zandora: To those of you wanting to post the copy of your degree certificate to WES, you could scan it and email it to me so I can post it for you as it'll be faster and way cheaper - that is if you want though (I'll do it for free obviously and send u a copy of the receipt). I'm doing this to show my appreciation to those who told me to be patient in my job search and not give up because I've now landed a nice bank job Wow! Congratulations Zandy. God bless you |

Thanks There is nothing like civil servant sir! Your responsibilities and duties determines your NOC, You will always find a NOC that is closely related to your core responsibilities. |

elhey: Using this, i scored 368. I scored myself 6 each on IELTS because i am yet to write it. Is it looking like feasible? I have a Family friend that can nominate me but i read here its only family that can nominate. What do u advise? Advise: 6 is actually the least score that qualifies you for the Entry, you should aim at getting a CLB 9 (LWRS 8.5,777) in each of the test and that gives you a higher CRS. You can only be nominated by an immediate family member and not family friend. |

edababa007: Hello House, I have been trying to have my wife's ICAN ATS certificate assessed along with her BSc. While WES has verified her BSc documents, ICAN is yet to clear her with WES. I have read on this forum that her ICAN ATS cannot be used to claim points for 2 certificates. My question now is, Can she withdraw her ICAN ATS from documents to be assessed by WES? if yes, how can we go about this. Thx Send them an email to withdraw the ICAN and go ahead with only the Bsc assessment. |

Etfash: Open MS Word, paste each scan on specific pages... For instance, copy and paste your scanned passport in to the Word opened and edit appropriately. Click enter on your keyboard to enter the next page, there you paste your next document; continue to paste each document on different pages, edit appropriately Click on 'save as'; a dialogue box pops just at the right; scroll down to PDF and click. Name file accordingly, for instance 'supporting documents' and click publish. Your PDF is automatically created and saved in your default store except you selected other destination. I don't know if all document has to be in PDF, but I am certain PDF files aren't easily altered. Except it is converted to word, edited and reconverted to PDF; something I don't think CIC would do. @Shodexy, the OINP site is opening. @JesusDWay, it's good to have you back; welcome! @Justwise, thank you. Cheers! Thank boss! That means the scan should come out in jpeg not pdf and then copy & paste the jpeg on Ms word. Did I get it right? |

zandora: Yes it is very possible to change your NOC after ITA. I myself changed my NOC from 1114 (which I received my ITA under) to 1312 (which I submitted my app under) with no problem and I didn't even explain this in my letter of explanation. I believe that if I hadn't changed my NOC there's a high possibility that I would have been refused since 1312 aligned better with my skills. I would advise you to change yours to a more suitable NOC prior to submission as this doesn't affect your score hence you can change it. I also know a few ppl who changed theirs without any hassle. Thank you so much! |

irondome: Ideally, those sort of information should even be locked in. Check if you can edit it, if yes, then you may give it a try, if there has been a successful precedence. I don't know if their applications have been successful but it is editable from the profile, I don't think its worth the risk! I will rather decline and edit the profile while we wait for another draw or make do with what we have. |

irondome: Have those guys received their PPRs. You usually can't change information that fetches you your ITA points without consequence. One thing I know from some applicants' GCMS notes is that CIC agents would always compare your ITA profile with your final application profile. Any material change would definitely attract a refusal. While a change of NOC doesn't directly impact your point, however, such change does attract a suspicion of fraud/misrepresentation. If the NOCs are indeed similar, I would suggest you keep the old NOC and tweak your job description instead (where possible) Really appreciate boss! God bless |

irondome: You are required to do your medicals before final application submission. Please note that if you submit your application without uploading the medical summary assessment form, your visa application would be refused. For the medicals, look through the list of appproved panel doctors in Nigeria. Give one of them a call to schedule an appointment. Present yourself for the test. You would get a receipt and medical assessment sheet. Upload the sheet in the appropriate space in your application. Most applicants usually get the medical passed status in 1-3 days after final application submission. Thanks boss! Is it possible to change NOC after ITA? Just wondering.... |

Garykasparov: The medical exam will be required when you intend submitting your application after you must have received ITA. you can walk into any of the approved clinics at your convenience Thank you boss! Does it mean CIC should have received the medicals before application submission or they will update my profile with the result after I have submitted |

40manlappy: Good evening dupyshoo, superchi, irondome, zandora, Etfash, other gurus in the house In anticipation of nomination programs that may come up, I would like to apply for "To Whom It May Concern" (employment reference letter) from my employer(s). My questions are as follows; 1. What format should the letter take? Is there a specific format for Canadian Immigration? 2. I have been with my current employer for nearly 2 years. Is one letter enough? Or I have to go back to ALL my previous employers? Thank you. Not sure there is a particular format as far as it contain all necessary information like period of employment, position held, main responsibilities, annual salary and number of hours per week, someone said it should be "TO WHOM" YES! You will have to get a reference from all previous employers that makes up your total year of experience indicated. |

This is a programme aimed at building human capital development. The west did it before us and it paid them off massively, putting them at a sustainable competitive advantage position. China and other fast developing economies are doing it now. We do not need to kill it at this stage because we have no insight in it future gain but it's a promise that when all the scholars come back to give and pour into the state all that they have learnt, the State would look back and wished they had done more. We call on the state government to continue this great cause. Long live Delta State! Long live Nigeria! |

I hope this will make a front page because the lives of these first class students are being threaten everyday in foreign universities for unpaid fees. AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, DR. IFEANYI OKOWA, GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE, ON THE PLIGHT OF FIRST CLASS GRADUATE SCHOLARS ABROAD. Your Excellency, Dear Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, we are constrained to pen this open letter, to bring to your attention, the plight, hardship and financial quandary, students under the Delta State Scholarship Board, First Class Graduate Scholarship scheme, are currently faced with. As you are aware, the First Class Scholarship Bursary Scheme, embarked to have the state’s most stellar students, enjoy the benefits of top tier education- and exposure, to make for human capital improvements, and as investments for the future, in line with the ‘Delta Beyond Oil’ vision of a state excelling in all spheres. In line with this vision, many graduates and professionals keyed into this program, convinced of the commitment and assurance of the state, both in advancing the education of it’s own, and making for future returns, with trained scholars, academics and internationally groomed professionals, making good the vision of taking the state to amiable heights in their chosen endeavours. But alas, this has become a challenge and painful embarrassment by the day, as funds meant for this program have not been made available to most of us in the last twenty (20) months, with others, in worse receipt states. Majority of us caught up in this, are studying for our PhDs, with some in their finals, and others in their penultimate study years. We already have explored all means to having this quagmire resolved, as enjoined by the board, with no indication of respite in sight, or any assurance to the contrary, and our conditions abroad have become dire. At the moment, our Universities have served notice regarding our fees default status, and have threatened, and with some others- initialized, a withdrawal process, and nullification of students visas- and consequently, impending deportations. In addition, a blacklist of the confidence standing of the scholarship board is already in effect, and assurance/award letters have been dismissed as lacking trustworthiness. Already, meeting up with bills and maintenance, has been fraught with embarrassing defaults, with county court judgements/injunctions and demands from creditors, becoming an unsettling reality. We’re not unmindful of the state’s financial situation, occasioned by the drop in revenue, and allocations, and this has been demonstrated in the lead up to this route with steady and forbearing persuasions, formal and informal. Again, we are pressed to plead that you employ your good office in having this issue attended to, with prayers that said funds are made available to us, so we could- at the very least, have tuition and basic commitments attended to, and to save the state and ourselves, another, in the annals of disrupted programs and broken lives. We trust that both as a father and leader, our welfare would/and has not lost your attention, hence this plea. Thank you, Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for steps you would take to rectifying this, and may God bless Delta State.
