1. You don't like him because he is fair, handsome and moved to your sister after you rejected his advances. 2. You claimed that he only sleeps at home BUT at same time said he buys food for only the children whenever he's returning home. 3. You claimed that he always beat your sister BUT you did not tell us your sister's role in the fight. 4. You admit that he takes care of the Children's school fees, saying that he'd stop if she moves out of his life with the kids. 5. I'm sure the friend's wife is disrespecting him because most woman can't accommodate friends/relatives of their husbands except theirs. The man is not a mad man to be quarrelling with his friend's wife Too many contradiction! You are withholding vital truth to justify your hate for the man. I condole with the young man! His only sin is that he is not buoyant Jewessgratitud3: Right now she needs advice on what to do and I'm also going to be sharing what I have advised her so far.
This man has used his foolishness to implicate my sister and their lovely kids. Before I go into details of what happened recently, I'll like to give a quick backstory of how all these came to be and how she even got herself into this mess
Backtrack to 2014 when she broke the news that someone was coming to see the family for her hand, I asked her who the person was but she refused to tell me saying I'll meet him when he comes. I was now like ha... This one you're hiding it. I never knew it was one useless guy that was living in our former area in the early 2000s that all he does then was stand at junctions disturbing girls. He also disturbed me one period like that and I so much dislike him because of his behavior plus he's fair and I dont fancy fair guys.
The day came and we started cooking. Already I had gotten a hint from my eldest sister that it's the guy and I said was that why she was hiding it? What's my own there. We move. As the day was approaching, my idowus husband called and told me to warn my sister that that guy she's pulling with is not it. That if she's trying to have something serious with him she'll be making a big mistake. I said, she's an adult and can make choices for herself.
He came with his people and we did everything and she moved in with him. Now, this guy doesn't do anything. He claims he's a lawyer but never goes to work. Most times he'll go for early morning training by 6am and after everyone has gone to work, he'll come home and be sleeping. initially my sister was covering him up that he's doing something but anytime I visit after school, I'll always meet him at home sleeping. I knew my sis was just covering him.
Before they married my sister owned a school that was doing well. After her first child the school was still doing well but they started having issues because she was the one bearing most of the financial burden in the house. Sometimes she would come to school with bruises on her face. Since she refused to talk, me I didn't bother asking because if I do she'll bark at me.it continue like that until she could no longer bear it and started opening up to me that the guy doesn't do anything. Just goes about from one junction to the other.
She took in for her second child and fell sick. The school suffered mismanagement and folded up. That was when the guy showed her his true color. They fought to the extent she left her kids and went to my sister's house. My elder sisters husband settled them and she went back.
She had her third child and the guy started his madness again. This time he would leave them and go for hours without food. When he's coming at night he'll buy food and call his children to come eat and leave my sister hungry. So anytime I go there I'll just find her something to eat. Sometimes not always. The day I said enough is enough and decided to pull her out of that nonsense was the day she called me, I was in a bus and she said for two days now she has not eaten anything and she's having headache. That the guy said he'll deal with her. I told her to hold on and sent her the little I could that I'll come and see her.
I got there and told her she can't continue like this . I told her to start following me to school to learn how to do what I'm doing and I'll be giving her small small daily pay any day she goes with me and later she can start sourcing for her own schools and be making her own money. I put her through and took her to a school immediately and assigned her to some classes after watching me for a few mins.
We did that for a few weeks and I was giving her the small thing I could after each day. She started going out to look for schools and two schools called her. She now said she can't be following me again , I said no problem. God helped her, She now got more schools and started selling books too and making money. When this guy saw it, he left feeding and only buys food for the children once in a while. Meanwhile their fighting continued.
Fast-forward to last year, the landlord called my sister that he has given the husband quit notice, not because he was owing but because he was always disrespecting the landlord. My sister tried to plead but he said it's not because of my sister but the husband. Now this guy's is so troublesome and brags a lot. He quarrels with the landlord a lot and always goes against the rules of the compound. I on the other hand have been telling my twin now that she has the money to get her own apartment and leave the lazy thing but she remained there.
Last two weeks Tuesday. during that heavy downpour, the landlord came with some police men and threw their things out in the rain as she was preparing her children for school. It was one of the police men that now had pity on her and said they should leave the things in the compound instead of throwing outside in the rain and helped my sister to bring then inside the gate. The husband ran away. After everything he called my sister to bring the children somewhere. When she got there it was a friend's house. He begged them to let his family stay the night and till now he's still there. I told my sister, shey I've been warning you about this guy. Bett look for a place and move in before this one's change their mind. Could you believe this man continued his laziness there? When everyone has gone out he'll go there and start sleeping till they come back from work and meet him. My sister said he has started quarrelling the man's wife . Someone who's squatting you you're challenging them.
he's talking about moving them to Mowe but my sister is not buying the idea and says she wants to get an apartment here on the mainland because of her job and move with only her children but I'm of the opinion that she should leave the children with him because if she goes with the children he'll run from his responsibility and never pay their school fees again.
What should she do because the guy travelled for his brothers burial now and the owner of the house was heard asking the wife why the guy and my sister are still in their house and said let him come back first . Meaning they are tired.
I've told her to get an apartment now o. |

Politics › Talk Edo Initiative Unveils Agba, Urges Him To Run For Edo Governor In 2024 by brutustech(op): 7:59pm On Sep 22, 2023 |
Talk Edo, an offshoot of THE TALK Initiative Nigeria, a project/programme founded in 2015, has announced the adoption of the immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba, as a political personality of interest in the build-up to the 2024 governorship election in Edo State.
In a release on Thursday, September 14, 2023, the Initiative said: “We believe the time has come to act by fully endorsing the aspirant and asking him to run for the upcoming elections in Edo state 2024.”
The Initiative stated: “Our state needs to thrive economically, uplift its people, and become a shining example of progress for Nigeria and the world.”
Created as a movement on all platforms to “air views and pay attention to the voice of the people, using our social media platforms, radio/television stations, and print media to advocate for good governance and development,” the Initiative said it was proud to announce its interest in Agba.
“The Talk Edo Initiative is proud to announce that its platform is now dedicated to creating awareness about a political aspirant who they feel is in line with the goals, vision, and mission, for which the Talk Initiative brand was created in 2015, which is to promote good governance, strong leadership, development at all levels of the state, promote values and our Edo culture,” the release quoted the movement to have said.
The release, which captured the rationale for the movement’s adoption, reads: “Edo State, located in the heart of Nigeria, in the south-south region of the state is a vibrant state with a rich cultural heritage and a history that dates back centuries, and also Benin City is the capital and largest city of Edo State in southern Nigeria. It is the fourth-largest city in Nigeria after Lagos, Kano, and Ibadan, with a total population of 1,782,000 as of 2021,
“Benin City used to be the centre of Nigeria's rubber industry; and, oil production is also a significant industry; it was an important city of the Edo kingdom of Benin, which flourished during the 13th to the 19th century.
“With the above history of Benin Kingdom and Edo state, there has been a loss of direction towards development and good leadership. Edo holds tremendous potential in various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and technology.
“In all this put together, we would agree that Edo state needs people of character, integrity, and someone with the capacity to help drive the Edo we need.
“The Talk EDO platform has (thus) endorsed the person of Prince Clem Agba, CON, a focus-driven man, a personality with integrity, capacity, and competence who had been tested at the state level as commissioner for environment and public utilities.
“Prince Clem Agba provided leadership in the urban renewal and drainage infrastructure drive of the Governor Adams Oshiomhole-led administration, which included beautification; greening of the streets, planting trees and ensuring that the state capital had functional street lights.
“He played a vital role in finding solutions to Edo State flood and erosion challenge with a robust stormwater project to tackle the problem of erosion in Benin city. It was a breakthrough that came more than 30 years after the last major stormwater project was done in 1979.
“This significant project was in addition to the clearing of the notorious costain Isonorho dumpsite in just five days; which posed as a problem that had overwhelmed over five governments [both military and civilian] for over two decades.
“Due to his unwavering commitment to service and development of society, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole invited him to join the Edo Rescue Team as a member of the state cabinet in 2009, a team fully charged and prepared to take Edo state to the highest possible height in political governance and development.
“While in office as the minister of budget and national planning, he focused on national planning, early budget submission to the national assembly, and strengthening the department of monitoring and evaluation in the ministry in order to effectively drive the national monitoring and evaluation process.”
The release continued: “The driving force behind this initiative, Talk Edo, is to extend a voice to the voiceless, advocate for good governance, and seek strong and credible leadership in Edo state.
“Talk Edo has a major responsibility to bridge the gap between Edo state and the world. It could be called ‘Edo meets the World’. The major goal is to promote the values of the state, and in Prince Clem Agba, we have seen all qualities that lead our vision and mission for a better Edo state.”
The movement said its objectives were to drive awareness about and conversation around the aspiration of Prince Clem Agba as a notable personality for the position of Edo State governor in 2024; as well as influence and lead key discussions around his achievements as commissioner and minister, among others.

Senator Dickson hosts Social Media Influencers, Unveils Bold Vision for Senate Committee on Ecology & Climate Change
Former Bayelsa governor and current Senator representing Bayelsa West senatorial district, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, welcomed Social Media Practitioners from across the nation today, gathering for a media interaction to discuss his new role as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.
At the media interaction, Senator Dickson highlighted his notable accomplishments spanning various sectors in Bayelsa, including the recent Excellence in Environmental Leadership Award for his outstanding contributions to the issues of environment. This prestigious award was bestowed on him by a coalition of 20 non-governmental organizations.
Furthermore, Senator Dickson's achievements encompass advancements in Education, such as the establishment of the Ijaw National Academy in Kaiama, the implementation of the Bayelsa Health Insurance scheme, and his initiatives that led to a reduction in maternal and infant mortality rates. Notably, his support for pregnant women registered with the state government played a significant role.
Under his leadership, the introduction of free boarding schools transformed the educational landscape, providing children with improved access to quality education. This initiative was especially significant as the concept of boarding schools was non-existent in Bayelsa prior to his assumption of office.
Governor Dickson's focus on healthcare infrastructure led to the establishment of numerous primary health facilities, over 80 primary health facilities were constructed, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches even the most remote corners of the state. These facilities have become crucial centers for providing essential medical services and preventive care to Bayelsans, making healthcare accessible and reliable.
The transformation of Bayelsa's infrastructure during Governor Dickson's administration was truly remarkable. The construction of the Bayelsa International Airport has not only enhanced connectivity but also opened up new avenues for economic growth and tourism. In addition, his commitment to improving the efficiency of the civil service streamlined governance, leading to better service delivery.
Governor Dickson's prowess in economic management was evident from the impressive growth in the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state. Under his leadership, the IGR surged from a modest 60 million Naira per month to an astonishing figure of over one billion Naira. This achievement reflects his strategic planning and implementation of effective revenue generation strategies.
Recognizing the importance of security, Governor Dickson launched the state security outfit, 'Operation Doo Akpo,' equipping it with state-of-the-art security equipment to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents.
Furthermore, his support for education continued through scholarships, ensuring that Bayelsa's brightest minds had the opportunity to pursue higher education. Additionally, the initiative of providing automatic employment to First Class graduates demonstrates his commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering growth.
Also, his contributions include the establishment of a substantial Cassava Processing Plant, along with the founding of numerous secondary and tertiary institutions.
You would recall that Senator Dickson was a recipient of Excellence in Environmental Leadership Award presented by Celestine Okwudili who represented Mrs. Ene Obi of Action Aid at the event.
Okwudili, said the award was conferred on the Senator for his contributions and stewardship in sustaining a healthy environment while serving as Governor of Bayelsa State between 2012 and 2020.
He explained that the Senator, during his tenure as governor, empaneled an International Commission on Oil Spills to assess environmental damages, determine responsibility, and develop a new legal framework for accountability and compensation in the area.
In his speech at the occasion, Dickson explained that the panel he constituted as governor, took samples of blood of residents of the oil producing areas and after laboratory tests it was discovered that there were heavy metal poisoning in their bodies.
Dickson said he drew the attention of the multinational oil firms to the development but that rather than doing something about it, they started fighting him.
He lamented that the situation was still reoccurring even as he urged the attention of his successor to the unfortunate situation and asked him to take action.
He said, “The oil companies were not cooperating with me then. They were even fighting me but I did not mind them because I knew I was fighting a just course.” He also explained how he recruited 250 graduates to protect the environment, especially the forest resources.
The Senator called on the federal government to pay attention to the reckless deforestation taking place across the country. The Senator promised to take advantage of his new position as Chairman, Senate Committee on Ecology and Climate Change to collaborate with all critical stakeholders on the issue of the environment.
He pledged to use all platforms available to him to advance the cause of the environment, the ecology and climate change.
“As the Chairman of the Senate Committee of Ecology and Climate Change, I will work with all NGOs in Nigeria, support the efforts of all institutions and bodies, to advance the cause of the environment, particularly to join the campaign against climate change.

Politics › Ex- Gov Emmanuel Mourns Late Aide, Says Elder Bassey Was A Dependable Ally by brutustech(op): 7:20pm On Aug 05, 2023 |
EX- GOV EMMANUEL MOURNS LATE FORMER AIDE, SAYS ELDER BASSEY WAS A DEPENDABLE ALLY
Immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, was among dignitaries at the funeral of his bossom friend, the late Elder Samuel Bassey, who during his tenure as Governor served him as Governor’s Special Representative in Lagos.
Delivering a funeral oration at the burial ground, former Governor Emmanuel described the late Samuel Bassey who passed on at the age of 59, as a friend, brother dependable and reliable ally who was permanently disposed to doing good, and pursuing noble causes.
The former Governor while recalling the good moments they both shared while Sam was alive, expressed grief at the demise of his friend.
He urged the bereaved family to draw consolation from God's word as recorded in 2nd Corinthians, chapter 5,verse 1; "For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands”.
Mr. Emmanuel prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest, as he journeyed back to his creator.
“Sam and I met at the University of Lagos, two young men from the same part of the country, united by a common quest for the golden fleece. We became friends since then, braving the onerous task of university education in a land far from home. He studied Finance, and I, Accounting, and we met regularly, solidifying our bond of friendship in the process. We also worshipped in the same church, and were together in the Men's fellowship of the United Evangelical Church, Surulere. I have been part of some important events in his life, and I have seen him in different moods. But whatever the event or circumstances were, he was always his firm and steady self. In the over 35 years of knowing Sam, I have not had cause to doubt his sincerity, forthrightness and friendliness".
“He was a brother in more ways than one, and was permanently disposed to doing good, and pursuing noble causes".
“Be it in his private life, in his family life, in his service to the community and his church, Sam proved a dependable and reliable ally. He was an easy going fellow, who also took seriously any task he set about doing. This was evident in his career and even his service to the church, as his 8-year tenure as our church committee chairman, and other roles he has played, would testify. It was in recognition of his diligence and work ethic that I found it easy to appoint him as my Special Representative in Lagos during my tour of duty as Governor, a responsibility he carried out with his usual aplomb and serenity".
“Today is the 6th day of August, 2023. In exactly 2 days, ti would have been the 60th birthday of the man whose remains lie before us in this arena. If it were up to me, I would have preferred to be giving a toast at his 60th birthday, but here I am, standing here to speak about him in the past tense, giving this elegy for my friend and brother, Elder Sam Bassey!"
“There are things I like to talk about. There are speeches that I enjoy giving. But I do not like elegies. I do not like to speak about the dead, especially if they are people as close and as dear to me as the late Sam Bassey, whose remains lie here today and whom we are gathered to bid farewell. But life, like a river: eventually goes where it must, not where we want it to go”.
“Not too long ago, precisely in March of 2022, we converged on this same venue for the obsequies of his father, the Late Pastor Benjamin Bassey, who had passed on at the age of 92. While that event could have been termed a celebration of life, this untimely death can only be referred to as that of a star dimmed in its prime.
“There are people here who have known Sam much longer than myself. There are definitely people who haven't known him for as long as I have. But whether you met him briefly or you have known him for years, I am certain that we all will agree that Sam was a good man, a humble man, a gentleman, and we are all united in this deep sense of grief!", he mourned.
The service was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life led by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno who read a message of Condolence on behalf of the Government of Akwa Ibom State. |

Politics › Udom Emmanuel: Footprints Of A Silent Achiever By Ufot Akan Umoren by brutustech(op): 2:56pm On May 28, 2023 |
Come the 29th of May 2023, when the class of 2015 State governors will be taking their last salute after their two-term tenure, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel will stand out among others as the Governor who has left a footprint in the hearts of Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians in general.
From the inception of his administration, Udom Emmanuel set-out to achieve a new dimension of governance that dwells on creating enviable structures of development. As a private sector practitioner, Udom professionally deployed his eight years tenure to re-direct the conventional achievement of government from not just building roads, markets, schools and other infrastructural projects but raised the bar to elevating such infrastructures and human capital development efforts to best global standards.
It is worthy of mentioning that even in highly specialized areas where the Federal Government feared to thread or has failed, Governor Udom led Akwa Ibom State to triumph in such ventures to the admiration of all.
Today, Ibom Air, a creation of the Udom administration, stands tall in our national aviation planet. It is to his credit that Ibom Air is the preferred airline when Nigerians speak of aviation business. Amongst his ranks of Governors, Udom will be remembered as the only Governor who created an award winning airline with a fleet of no fewer than nine (9) aircrafts. Not even the Federal Govt of Nigeria attained such a feat.
He strategically introduced the international terminal at the Obong Victor Atta Airport, Uyo, and also built a facility for the maintenance, overhaul and repairs for, not just Ibom Air aircrafts, but also for the servicing of other airline’s facilities, thus opening the state to international tourists and creating access to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for the state.
Udom also embarked on the creation of wealth generating industries like the Jubilee syringes, which today is the largest syringes manufacturing company in Africa; the Automated Flour Mills, St. Gabriel Coconut Oil Factory, Ibom Deep Sea Port, Ibom Industrial Park/Jetty as well as power, refinery projects, gas processing plants and top-class health facilities amongst others in a drive to create functional employment for the youths of the state.
While power generation and distribution that will guaranty the availability of 24 hour electricity has been a mirage for the Federal Government, it is on record that Ibom power established under the leadership of Udom is already generating no less than 150 megawatts of power for the people of Akwa Ibom.
Any visitor to Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, will be welcome by the towering Dakkada, the tallest building in the Niger-Delta region, built by Governor Udom which provides office space for various sectors of the economy.
There is also the Dakkada skills acquisition centre designed to train Akwa Ibomites in various fields which includes civil technologies, mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, ICT, fashion/tourism/hotel management, agriculture, steel fabrication, carpentry works and general studies.
On infrastructural development, Akwa Ibom has the best road network when compared to any state in the federation. A ten (10) lane road complete with two (2) fountains; the 29Km Etinan-Ndon Eyo road is also strengthened with two (2) stayed cable bridges; the dualized Uyo-Ikot Ekpene road; and the Ikot Oku- Ikono flyover all attest to the magnificent achievements of Mr. Udom.
As Governor Udom takes his exit, he will also be remembered by the good people of Akwa Ibom for life-touching projects including no fewer than 4,800 blocks of classroom with modern amenities modeled to provide the best of education for the future generations of leaders, highly equipped hospitals numbering about 20 and spanning across the rural areas of the State, state of the art skill acquisition centers, food production and agricultural projects.
The magnitude of achievement and meeting of the timelines despite the dauting challenges shows Udom Emmanuel as a governor that came into power prepared to work for the people.
Above all, Governor Udom’s tenure will be remembered for the peaceful atmosphere and secured environment that he created upon which the state machinery run freely especially the success of his novel Maintain Peace Movement, which created the enabling peaceful atmosphere for enhanced productivity as well as harmonious living in a multifarious state. Udom knitted the bonds of brotherhood and managed the process of succession without rancor.
Also noteworthy is his style of leadership primed on God’s direction as well as his bond with the ordinary people of Akwa Ibom whom he engages with at his various visits to the villages, towns and the city of Uyo.
Gov Udom has succeeded in weaving these sensibilities together to produce a successor, Pastor Umo Eno, whose victory at the polls signposts the expansion of the horizon of development in Akwa Ibom.
From the achievements of his administration, Governor Udom has displayed the characteristics of a silent achiever in whom Nigerians can place their trust in the future.

Politics › Kogi Guber: I Will Be The Governor For All Kogites, Dino Melaye Assures by brutustech(op): 8:45pm On Apr 29, 2023 |
April 29, 2023
Press Statement
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye, has assured the people of the State that he will serve in the fear of God and be fair and just to all Kogites when elected as governor.
Senator Dino, who gave this assurance during his consultative visits to the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfi, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Koto as well as the 11th Synod of the Methodist Church of Nigeria (Okun Diocese) in Lokoja, noted that his experience, performance as Senator and inner love for the people propelled him into the governorship race.
“As you are aware, His Royal Majesty, in the space of 4 years as Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I did 19 projects in your Kogi Local Government. I have a very special relationship with Kogi Local Government and by the grace of God, when elected as Governor, I will focus attention on the needs of our people, particularly the ecological challenges in this area.
“We are not unaware that the major business in this area is agriculture, trading and transportation. We shall make these ventures the focus of our administration by providing incentives that will encourage our people.
“I will be a Kogi governor that will govern our state in the fear of God. I will run an all-inclusive governance not as an Igala, Ebira, Okun, Kakanda, Bassa, Koto or Nupe governor but a governor for all under the guidance of the Almighty God.
“I congratulate you as the Leader of the Kogi West traditional rulers and I pray that under your leadership, Kogi West will produce a governor. I therefore seek your blessings as we go into the polls,” Senator Dino further said.
Responding, the Ohimege Idu said democracy has come to stay noting that even traditional rulers have always expressed support for the democratic process.
He described Senator Dino as a part of his Kogi Local Government who “is very much at home here.”
The Ohimege charged the Senator Dino Melaye Team to campaign on ideas and issues even as he gave him his blessings.
Also presenting himself to the Methodist Synod in Lokoja, Kogi State, Senator Dino recalled that since his emergence as the PDP governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, he had been going round the state to meet with Kogites from all walks of life.
“I have also been meeting with both Church leaders and Islamic clerics in our state to seek for their support and prayers ahead of the election,” Dino said.
The Bishop of the Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Albert Olorunmade, prayed for the success of Senator Dino at the polls.
