Politics₦20 Trillion Is Missing From Nigeria's Federation Account - Olisa Agbakoba by brutustech(op): 12:16am On May 13
₦20 TRILLION IS MISSING FROM NIGERIA'S FEDERATION ACCOUNT.

I want to ask Nigerians one simple question, and I want us to actually answer it together: WHERE DOES OUR MONEY GO?

The money you collectively earn as a country, every kobo of oil revenue, every customs duty, every company tax, every regulatory fee, and every court fine. The money that supposedly funds our roads, schools, hospitals, and police.

Most Nigerians do not know this, so let me start with something that may shock you: Nigeria has a special bank account. It is called the FEDERATION ACCOUNT. The 1999 Constitution created it in Section 162. Every kobo of revenue the federal government collects on behalf of Nigeria is supposed to flow into that one account. Then it is shared among the federal government, the 36 states, and the 774 local governments according to a sharing formula.

That is the law. That is what the Constitution actually says.

In 2025 alone, according to the World Bank's Nigeria Development Update, ₦14.94 TRILLION of federation revenue was "deducted" before it ever reached the Federation Account. That is 39% — nearly two-fifths — of what Nigeria earned, gone before any state or LGA saw a single kobo.

In 2024, NNPCL — Nigeria's biggest revenue generator — was supposed to remit ₦1.1 trillion to the Federation Account. It remitted ₦600 billion. Where is the ₦500 billion?
There is currently an active FAAC investigation into allegations that NNPCL under-remitted $42.37 BILLION between 2011 and 2017. At today's exchange rate, that is roughly ₦12.91 trillion. For perspective, that is more than our entire 2024 federal budget. From one company. Over six years. And remember, these are just the leakages we know about.

MEANWHILE, WE ARE DROWNING IN DEBT

Nigeria's total public debt at the end of 2025 was ₦159.27 TRILLION (Debt Management Office, February 2026). In 2023, debt service consumed 78% of federal revenue. In 2024, it consumed 69%. The IMF and World Bank recommend countries keep debt service to 30–40% of revenue. We are nearly double that benchmark. Out of every ₦1 the federal government earned last year, almost 70 kobo went to paying back loans. That leaves 30 kobo for everything else: hospitals, schools, roads, police, military, civil service salaries, infrastructure, and security— for 220 million Nigerians.

And what are we borrowing for? In large part, we are borrowing to fund services that our OWN revenues — if they actually reached the Federation Account — should be funding. Let that sink in. We are borrowing money, at interest, to replace money we already earned but never collected properly.

This is why fuel is expensive. This is why school fees doubled. This is why your salary buys less every month. This is why hospitals have no drugs. This is why universities are always on strike. This is not corruption in the abstract. This is a constitutional account that has been broken for 25 years.
Section 162 of the Constitution created the Federation Account in 1999. But the Constitution did not say:
• Who is supposed to keep the account safely?
• How quickly money must be remitted after collection
• Who audits the account?
• What happens if you steal from it?
• Whether the public is allowed to see the records

Twenty-five years of silence on these questions has allowed every kind of administrative trick to take root. Agencies deduct "management fees" before remitting. NNPCL retains "costs" before paying in. Some agencies open unauthorised sub-accounts. Some collect cash and never remit. The 2023 House of Representatives investigation found that ₦8.7 trillion passed through the Treasury Single Account but agencies had proliferated unauthorised parallel accounts the whole time.

The Minister of Finance HERSELF admitted in 2024 that until August of that year, the federal government could not fully see its own balance sheet. Read that line again. In 2024, the people running the country could not see all the money the country had.

I know somebody will ask this in the replies, so let me address it now.

The Treasury Single Account was introduced in 2015 by Dr. Okonjo-Iweala as Finance Minister. It was a well-intentioned reform — consolidate government accounts, reduce leakage. And for a few years, it helped reduce the number of MDA bank accounts.

But here is the problem: the TSA is NOT in the Constitution. It was an executive memo. A circular. It can be undone tomorrow by any President. And worse, it covers Federal Government cash management — it does NOT solve the constitutional problem of revenues belonging to states and LGAs being deducted before they reach the Federation Account. The TSA addressed symptoms. It did not cure the disease. Hence ₦14.94 trillion still vanished in 2025 — a decade after the TSA was introduced.

Dr Olisa Agbakoba (SAN) released a policy paper this month titled "Where Is Our Money? Nigeria's Federation Account Crisis and the Case for Reform." I have read it. You should read it too.

The proposed fix is honestly so straightforward that it is almost insulting that we have not done it already.

Drop your thoughts below. Tag your senator. Tag your governor. Share this with one person who does not know.

2027: APC Supporters Call-out Kwara Governor Over Imposition Of Candidate

Why is Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq so determined to impose Yakubu Danladi-Salihu as his successor?

Is the Speaker really the only credible candidate from Kwara North or is this just about putting one of his “boys” there so he can keep control even after leaving office?

Kwara North is full of seasoned, intellectuals, and leaders.!So why narrow it down to just one person?

This move looks calculated pushing someone who has consistently aligned with the Governor without question. As Speaker, he presides over the House and plays an important role in approving government spending. That means every major financial decision of this administration has passed through him without resistance.

So the real question is: is this about competence… or about continuing a system where nobody questions anything?

PoliticsRe: Kwara: Governor Abdulrasak Accused Of Using Sponsored Rallies To Decieve Tinubu by brutustech(op): 11:07am On Apr 15
...Continuation

Other allegations centred around his family. For example, last year, PDP demanded a probe into the $800 million (this figure looks inconceivable) contract they alleged was secretly awarded to a company linked to the governor’s brother.

They also allege that another family member, Abass Abdulrasak, was involved in a transformer scam. That he was paid N138 million (70% of the total contract sum) for the supply of transformers without following state procurement laws.

In 2021, there were also allegations of massive corruption and contract racketeering within the Kwara State Universal Education Board (KWASUBEB).

The above are just an introduction to Abdulrasak’s misrule of Kwara; a detailed report on misrule in Kwara will reveal why he wants a third term, and why Yakubu is his preferred candidate.

While allegations of misgovernment may require evidence and paperwork to prove, Abdulrasak’s best friends and spin doctors will not deny his poor human relations skills.

Many won’t be surprised that he frittered away all the gains of O to ge within six months and that in less than seven years he has made enemies that will last a lifetime.

Let’s lay bare the facts.

Aisha Ahman-Pategi was a close confidant and Abdulrasak’s associate during the winter, but as soon as summer came, Ahman-Pategi became dispensable.

And Olasunbo Oyeyemi, one of Ahman-Pategi’s junior friends, a chemistry graduate, an administrative manager and public relations officer at a private school, Roemichs International School, Ilorin, became his buddy.

Oyeyemi was later appointed Commissioner of Finance, and Ahman-Pategi to the Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

A few months into Abdulrasak’s government, Ahman-Pategi claimed that the state’s Ministry of Finance under Oyeyemi diverted N300 million in Local Government funds, which was the beginning of the end of her friendship with Abdulrasak. She later resigned.

When the story of O to ge is being written, a section will be devoted to the contribution of BOB, who, as APC chairman, led the revolution.

After the success of the revolution, Abdulrasak found BOB surplus to requirements. He schemed to push him out of the party, and he succeeded.

There were allegations that when BOB was embarrassed and beaten by Good Boys, who tore his clothes at Banquet Hall opposite Government House, the Kwara government was behind the attack.

Others who played prominent roles in the O to ge revolution but were dumped by Abdulrasak include Shuaib Oba-Abu, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Lai Muhammed, Gbemi Saraki, Lukman Mustapha, and other stalwarts who supported his rise to power.

Even Adams Oshiomhole, then APC National Chairman and President Bola Tinubu, then APC National Leader, were red-carded.

When Moshood Mustapha and Abdulrasak fell apart, he probably never thought it would degenerate to the level that his Crystal Place shopping complex would be demolished; unfortunately, it happened.

On several occasions, the government of Abdulrasak has ordered the pulling down of Soliu Mustapha billboards, stopped many of his community development projects, like the Health Centre and Emirate Pavilion.

Bukola is a mere mortal in Kwara, but his father, Olusola Saraki, was not just a colossus in Ilorin but a demi-god in Kwara.

But for Abdulrasak, nothing is sacred, so the treatment he gave Mustapha’s Crystal Mall had earlier been given to Baba Saraki’s Ile Arugbo.

APC Chieftain, Ibrahim Moro, not only regrets supporting Abdulrazak, but he said in an interview on August 18, 2025, that “No household in Kwara State wakes up in a day without raising curses on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasak.”

Moro’s claim is harsh and scary, but history will vindicate the just and convict the unjust.

Apart from desiring a third term with Yakubu, Abdulrasak, since he assumed office in 2019, shows that there is no love lost between him and the people of Kwara North.

For example, early in his government, Abdulrasak denied the region’s son, Mahmud Saka, the chance to be Vice Chancellor of Kwasu despite coming first in the interview and already occupying the position in acting capacity.

Three candidates were shortlisted: Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, Mahmud Saka and Yisa Muhammed Gana.

Saka came first, followed by Gana, while Akanbi came third. He picked Akanbi from Central, who came third, to be VC.

Since Abdulrasak assumed office, roads, education, healthcare, agriculture, housing, environment, and others have remained in a terrible state. One can hardly see a positive signature of Abdulrasak in Kwara North and Kwara South.

Yusuf Ahmed, a Nupe man based in Ilorin, said, “I don’t believe the Governor and those championing power shift to Kwara North love us; they just want to use our son as a place-holder for eight years.

“Because if they love us, they will be concerned with the issue of insecurity that has destroyed our land. They want to give us power, but they are unconcerned about the insecurity that is depleting our population daily.

“I am stuck in Ilorin now. I can’t travel home to see my family because of insecurity. Secondly, there are insinuations that the Governor is backing the Speaker to be the choice of Kwara North. We don’t want him; he will be another Shaaba Lafiagi or Abdulfatai Ahmed, that is, a governor in office but not in power.

"If the Governor really desire a genuine power shift to the North, he should allow our elders to present a consensus candidate. We have men like former Minister of Transport and Sport Ibrahim Isah Bio and others, who are politicians worth their weight in gold. We don’t want a Greek Gift’’.

Like Kurumi, like Abdulrasak

Like Kurumi’s tortoise journey, Abdulrasak, Kwara Governor’s ‘third term’ agenda is heading for disgrace.

Any attempt to force Yakubu on Kwarans as the APC gubernatorial candidate or give the Kwara Central senatorial ticket to Abdulrasak will end in electoral doom for the APC.

Abdulrasak tortoise journey confirms what the Good Book said in Galatians 6:7: ‘Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap’.

Our governor has sown the wind, so this reporter is not surprised that he is harvesting the whirlwind. (Hosea:8.7)

PoliticsKwara: Governor Abdulrasak Accused Of Using Sponsored Rallies To Decieve Tinubu by brutustech(op): 11:06am On Apr 15
Abdulrasak reverts to sponsored protests as hope of his Third Term through the Kwara North Agenda fades

If Abdulrahman Alade Abdulrasak, the Governor of Kwara State, had heeded to the warning of this reporter on December 23, 2025, that his Third Term Agenda, which he is masquerading as Kwara North Agenda, will end in disgrace like Kurumi’s tortoise journey, he won’t be flogging a dead horse today by sponsoring protests across Kwara – all in a bid to deceive the world that Kwarans are behind the aspiration of his anointed lackey Danladi Yakubu, Speaker of the Kwara House of Assembly, as the next governor of the state Olukayode Thomas reports.

Introduction

The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasak, has resorted to sponsoring protests to wriggle himself out of self-inflicted travails.

After frittering away the gains of O to ge, coupled with his non-performance as governor, and making enemies that will last a lifetime, Abdulrasak felt he had a solid plan B: a third – term in office through a puppet.

And the man for the job is Danlandi Yakubu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, whom he had planned to crown as the next Governor using the Kwara North Agenda as a smokescreen.

Then penultimate Thursday, the unanticipated happened. It was reported that President Bola Tinubu and the APC leaders have endorsed Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) as the man who will fly the APC flag in the Kwara State gubernatorial election in 2027.

Since the news filtered in, Abdulrasak has lost sleep.

Third Term Agenda not an afterthought
Just a few months into his government, Abdulrasak rolled out his political hegemony plan. To achieve this, he formed a band that sang sonorous songs to Kwarans about the beauty of power shifting to Kwara North, with Yakubu as the beneficiary.

The Chief Chorister was Kunle Sulyman.

But the cacophony of tunes from Sulyman and his Orchestral did not resonate with Kwarans. They saw it as an agenda to install a stooge for Abdulrasak’s third term.

They argued that if the governor actually loves Kwara North, he should have anointed a strong-willed politician from Kwara North, such as Ibrahim Isa Bio, a former Minister of Transport and Sports, or another charismatic politician from the North.

When Sulyman and his band’s songs were submerged by the nays, Abdulrasak turned to members of the State House of Assembly. The legislators’ songs were also greeted with rejection. Local Government Chairmen also failed to galvanise Kwarans behind Yakubu.

Next, Abdulrasak turned to traditional rulers. According to Sahara Reporters, these were promised ₦100 million each, in two tranches, if they could convince Kwarans to support the installation of Yakubu. This also failed.

The moment the news of BOB’s endorsement became public, Abdulrasak went back to sponsoring paid adverts and press conferences by APC elders, Kwara elders, traditional rulers, Local Government chairmen, and others to protest the decision.

But Kwarans are unimpressed with the pro-Yakubu campaign, ditto stakeholders in the Kwara APC.

Why Abdulrasak wants Danladi by any means

Are Abdulrasak and Yakubu Siamese twins? Why the insistence on him when APC stakeholders at local, state and national levels have rejected him?

Many Kwarans allege that Abdulrasak wanted a yes man, like Yakubu, who would cover atrocious dealings.

Many alleged that the misgovernment includes, but is not limited to, what has been described as the biggest rape of Kwara since creation by Ayansola Mohammed, a former legislator, via a N35 billion bond.

According to Mohammed, the bond was not included in the 2021 budget, and the repayment plan is outrageous. Ayansola had expressed surprise that funds had already been allocated to most of the projects in the bond in the 2021 budget.

Only Yakubu will succeed Abdulrasak and not probe these projects: Tunde Idiagbon Flyover, the one at Unity Road, the beautification works done around Unity and GRA, all said to be awarded at an outrageous cost.

Others include the remodelling of 172 rooms Kwara Hotel. From an initial quote of N3.5 billion by Crystal Group, Abdulrasak eventually awarded the renovation to Craneburg for N17.8, with a report suggesting that it could eventually rise to N30 billion.

Only Yakubu will not want to know why his godfather spent N724 million on foreign trips within three months, according to NBS.

Abdulrasak’s shabby and poorly done renovation and rehabilitation of supposedly dilapidated schools across the state, like Government High School Adeta, Pategi Secondary School, Offa Grammar School, and others, will interest a successor who prioritises accountability.

Only Yakubu will not want to work with Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, and Lateef Fagbemi, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, so that the duo can scrutinise what happened to local governments’ funds in the eight years of Abdulrasak.

Government of family by family for family

Bukola Saraki’s era has been described as a government of friends for friends and empowerment of friends in all the 16 local governments in Kwara State, with Kwarans from Central highly favoured.

Abdulfatah Ahmed was a lone ranger; doors were closed to families and friends, except a few highly favoured from Kwara Central.

Under Abdulrasak, governance in Kwara has been described as government of family, by family and for family.

The first major contract under him, the renovation of the government house, was said to have been given to a family member.

PoliticsFendini Homes CEO Adelaja Adeoye Cleared Of Forgery Charges, Files N20M Lawsuit by brutustech(op): 7:29pm On Sep 01, 2025
...Files N20M Lawsuit Against Accusers

Abuja, Nigeria – August 31, 2025:

Prince Adelaja Adeoye, Managing Director of Fendini Homes, developers of Rayfield Gardens City Estate, has been cleared of forgery and document falsification allegations following a Nigerian Police investigation, as confirmed by a report from the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Oyo State.

Barr. Adedamola M. Adeniyi, Fendini Homes’ Legal Adviser, shared the police report with journalists, revealing how Adeoye invited friends to collaborate on a project, only to be betrayed by false accusations aimed at tarnishing his reputation. The accusers, Sheriffdeen Jimoh and Olanrewaju Ogundare of Privus Crest Ltd., allegedly orchestrated a smear campaign after failing to seize control of a project partnered with the Oyo State Government.

The investigation, concluded on August 11, 2025, following a 2022 petition, found no evidence of forgery or falsification by Adeoye. The report clarified that the Oyo State Government has no dealings with Privus Crest Ltd., only with Fendini Limited, dismissing the accusers’ claims. The allegations led to Adeoye’s illegal arrest on June 14, 2025, instigated by Jimoh and Ogundare, who falsely accused him of fraudulent activities, which turned out to be untrue.

Adeoye presented verifiable documents to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit in Abuja, debunking the claims. The accusers, unable to substantiate their allegations during a face-to-face panel at the Force Headquarters, were found to have acted in bad faith, according to the State CID report submitted to the IGP Monitoring Unit.

In response, Adeoye has filed a N20 million lawsuit against Jimoh and Ogundare at the Oyo State Federal High Court, citing harassment, embarrassment, unlawful arrest, and forced interstate transportation. He has also urged security agencies to investigate the accusers’ vendetta against his reputation and business.

This development underscores the misuse of false allegations to target business leaders, with Adeoye’s legal actions signaling a firm stand against such tactics.

PoliticsPDP Group: Saraki Panel Did Good Job, People Expected Our Party To Implode by brutustech(op): 5:04pm On Aug 29, 2025
A group known as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Renaissance says the party’s Reconciliation committee, led by Bukola Saraki, former president of the Senate, alongside the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State Bala Muhammed, did a good job reconciling aggrieved members of the party.

In a statement on Thursday, Bashir Sulaiman, convener of the group, said everyone expected the crisis in the party to implode, but that has not been the case.

Sulaiman said the party is now ready to plan its forthcoming convention peacefully.

“I am very impressed by what Dr. Bukola Saraki, the Reconciliation and Strategy Committee, and PDP Governors Forum led by Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, have done to get the PDP back on track,” the convener said.

“They were tasked with resolving disputes and preparing the party for its convention, and they have delivered on their objective with precision and dedication.

“Many had predicted that the PDP would collapse under the weight of its internal disagreements. Yet, thanks to Dr. Saraki, his Reconciliation Committee, and the backing of the PDP Governors’ Forum, the party has defied those expectations. The 100th, 101st, and 102nd NEC meetings were conducted without rancour, and long-standing issues, including the tussle over the National Secretary position, have now been amicably resolved.”

“Now that the committees for the convention and the zoning framework are fully in motion, it is clear that when focused and capable leaders join forces around a shared purpose, difficulties are transformed into opportunities to move forward.

“The party is now better positioned to take power back from a government that does not care about the needs of the people.”

The country’s major opposition party has been enmeshed in crisis since the aftermath of the 2023 general election.

Recently, Sunday Udeh-Okoye, Setonji Koshoedo, and Sam Anyanwu all laid claims to the party’s national secretary position until the party settled with Anyanwu.

PropertiesForgery Allegation Against Adelaja Adeoye Is False And Misleading. - MGT by brutustech(op): 7:35pm On Aug 03, 2025
Recent social media claims accusing Prince Adelaja Adeoye of forgery and document falsification are entirely false, misleading, and unfounded. These allegations by the instigators are a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation and discredit his project, after failure to steal what doesn't belong to them, driven by bad blood and envy from his former associates he invited and initially co-opted when he was seeking the opportunity with Oyo State Government in 2019, who later wanted to hijack the project as their own via a phony Privus Crest Limited belonging to the younger brother of one of his old associates.

We believe that former associates who tried to hijack the Rayfield Gardens City Estate project in Ibadan are behind this online smear campaign. Despite their efforts, Prince Adelaja Adeoye has cleared his name with verifiable documents, demonstrating the legitimacy of his business dealings, including his partnership with the Oyo State Government with his company Fendini.

On June 14, 2025, Prince Adelaja Adeoye was unlawfully taken to the Force Headquarters in Abuja based on a frivolous and misleading petition by Sheriff Jimoh and Olanrewaju Ogundare. However, when he presented his compelling evidences, the petitioners failed to substantiate their claims before the investigating officer, DCP Akin Fakorede, the head of IGP Monitoring Unit who the petitioners had tried to use to harass Adelaja Adeoye via misleading information, who discovered their shenanigans and falsehood in their scheme to unlawful use the police.

Prince Adelaja Adeoye has filed a lawsuit at the Judicial Division of Oyo State Federal High Court against the petitioners through Afe Babalola and Co, seeking N20 million in compensation and a public apology. He maintains that he secured the project through due process and merit which has been confirmed through all his documentations by police investigations, despite initial attempts by the petitioners to hijack it.

The success of the project has now made them very envious, jealous and so obsessed, wanting to destroy the project but it is too late for them, they should go and nurse their self inflicted wound due to their greed.

Fendini Homes CEO, Adelaja Adeoye remains focused on his lawful endeavors and will not be intimidated or harassed by those seeking to drag him into their unproductive schemes.

Relevant security agencies have been formally petitioned to investigate those involved in the media blackmail and false publication against him in their bid to dent his image through online media attacks, assuring to get to the root of the matter.

We urge the public to disregard these malicious claims and trust in the rule of law. Prince Adelaja Adeoye remains focused on his lawful endeavors and will not be intimidated by baseless accusations.
