I initially received an offer through whois privacy mail a month earlier before this sale from a developer/domainer saying his client is interested and has a budget of $1.5k. I totally ignored the offer because of his presentation, he said in his mail that he knew "it's a few month old".. I was like "and so what?".
Exactly a month later, I received a $2k offer thru afternic broker while my asking price was just $6.5k. After some back and forth, we settled for $4.7k.

Any business requires patience and moreso for domaining.

Just because an end-user asked you a question about CPC or SV, or any technical question, you shouldn't be in haste to reply. You can reply after 2 or more days.

A hasty reply shows desperation and will cost you more than you can imagine. Your urge for "quick sale" should be quenched as regards domaining cos it’s a waiting game.

1. Be Business wise

Please fellas (myself inclusive), Just because you've seen sales report and success stories, you shouldn't just go on domain registration spree without proper research and know-how. This could be calamitous especially if you have a constrained budget/capital. Domain flipping could be addictive if care is not taken. May we not go bankrupt o.

2. Compensate yourself after you make a sale or meet a target

Just because you are the one putting in the work or you're the only one running the business, you've decided not to compensate yourself...no, no...I think you need to change. It's either you pay yourself a salary or buy yourself somethings when you make sales or meet a specific target. For me, when I meet a target in any business, I buy myself the latest gadget of my choice (mostly phone/tablet). As I'm an android guy, I buy myself latest Samsung. This serves as a motivation kinda for me to keep putting in the work required.
