TravelRe: North Cyprus by btluv: 11:04am On Dec 18, 2010
@ Yemming
talking about ranking, do you know that the faculty of business and economics of eastern Mediterranean university has just been ranked one of the best six business faculty in the world,

I am not disputing the fact that the EMU is great, but just want to clarify your point.
EMU's faculty of business and economics is not in the best six in the world but among the best 6 in Turkey not world
go through that site very well,

@WIP4
Yemming is right u really patient and u earn my respect big time. do i have never met you nor talk to before but man
i can lay my life down my life for you , (LOL),

Am sorry if i got you angry, was only trying to stress that Nigerian schools are equally good.
So our people can also believe in them.
You have contributed so much to this thread, i never meant to rubbish your school,
Am sincerely sorry if i did sound like that,

@ WIP 4
If am to base my decision on this ranking i am probably going to change my mind, because over 5 Nigerian schools
superseded EMU. Nigerian schools aren't doing badly as we taught.

Country Ranking University Name World Ranking Category Article H-Index Citation Google Scholar Impact Collaboration Total
1 University of Ibadan 931 A 72.380 29.110 63.160 30.090 46.220 45.350 286.290
2 Obafemi Awolowo University 1389 B+ 53.350 15.320 18.470 23.680 23.020 30.250 164.080
3 University of Lagos 1516 B 35.170 18.500 20.270 16.760 16.290 27.760 134.750
4 University of Nigeria 1526 B 45.200 16.910 12.930 18.590 15.530 22.530 131.690
5 University of Benin 1672 B 34.230 12.670 12.030 18.590 10.660 11.700 99.880

whats the meaning of this rubbish ?  undecided

u foolishly open a thread to beg people to vote for your candidate as if it would put bread on the table of the average nigerian ? to boot u dont even know there is a difference between scammers and scanners LOLLLLLLLLLLL  grin

crass stupidity!
Mr English are u that perfect,  learn the use of apostrophe, u need it in your WAEC exam (that's if u the one sitting for it)
the boot in this context is wrong, (take note) scan the dictionary if in doubt
Most u always find fault in people's English, especially when they are fighting for a good course,

Thanks i appreciate you taken your time to respond to my question.
can i still meet up with EMU Masters
i went through their site and saw that the Masters fee is $9200. can I still get the 50% with a second class lower?
And what's next for me to do?
TravelRe: North Cyprus by btluv: 5:14pm On Dec 08, 2010
@ WIP 4
is it still possible to meet up with admission into south Cyprus university. the funds and necessary documents are ready.
i had university of Cyprus in mind , tried searching their site
but kinda confuse about their department of economics and management guess is not taught in English except their MBA. thinking of Msc finance do its 1 and a half years.
Most university programs in Cyprus aren't not in English (i Guess) cos i search Cyprus University of Technology also.

please your advice would greatly be appreciated.
I don't mind you recommending another good university.

thank you

RSA:
SA faces shortage of qualified accountants
South Africa's financial management and auditing sector is searching in vain for 22 030 qualified accountants, the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) said on Wednesday.

The institute said a total of 22 030 accountants were needed immediately.
http://www.mg.co.za/article/2008-11-05-sa-faces-shortage-of-qualified-accountants

Accountants like gold dust in South Africa

South Africa’s unemployment rate stands at 23.5% and is rising as the economic slowdown takes hold. Those who do have jobs are increasingly resigned to flat salaries and in some cases pay cuts. But qualified chartered accountants defy the trend: not only are they guaranteed a job but they can demand high salaries and two-figure annual increases.

The financial crisis has heightened the demand for accountants’ services and their rarity value seems to be increasing, recruiters say, as many are still choosing to work abroad and not enough students qualify and take their place.

Basedon this my friend you're in demand in SA.But whether the place will be friendly for you depend entirely on you. You'll definetely afford to live a very confortable life.
Thanks for this incisive view. am indeed very grateful.

Well btluv,

i've been in North Cyprus since march 2006 and so far, i can say the following:

1. It's a quite friendly place and the people here are some of the nicest people i know :-)
2. As for job opportunities, getting a job here is quite difficult, though if you have connections as usual, it would help. But the hours are long and the pay is just ok if you're working full time. but if you want to work and school at the same time, it's going to be difficult.
3. cost of living, i'd say is ok too. at least, for me. compared to Nigeria, certain items re pretty much about the same price after conversion.

Putting it all together, if you're looking for where to hustle while schooling, North Cyprus MIGHT not be the best place for you. as for SA, i have no idea about that place.

I'd advice you do a little more research on each place. Also, may i suggest this thread for you about nigerians living in cyprus

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-24054.0.html

i hope all this helps :-)
thanks i did appreciate your candid view and time to address to this,
am a graduate (UK) and a chartered accountant do u think i can get a job that will just maintain me pending the time i wrap up my program and head back to Niger, i really just want to exploit another country but can't rely on home
thanks again.
SA view still expecting,

Please I need help badly.
Found out dat after making sweet love wit my fiancée yestday night that the condom had busted (was carried away). She was happi becos she has bin on my neck, for us to get married b4 going for my Masters in January cos she is scared I won’t return to her. She jst refuses to understand that I don’t just want an extra burden.  I love her so much and wnt her to be d mother of my kids but not now, I told her to take sometin to flush it down but she wouldn’t because she believes that’s her bargaining chip 4 me to return.
Funny thing was she was so happy about it that she told my mum and she was happy too, I guess she would have told her own mum too.
They all refuse to understand,
Please house what drug, can I use for her that can wash it off (definitely without her consent).
It’s just about 20 hours now.
Am not a player so don’t know about this (she is my 1st and going to be my only girl)
please dont criticize me for not knowing,
Thanks for your help in advance
