parental rights to discipline his wayward daughter ??

Not all western people but that was a bit much. I'm all for spanking bad kids but slamming them to the concrete ain't the way to go about it although some kids will take you there. Reserve that type of violence for fellow adults.

micklplus: Hmmmm, I saw this somewhere and I decided to share it here. What would you do if you were in the womans' shoe?

My hubby came home one night calmed and happy, I was surprised but happy. He's been out of control for sometime now, actually since I lost my dad two years ago. He became the CEO since my dad died, it was on the will for my husband to become the CEO and my baby brother the Managing director.
I've done everything in my power to make things right but whatever I do is not good enough. This wasn't the same Tayo that I married. My parents were rich but their two children were trained well. I was working in my dad's company until I had my second child. My dad told me to stay at home and take care of the kids because I refused to get a maid and my grandma that was helping passed away at the time.(I lost my mom five years ago too) I enjoyed every minute of being a wife and a mom until I lost my dad.
My husband came in that fateful day about three months ago, looked at me and said "I don't love you Kemi, I never did. I appreciate everything you have done but it is time I move on with my life. You can stay in this house, keep the cars and I'll arrange for monthly allowance for you and the kids. If your brother agrees with my lawyer's terms, I'll pay him generously for his share in the company. Thanks to your father, I owe the 70% of the company. Don't try to fight this, it is clearly written in your father's will."
I woke up the following day at the hospital and by my side was dad's lawyer, she looked at me and smiled! Two weeks later, the lawyer came to see me at home and to my surprise, she brought with her a letter handwritten by my dad. I wish I could hug dad at that very minute.
There was a clause in the will, if Tayo leaves me without any fault of mine or if he dies before me, I have to take over the company. Dad knew I could handle it, I've been working in the company since my first year in the university! Tayo came to the house two days after I saw dad's letter, begging me to forgive him. Should she forgive?
girl nooooooo! He showed his true colors

Brixtonyute: I dunno but I don't think I can ever get along with any naija chic born and raised in naija. It's like barking on the wrong tree.. Their sense of humour is dead, no fun in their lives, act like the whole world is about to fall on their heads, and they're freaking rude and arrogant (for no damn reason despite being fugly)..

I thought I could blend in on NL but these girls are a waste of time.. Very boring people!
Not fugly tho lol

the part about her formulating the lie. It is not impossible that the attack could have happened or for her to have bled for that long. When you cast stories like these off as lies when there is clearly proof that they occurred, then you have taken the side of the abuser.

Don't downplay abuse. Suffering that miscarriage at his hands is proof enough. I had a friend who lost about three pregnancies the same way. She did right to leave. He would have killed her.

Izuone: My girl travelled to see her child, relatives and parents on the last saturday of may.she warned me to not misbehave but unfortunately last friday i ran into my ex and took her home and knacked her akpako. She came back yesterday and when she came to my house she said the condom that was remaining before she travelled was five but now 3 remains ,what happened and also that it is not the same condom and that i should explain myself and give her two reasons why she should forgive me and why i couldn't hold myself for just ten days. I denied that i didn't use the condom ,that i didn't mess any body but she didn't agree with me. To make matters worse as she was searching the house she saw the old condom sachet and said that they are different ,that i should confess and she would forgive me. But for where ,how me i go confess . I denied and i am still denying. The truth is that there was 3 condoms as she left and i used 1 with my ex but i didn't see that same condom to buy and replace it ,so i bought another type and kept 3 of them where i normally keep condom and hid the rest but i didn't know she will spot the difference btw the two type of condoms. The denial is not working ,so am thinking whether i should confess . I told a friend ,he said that i shouldn't try it.i like this chick ,i don't want to lose her. It's a case of not knowing what you have till you are about to lose it. I need your advice ,how do i tread in this matter.
what poor self control. You made a choice and must accept what comes with it.

LocalChamp: Christian Militants In Southern Kaduna Threaten Fulani Herdsmen, Give Seven Days Evacuation Notice

By Saharareporters, New York
A militant Christian sect that first emerged last year in Christian-dominated Southern Kaduna again, today threatened to chase out Fulani herdsmen if they do not leave the area in the next seven days.

The group, known as AKHWAT AKWOP, said in an email to SaharaReporters through their spokesman, Bukarma Leguma, that it has “watched with disgust the unrelenting murders and killing of peaceful, innocent, and hardworking people by wandering bands of Fulani terrorist gunmen operating in southern Kaduna,” and urged the herdsmen to leave the area.

“AKHWAT AKWOP is also aware that the ultimate aim of the Fulani terrorist is to create a situation of insecurity in southern Kaduna whereby our people will not be able to utilize this farming season thereby leading to hunger, deprivation and famine in the land,” the statement said.
It warned that after the seven days of grace, which expires on June 10, AKHWAT AKWOP will declare “open season” on any Fulani found within their lands.

[Full text of the statement]:
Below is the full statement:

Greetings in the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

AKHWAT AKWOP has watched with disgust the unrelenting murders and killing of our peaceful, innocent, and hardworking people by wandering bands of Fulani terrorist gunmen operating in southern Kaduna.

Between January and June 2012, the Fulani terrorist have murdered over 100 innocent southern Kaduna people, the recent one at zonkwa claimed a father and son leaving others injured .

AKHWAT AKWOP is also aware that the ultimate aim of the Fulani terrorist is to create a situation of insecurity in southern Kaduna whereby our people will not be able to utilize this farming season thereby leading to hunger, deprivation and famine in the land

Rising from our national executive committee and field commander’s emergency meeting AKHWAT AKWOP resolves as follows

1. For so long we have restrained ourselves from reprisal attacks against these Fulani dogs from hell. We can and will no longer do so

2. Today 3/6/12 AKHWAT AKWOP gives all Fulani within southern Kaduna 7 days to leave. After these 7 days of grace which expires on 10/6/12 AKHWAT AKWOP declares open season on any Fulani found within our lands.

3. AKHWAT AKWOP assures all our peace loving and hardworking people of their safety in their homes, villages, highways and on their farms.

4. AKHWAT AKWOP reminds all that eternal vigilance in Christ Jesus is the price we pay for our freedom.

THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL!!!!!!!!!

REMAIN BLESSED

AKHWAT AKWOP

Romance / Re: My Dear, Wearing Skinny Jeans Is Not Romantic by brownusagirl(f): 7:21am On Jun 06, 2012
Orikinla: My Dear, So you think wearing skinny jeans makes you romantic? Excuse me, I don't think so. Skinny jeans are not good for people in hot climate. African youths are copycats of western fashion and their herd instinct has done them more harm than good. Let us be wise to separate sense from nonsense by doing what is good for us. It is silly for our young women to wear tights like ballet dancers in hot countries like Nigeria. It is harmful to your skin and your womanhood. Moreover you look cheap when you hawk yourselves as sex objects for male bidders. This was how female slaves were displayed and sold before the abolition of slavery. They were exhibited as sex objects. "See her assets. She has upright breasts and round buttocks. She can cook and she can fork." As if that is all God made a woman for? You are what you wear.
Haterrrrrr! Lol! Skinny jeans are cute especially with heels. Wearing them doesn't make you a prostitute and women all over the world are rocking them. Worry more about your own crotch rather than others. Some people don't get hot like you do.

fstranger6: Akata family, American family, who gives a damn!

Death is a debt we all owe. It doesnt matter if you are White, Black, Akata, Akata-Nigerian, Nigerian-American, death is no respecter of persons. Why open a thread for someone just because they are Americans when we have hundreds of no-name Nigerians yet to be accounted for. American family of 6, 10, 11, or 300 millions I dont give a shoit; doesnt make me care any less.

Stop using dividing words like akata because this was a black family whose lives where lost. Just because they lived in america means that people should not feel sad? It is silly to only want to care about nigerians. Even if they were white I would still feel sad for their families. Have a heart. Look at the black skin and not nationalities.
