I believe in merit rather than prejudice. if african -Americans want to be recognized, they need to step up and not blame everything on racial discrimination. Didnt moonlight win best picture which is d biggest award for d night. In my own opinion, the oscar winners deserved it. Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors Bt Cassey affleck deserved d award. denzel was great in fences bt he had to put in a lot of effort but Cassey affleck brilliantly played out his role effortlessly. He became the role. As for Emma and Ruth, see loving and LA LA land and judge for urself

AMAA needs to grow up and scrap the following award categories off: best nigerian film, best film in an African language, best promising actor and best child actor. They are just too uncalled for. Y must dere be a separate award for only nigerian films? Why must there be a separate award for films in African language. Is AMAA not entirely an African thing in the first place.It makes no sense. And as for best promising actor, we dont need it. You cannot deduce how promising an actor is from just one movie, I mean what is the yardstick for measuring that. As for best child actor. AMAA could nominate a child that did extraordinarily well with the adults in the major acting award categories. Atleast that is what is done by various award bodies in the world. If AMAA wants to attain the international recognition it deserves, all this should be looked into.
And if AMAA is so obsessed with increasing the award categories, they could add: An award for best original score/ song and award for best sound mixing.

What makes a nation strong is not by their military strength but how united they are. When citizens of a country see themselves as not one, they dont speak with one voice. Can't stop laughing since I saw the nomination list. It looked like the judges in charge were heavily drunk from drinking several bottles of beer at night, wakingup the next morning from a migraine hangover they decided to compose a nomination list. Its glaring that headies is a joke!!....I believe dat if u are good u dont need any award to tell u dat. As long as u hav d love and acknowledgement of d ppl. U are good to go. How do u expect an award system dat does not knw dat tekno has been in d industry for several years now(something my 7-year old brother knows) to knw d artiste that deserves a nomination/award. Just when headies had started gaining ppl's attention and credibility, they are fvcking up.

I watched Dallas buyers club severally but I couldn't pinpoint any tin extraordinary in Matthew's performance. Jared letto's performance was what blew my mind. Leo nailed his role so well
