All4naija, either u sound immature and ur exposure is limited to the foxnews , skynes and bbc u have been watching. if u read the facts right about libya's investment in africa, the article never mentioned Gadaffi's name , u need to go back to schl and ask for a refund cos ur inability to understand what u read baffles me, secondly, u said he sponsors terrorism worldwide, it would be great if u can pinpoint one in particular without referring to the propaganda news u been reading.

All4naija if have to call Gadaffi a terrorist u forgot the crimes of CIA in vietname, japan etc , and their support for dictators around the world, i bet u also forgot the killing of innocent people in iraq and afganistan. oh, what about the Iran Air Flight 655 commerical plane bombed by the americans, what a plonker u are, i know history isnt ur best subject but surely u cant be that stupid not to know all these

FAST FACTS: Libya's powerful economic presence in Africa

Under Moamer Kadhafi, Libya has invested hundreds of millions of dollars (euros) in a large number of sub-Saharan African countries in sectors as different as hotels, telecommunications, banking, agriculture and fuel distribution.

This is a non-exhaustive list of its main investments via the Libya Africa Portfolio (LAP) which is an umbrella for several groups, among them the Libya Arab African Investment Company (LAICO).

CHAD

- Construction of a major school, university and sports complex.

- Purchase of SOTEL, Chadian telephone company (Societe tchadienne de telephone).

GABON

- LAICO manages one of Libreville's two big hotels. OilLibya is involved in oil exploitation.

- Since 2008 it has held a 52 percent holding in the Panafrican radio Africa N°1 which has 20 million listeners in 20 countries.

GUINEA-BISSAU

- A five-star hotel, four cashew nut processing plants, development of farmland.

The implementation of the deal has been held up by a contract dispute bwtween Tamoil and the Ugandan authorities.

- LAICO owns the Lake Victoria hotel at Entebbe.

ZIMBABWE

- The Libya Foreign Bank, subsidiary of the Libyan Central Bank, owns 14 percent of the Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe (CBZ), one of the biggest private banks in the country, in which the state has a holding.

This is crazy!!!! After destroying the goodness of Gadaffi in Libya, the prosperity he created for his people, the future and the values of selfworth he gave the libyans and the sense of togetherness and bright future he proposed for the , development of Africa. The International Criminal Court (ICC) now wants to prosecute him from crimes against humanity, an organisation Libya is not a consignatory of ( the last time i checked). makes me laugh, no wonder countries like Nigeria and other petroleum exporting countries in Africa are backward and are in abject poverty cos they are dummies and muppets of the western world. I honesty dont know what is right or what is wrong again, in my next life i just want to be an alien, just fly sausers around and make funny noises

Hmmmm. NATO and the UK have so far succeeded in taking Africa apart once again, first it was the food basket of Africa, Zimbabwe and now Libya, now what we have left as african leaders are muppet and arse.holes, it makes me wonder how stupid africans are, why cant our african leaders protest and withdraw from the commonwealth, the IMF, UN and other international communities in protest, i mean afterall, this international organisations are created by the white man to exploit africa, tobe sincere its pains me that again the white man have succeded in doing what white people love to do most which is, enslaving, invading ,and murdering on a large scale all in the name of spreading  democrazy.

so many countries in africa and the western world  preach the system democrazy and none and once again none can boast the wealth of infrastrusture and standard of living in libya ,

Democracy? Is that when you invade another country (A lot weaker than yours,) kill innocent people, steal all their national resources, tell everyone how to run their country, when they seem incapable of running their own (15 trillion dollars of debt, so far!) Great!!! Anyone who thinks that's the way to go is just 'braindead'!. Its very sad to see my beloveth continent going to waste

Politics › Re: Nigeria Urges Gaddafi To Quit by Builder: 2:48pm On Aug 23, 2011
So, why is everyone against Gadaffi? Despite the image created for him he has made remarkable advances in human rights and offers the best standards of living for any African nation. Free education, free housing, affordable non GM food, clean water, cheap electricity, affordable loans and it has resisted attempts to sell out Libya to western investors for a long long time because Gadaffi understands the consequences.

One of his sons was in the last couple years starting up democratic institutions which the population could get involved with and the uprising was partly comprised by Muslim fundamentalists from the West of Libya. NATO capitalised on this by demonising Gadaffi and grossly exaggerating stories and even fabricating lots of them about the on going occupation.

All the hope Libya had is now gone, because it now has a puppet regime in the making who are going to sell out Libya's wealth and trade it for "freedom"

Gadaffi was attempting to make a gold backed currency and encouraging other African nations to join him in this move which would mean that we could see better balance and essentially destroy the petrodollar (quite rightfully, the big oil industry players and the governments and investors they support and vice vera only care about profit and will stop at no lengths to secure profit whether it means death or poverty to others).

Jesus!!!! Libya once the richest country in Africa is now a war zone, how in heavens name could this have happened, just to show that there is no God. In the name of oil, this white bastards have enslaved just another developing country before our eyes. How could this world be so cruel and evil yet proclamining to sppread democrazy, thousands of human beings dead, displaced , infrastructures detroyed all in the name of oil, i can now see british, french, italian oil men on planes , occupying first class seats rushing to libya to divide the countries resources ,while libyan professionals , now refugee displaced cos of NATO bombing heading towards europe in canoes across the sea to work as cleaners, dust men been driven back by the right wingers in europe and labelled ecomomy immigrants or illegal alliens. meanwhile this were proud libyans we never heard of as been refugees. Shame of u OBAMA, what a bastard u have been and a disgraced, i sure hope and pray the tea party people murder u just like u have murdered innocent Libyans. cameron, sakozy and the other NATO heads, may ur days and that of ur family be filled with frustrations, disppointments and misery, to the supporters of the rebel, welcome to hell folks

Arab leaders are useless but african leaders and sophisticated morons, i see no reason why they (african leaders) cant withdraw from the commonwealth, IMF, UN or any other international community for invading and once again colonising their continent, afterall they are better off without this thieving international communities formed for the sole purpose of enslaving and invading africa.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Gaddafi Falls: Libyan rebels in 'final push' for capital by Builder: 2:26am On Aug 22, 2011
It makes me sick that I cannot really support the "rebels" because I think they started as a front for BP, Britain and France who want unlimited access to the oil and natural gas there in vast quantities. The USA has had "advisors" (most likely CIA operatives) on the ground there for years. Qaddafi's big sin was wanting to stop using the US Dollar as the medium of trade for oil, at least the big sin for the USA. But the war there is for control of the resources. And just as any country rich in resources there are greed heads by the dozen backed by their military and NATO, who are itching to get their mits on it.

Quaddfi is not a nice ruler. Well, WTF, neither are most of the other dictators and thugs the USA, Great Britain etc., have supported during my entire lifetime. Saddham was not a nice guy either. BUt as long as he was firmly in the USA's pocket the government of the USA supplied him with weapons including chemical and biological weapons. Then we started to wring our hands over this terrible weapon he used.

I know that citizens of the USA are not very bright when it comes to anything other than their favorite TV show, football team and who's won the NASCAR title and how many times, but that is really no excuse for letting the government rapidly become one of the most hated, viscious, violent government that has ever graced the face of the earth. If the USA is backing these rebels you know that it is because the oil companies are demanding it. Pure and simple

This is a sad day for Humanity. Evil is deafening good as we write. Humans are dying live in medias instantaneous updates. Yeterday familys sitting down to eat. Tonight being ripped apart for greed. Hatred growng with each life lost. Revenge will perpetuate the Evil as opression eats at the hearts through generations to come.

These were the words of Moussa Ibrahim:
"The hospitals cannot even cope with such a death toll. We are saying out loud to the world, this is a peaceful city, and now it's being turned into hellfire because of Nato's actions. In last 11 hours, more than 1300 people were killed, more than 5000 wounded in Tripoli! This is really, really bad"

Welcome to Bagdad folks, africa branch, and to those dumb stupid nigerians supporting NATO, Bleep u all and i hope the rebels kill u one of this days

who is God's name is the fool that compile this list? where is UK or the USA on this list. i beg ignore this stupid list and the white men that compile it, USA is the most prolific terrorist country in the world and it never made the list, the uk for example have exported prolific and exemplary terriost like the shoe bomber and the 7/7 and where is spain and their ETA terrorist?

The reigns of USA terrorism knows no boundary from South america to middle east to all though africa and those men like henry kissinger and geroge bush, cia etc are as free as the canary bird florishing and living large, and before i forget where is france on the list and her destrcution of central africa. At times i do wonder how the western countries define terrorism and terror?.

I do understand nigeria have some serious issues with regards to MEND and boko harem but close examinisation of this group will reveal links to this western useless oil companies , i just hope GEJ does something drastic and brutal to eradicate this about this terrorist groups.

HA!!, the west economy is in tatters, the US is on the verge is an economy breakdown, the eurozone is about to collapse due to massive ressession and massive borrowing by its menber states etc, in the light of this, these ba.stards gonna be aggressive with any african rising economy that dont fall in with their terms and conditions of trade ie one sided trade that favours them.

It just saddens me that Libya one of the strongest and richest states in africa is now turned to a war zone and the ecomony messed and bleeped up in a well and beautifully executed plan in stages, (1) spread rumours Gadaffi wanna massacre his people (2) UN approved intervention coup (3) unelected rebels installed , (4)gangsters, rapist and evil sod given weapons of destruction by the west to kill its people while they drill oil for fun and AU is left to provide peace (4)IMF steps in and put libya in debt, u get my drift and libya becomes just like any other african economy

NATO have so far have killed children, women and men in there quest to remove Gadaffi from power and getting there hands on their oil well but u never read and see this on the news instead we are shown news of a white man in norway killing white folks with fertilizer and bibi gun, meanwhile somewhere in Libya, apache helicopers and sophisticated weapons are been used to slaugter innocent being yet the media never show those

My prediction for next year is as follows, Gadaffi wld be killed, the UK owned BP (british petroleum) will have its headquaters in tripoli and british preofessionals will swamp the libyan oil like locust, hence jobs for bristish people in libya, while libyan nationals who cant find jobs in their country will arrive on the uk to work for the minimum wage while the british media labelling them illegal immigrants

Noam Chomsky once said, In the quest for oil and power, the US and its alies will pull out the stops to prevent any really functioning govenment or peace from developing in the arab world

what a baised and sick world we are living.when NATO of which Norway was  a menber were busy killing kids, women and destroying infrastructures in Libya the west and their media machine was taking sides of  horrible scenes of women carrying their dead kids but when its happens in a western country they want us to sympathise with them. whats a load of bollcks!!!

More to come, this time i hope in the UK and other NATO menber countries, let them see how it feels like to witness deaths and destruction in their own background and maybe just maybe they will think twice about killing innocent people all in the name of OIL
